I saw Bella Donna while on a bike ride thru the Adriatica private residential complex in McKinney, TX, along Virginia Pkwy, near 75 Central Xpwy. It was not open, so my review is a bit shallow. It was overcast & cool during my stop here. The lake is nice, no floating trash, residents are quiet & peaceful. There is 5 story parking structure near this chapel, and a large smooth cement pad to create a reception tent, etc. 2 different wedding photographers were here getting photos. read more

This is the most beautiful, intimate Chapel I've ever set eyes on, and not just because my husband and I chose it! Bella Donna is nestled in a quaint Adriatic Village. It sets on the lake, literally. There is cobblestone roads leading and winding down to the chapel entrance. The interior is astounding, its impossible to articulate the beauty you find within. From floor to ceiling, the bridal dressing room, the painted ceilings, etc. Etc.etc.... Thank you so very much for making my wedding the talk amongst my family and friends for months!!!! read more

What a beautiful chapel! Surrounded by water. Now I get the hype of the wedding destination here. Perfect to click some pictures and make beautiful memories. I had planned a photo shoot for my older son and was looking for a place. While looking I stumped upon on this location, I thought this one would be beautiful and decided to go here. The whole area looks European, the vibes are amazing. Even though we dint have access to get inside the chapel, we took some beautiful pictures outside. The place is scenic and feels you're in Europe for a sec! Heads up on the photography crowd, so just plan with ample of time if you're planning on photo shoots. They have a bunch of restaurants around if you plan to sit and enjoy the views. Or just bring your picnic scene here, just perfect. Or Even a walk around this place makes you super happy. read more

Unfortunately, what you wrote is untrue. Bottom line is we made the reservation and initial deposit before Covid hit. These are extenuating circumstances as no one could have predicted Covid. We called to cancel because of Covid because our family and friends are older and high risk of serious sickness or death if they were to get infected. We were comfortable with you keeping our deposit as you have a business to run. The administrator we talked to said nothing about putting it in writing and you only responded that it needed to be in writing AFTER you withdrew the balance from our bank account. You are on here writing paragraphs when the simple truth is you took our entire balance from our account, and are unwilling to refund us any of the money we paid you or respond to our ask to use our time in the future- you have just ignored us. read more

We had our wedding at Bella Donna Chapel in December and it was absolutely stunning. I first fell in love with this chapel when I saw it online a couple of years ago and instantly knew that it was where I wanted to be married. The staff is very professional, kind, quick at responding, and helpful. The entire process through the actual wedding day was very smooth. Adriatica Village feels like you're at a destination wedding in Italy. The chapel itself is absolutely stunning and created the perfect atmosphere for our wedding. Entering the chapel as a bride felt very intimate and calming and I could feel the love and joy from our guests. I would highly recommend having your wedding here! read more

I truely enjoyed the TFBC Women's Retreat. RENEW. RESTORE. REFRESH. It was a very spiritual and Refreshing experience inside the Bella Donna Chapel. It is so beautiful and the history of the details are so breath taking. The thought that went to designing this elegant building, like the buried bible under the floor where a groom and bride would stand before God and witnesses to say their vows, while standing on the Word of God is a blessing. I would love to visit Bella Donna Chapel again. Our attendant Debbie was sweet and so helpful. It felt like she was apart of our retreat. Beware. Do not plan your event here. This chapel which proclaims Christian values does not practice Christian ethics. They have taken full payment of $3650.00 for a wedding that never happened, no services rendered. Our contract specifically calls out a pandemic as a reasonable cause of cancellation. Our wedding planned in July of 2020, and moved to September 2020 never took place due to continued Covid concerns. They showed no compassion and no refund or even partial refund. I even asked if they would provide a charitable donation receipt but they refused that too. read more

Horrible place to have a wedding. They put the wrong name on the board outside so my guests didn't know if they were at the right wedding and the wedding planner passed out my flowers and didn't give flowers to one of my family members (supposed to get a bouquet). The brides family pays for the flowers not the lady working there and she shouldn't of taken it upon herself to pass out my flowers without consulting me. I came here for a dear friend's wedding. It is a picturesque chapel snuggled by the side of a lake. The Adriatica area is made to look like a quant Croatian Village. This is every brides dream for a fairy tale wedding. The seating inside is for about 100 people. The only downer is that there is not parking near by, so you have two options. #1 Park in the parking garage and walk over. #2 Park by The Sanctuary and take a trolley over to the Chapel. Both options take a little bit of a walk so be prepared. read more

I'm a professional photographer here in Dallas and have shot at just about every church, country club, hotel and wedding venue... and this is possibly the most beautiful chapel in DFW. In fact, I've chosen a wedding from this venue to be my 2013 highlight wedding album. Not only is the chapel awesome, but the brides room is great for photos, as is the rest of the property. This place definitely makes for a picture perfect wedding. Also, a lot of these wedding chapels are REALLY strict with timelines and rush brides in and out, but I didn't get that feeling from Bella Donna at all. read more

Coming from an actual bride at the Bella Donna Chapel I can say my money would have been better spent elsewhere. No business ethics when it comes to them messing up your wedding. Not even as much as an apology. Beautiful on the inside but a total mess with construction on the outside. It is an eyesore and a maze when it comes to driving into the village and parking. Even the limo driver had got confused. BTW- VERY STRICT on time slots. They will charge you $500 if your are 1 minute early or 1 min late! .. and THEY WILL inform you of this. read more

The staff, Mandi and Juli, were SO wonderful to work with. They made planning a wedding out of state, a piece of cake.
