The Cassandra Lance Group - Love our new place!

The Cassandra Lance Group

(5 reviews)

I have had a terrible time working with Rheannon Hansen and The Cassandra Lance Group…read more They have lied to me multiple times and even when caught lying, they ignore it like they never did lie. I own The Little Handyman. We were contracted to perform repairs at 3 different units at Rheannon's property. These works were performed on August 11th. 2 of the 3 units paid 10 days later. 1 unit was not. Our system sends an automated payment reminder weekly. These were sent on 8/18, 8/25, 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20 and 10/27 An individual email was sent on both 9/10 and 9/26 inquiring about the payment. It wasn't until 10/28- 78 days later, that I was responded to. The email stated "The tenant states no one from your company ever went". Lower in the body of that email, Rheannon stated "They never went according to the tenant." Please see the attached emails here (all personal information of tenant is retracted) Knowing this was not true (and this is where the story gets really good)- I replied with screenshots of the GPS and a text message with the tenant showing we were, in fact there. Screenshots also attached in link above. And here is the best part- Once I confronted her with the GPS and Text message to the tenant, Rheannon didn't apologize for lying. In fact, she didn't even acknowledge it. Instead, she tried to say our work wasn't good. But hilariously, she attached a screenshot (see attached) of the tenant stating we did the work and were there. The date of that response? August 14th. Thereby self-confirming the lie of us "They never went according to the tenant" and "no one from your company ever went" from the first coorespondence on 10/28 I won't bore you with the details of the threats to leave my company a bad review if we didn't drop it (which she did, then deleted, then redid under an alias as not to have a rebuttal with her name attached since she's clearly in the wrong). Or the threat to countersue in the event we put a lien on the property for unpaid service (our only recourse). Bottom line- if you want a dishonest realtor who will never accept responsibility and who stiffs local businesses. This is your team to use. There are thousands of amazing realtors in DFW. Don't support one like this.

This place has a decent refund policy with enough advance notice, so if you are considering the Nethery Estate, book early. There are not a lot of rooms here and it appears from the pictures inside of it that groups/families tend to rent all of them for events, so it can fill up quickly. The estate is a nifty place. It is an older style home, but well kept. You park in the back and are texted a code for the gate to get in. The key to your room is left outside on the back porch and you go to your room as you would like. Definitely a colonial style home with a suit of armor next to the stairs (that's true). If you look closely around, you will see several references to Harry Potter, which my wife enjoyed finding and we looked around. Our room was awesome, with a nice couch and TV in front of it, a small table to sit at to eat, a comfy bed, and a separate bathroom with a cool tiled shower. Downstairs has a small sitting area, a bar, and another room has the long dining room table. My wife and I were comfortable walking into the place and going in and out of our room to activities as we saw fit. We did encounter some of the other guests, but only briefly. There is a small ice machine, which we used while we were there. And there is a mini-fridge next to it that guests had put in some leftovers as there aren't fridges in the rooms (which is all fine because Tiffany handles some of the cooking for you!). My wife and I went outside to hang out for a while because we had been at the zoo during the day and it was 86 degrees -- which is hot for us Oregonians for the beginning of April. We brought swim wear as the first amenity listed on Netherly's site is the salt pool. Sadly, it was not heated and still appeared to have some small branches from the property in it. It hadn't been warm enough for long enough for it to be available. The hot tub adjacent to it didn't have water, but honestly, I didn't remember anything mentioned on the website about a hot tub, so it was not anything I was expecting anyway. We can and enjoyed the back yard for a little bit, but opted to go inside and take a shower to cool off and then head out for activities. The first morning I had paid extra to have food delivered to our room. It is a good thing I put on some pants when I opened the door because Tiffany walked in to set down the food on the table for us. I've been to a couple other B&Bs and it is usually left outside, but I figured I'd not answer in the nude and that was a good idea. We were told she enters to set things up to ensure we don't eat in the bed as it is a nightmare to clean up (and I believe it). We had chopped potatoes, some waffles, and a little bit of fruit. More than enough for my wife and I. The next day we ate at the large table downstairs. We ate with a couple from France that had come to view the eclipse. Tiffany was very pleasant and talkative during that time. I cannot specifically remember all of the food, but it included more chopped potatoes, some toast, and I cannot remember what else. It was good food, though, and more than enough for me to eat. Tiffany also gave us a dessert cornmeal kind of muffin that was pretty good as well. For my personal experience, I look to the front page of Nethery's page that touts "Southern Hospitality Hotel Accommodations with a Pool" that the next page says is open in spring. summer, and fall. I don't think the site even mentions a hot tub, so no worries on that. It may not have been warm enough for the pool to really work out so early in April, but we were looking forward to having a more private pool than one found at a large hotel. The home is beautiful and sitting outside to bask in the sun is nice. Getting in and out was easy and the room we had was awesome. If you pay to have breakfast in your room, make sure you are dressed. You get generous portions and the food is pretty good! But look -- the pool thing aside, which I wouldn't want anyone reading this to make too big of a deal about as it didn't ruin any plans and wasn't the primary reason for my choosing Nethery Estate, we had a great time. My wife was very pleased that Nethery Estate was where we spent our 2nd anniversary together. It is certainly it's own experience and Tiffany is a great host, so if you are considering staying here -- book it.

This cotton mill manufactured the largest amount of denim material in the world at one time. The lighting where they request you to set up the wedding party table is very dimly lit so you'll need to bring some sort of lighting. There isn't a ton of parking so make sure your guests carpool. You're required to use caterers off their list. I think the list had about 6-7 on it. The room they offer for weddings inside is a hallway. Literally a hallway. It's definitely not worth the $1,500 price tag they put on it. I would recommend using the outdoor space if you can. It's spacious and looks like a spot you'd have a wedding. It's perfect for an October wedding! The woman who showed us the venue spent maybe ten minutes with us. We felt a little rushed. But then again it was 7pm so maybe she was ready to go home. We never did get a follow up call or email from her. I didn't quite get that warm feeling from them. It felt very corporate. They book up pretty quick so you'll want to schedule your date here way in advance. Overall a cute place to have a wedding. Just make sure you hire someone to bring in lighting and you book your wedding not in peak season or you'll have to book two years out. Update: I received a message from the woman who did my tour. 1) She addressed me as Samantha. My name is Stefanie. Therefore she showed a lack of attention to detail 2) She stated she was in a hurry because she was showing 2 groups at the same time. During our tour she told us we were the last group and there was no one here so we were free to wander around wherever. We never saw a second group or couple looking around. 3) She was confused by my comment about lack of parking. Due to her lack of information and not telling us they apparently have a second parking lot, how were we to know there was additional parking elsewhere other than the one small lot we saw when we pulled in? 4) Regarding the head table. During our tour she told us that's where they put the head table. There was no comment about it being able to be elsewhere. She said that's where it will be set up for your event so it didn't even sound negotiable. My review still stands.
