The ambiance, the attentiveness, the service and the food were top tier! Our server, Eric gave us some amazing suggestions. The appetizers were both absolutely delicious. The entrees and starter bread were wonderful too! Even the cocktail he suggested was on point. The restaurant was large and inviting and quiet enough for easy table-talk. Managers stopped by and chatted with us about our visit which was another plus along with the warm hand towels between courses! UPDATE: I received a call today regarding our visit last night! WOW! My cousin ordered the Lobster Bisque, which I didn't get a picture of, but she said it was delicious. Next up were the Prime Meatballs with house steak sauce, and OMG! The meatballs were cooked to perfection, and that sauce was chef's kiss. It definitely complemented that warm house bread perfectly because, yes, I was dipping! For the main course, Blue Crab Stuffed Lobster Tails with parmesan mashed potatoes, asparagus, and lobster-sherry sauce. The entire plate was very pleasing, and the lobster tails were nice and meaty. I really enjoyed the crab stuffing paired with the lobster and sauce. Overall, this was a really good post-game Sunday meal. Great food, comforting flavors, and those meatballs and house bread were definitely standouts for me!

A Disappointing Experience at STK Dallas -- Not Worth the Hype…read more We discovered STK through TikTok and were drawn to its stylish atmosphere, thinking it would be the perfect place to celebrate three birthdays in one evening. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of our expectations. We understand that STK positions itself as an upscale dining establishment, and we came prepared for the higher price point. However, the level of service, food quality, and attention to detail did not reflect the premium experience we expected. Several aspects of the evening were particularly disappointing. Our server informed us that the salads were complimentary, only for them to appear on our final bill. The bread served with the chive sauce was stale, which was an underwhelming start to the meal. The attention to basic dining etiquette was also lacking. As a staff member cleared our table, my friend was still holding his fork and knife when the server took the utensils directly from his hand without asking. Fresh utensils were subsequently brought out and placed directly on the table rather than on a clean napkin or plate. For a restaurant marketed as upscale, these small but important details should not have been overlooked. We ordered the family-style shared platter, but the food arrived cold, and our medium-well steak was overcooked. Given the price point, we expected considerably better food preparation and quality. What made the experience even more disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment of our celebration. We had noted in our reservation that we were celebrating three birthdays, yet there was no acknowledgment from the restaurant, not even a simple birthday gesture. While complimentary desserts are certainly not something we feel entitled to, a little recognition would have gone a long way in making the evening feel special. Throughout the meal, our server was also noticeably inattentive, leaving us feeling overlooked. Overall, the experience lacked the quality, professionalism, and hospitality one would reasonably expect from an upscale restaurant. A premium price should come with premium service, attention to detail, and food prepared to a high standard. Unfortunately, STK did not deliver on any of these expectations during our visit. This was our first visit, and it will most certainly be our last. Based on our experience, I would not recommend STK Dallas for a special occasion or celebration.

While some aspects of the experience haven't aged particularly well, it was a lot of fun sharing it with my kids, who enjoyed the atmosphere just as much as I did when I was younger. The service was friendly and efficient, although it felt a bit scripted. The staff clearly follows a well-established routine, but they kept everything moving smoothly and made us feel welcome. The food is about what you'd expect from a large casual chain restaurant. I'd compare it to Chili's or Applebee's in terms of quality, but at a noticeably higher price. That's not really why you come here, though. The food is perfectly acceptable, but the themed dining experience is the main attraction. If you're looking for an unforgettable culinary experience, this probably isn't the place. But if you have kids or you're feeling nostalgic and want to relive a classic family attraction, Rainforest Cafe is still worth a visit. You're paying for the atmosphere as much as the meal, and for that, it continues to deliver a unique experience.

The prices are extremely high for what you receive, and unfortunately, the food didn't justify the cost. I was hoping the fun atmosphere and overall experience would make up for the food, but it just didn't. Service was good and birthday song was sang for my girl. If you're thinking about going, I'd say it's worth taking the young kids once for the experience, but be prepared for the prices!

The race cars are really the main attraction here and the entire place revolves around the racing. You cannot make a reservation. It's a first come, first serve situation. There are four racing categories (see below), so if you come with a group of mixed ages or heights you may not all be able to race together (I've witnessed this shock when birthday parties assume they can race together). The Intermediate and Junior Races are slower than you'd assume. I could jog faster, but the WORST part is the speed. They go so slow and are controlled so it's nearly impossible to pass another racer or actually RACE! The Mini Mario has some speed and speed is adjusted based on the general age of the racers in the heat. The cost is $29 down to $15, which doesn't sound horrible, but after waiting for a long time for your group to be called and then racing for 1min to 7 minutes, the cost is really high! High enough you're not likely to get in line and do it again. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ugh. There are kiosks and a giant line with actual people at a counter. Don't be mistaken YOU MUST go to the kiosk FIRST and fill out waivers, although there are no signs anywhere telling you that. We've filled out waivers on line before arriving, only to find ourselves at the front of the line and told "we can't find it, now to to the kiosks and get back in line". It's awful. The employees don't seem to like their jobs, or likely are sick of people being upset at them for the HORRIBLE process management has set up. We've never been able to find someone on the floor to help us when a video game eats our money or doesn't work either. The guys in the race area are hit or miss. Sometimes they're patient and kind. Other times they mumble and seem pissed off to be there. GAMES: The video games are the same as other places around town, but after driving all the way out here, searching for parking and then racing for 5 minutes we've always felt like we need to play a few games to make the trip worth it. FOOD: We've never eaten here, but it's basic bar food (hamburger, hot dogs, nachos, etc) and the cost is high for such basic food. We'd rather pay the same amount for better food options in the area. All that to say, expect to spend $$$ to come race, eat and play at Andrettis. Make sure your group has checked the height & age requirements to make sure you can race together. And finally, come with a lot of patience. ----- Race Categories ----- ADULT RACE 7- Minute Heat. Adult Races are for drivers at least 54" Tall and either 18+ yrs old or 15+ yrs old with State Issued Driver's License or Permit. Max Weight: 300 lbs. INTERMEDIATE RACE: 7- Minute Heat. General admission is pretty reasonable--usually around $6 to $8 depending on the day and time you go. The place is absolutely massive!! I had no idea that it was so big!! Not only is there a whole dedicated dance floor but tons of pool tables, arcade games, and even a full indoor rodeo arena for live bull riding! I was misled and thought there was a mechanical bull.. there is not unfortunately but there is like a fake bull you can pay and take photos with. We happened to walk in right in the middle of a line-dancing class, which was super fun to watch! It's pretty amazing how quickly the dancers, both men and women, picked up the steps and choreography. They were all super good! Afterwards, it transitioned into open floor dancing, which was equally entertaining in my opinion! As a first-timer, it was a total blast and it's easy to see why it's such an iconic tourist destination. We didn't end up eating here since we had just grabbed dinner at Cattlemen's nearby, but the BBQ and other food options here didn't look super appetizing. Still, for drinks, dancing, and authentic Texas atmosphere, it's a must-visit when you're in the Stockyards!
