Day-of Coordinators and Staff: Thank you so much for Raven and Carlena for making my day as special and wonderful as possible. We got married on May 26, 2024. Raven made sure that my husband and I were taken care of and felt cared for the entire day. Raven also made sure that all the small things got taken care of! She cut up strawberries, and she even made a small little sign for my Cereal Bar. I absolutely was blown away with her professionalism and knowledge of wedding planning. Food: my guests loved the catered BBQ meal and all of the sides! I did not get to try much of it since I was running on adrenaline, but I heard rave reviews. Venue: Absolutely perfect for our needs. Just be aware that the only two bathrooms are right by the bridal suite. It might be wise to tell folks traveling in to stop and use the restroom before they get there right before the ceremony. I was on a budget and they had everything I was looking for. They provided open bar service, delicious food and appetizers, a coordinator the day of, bridal and groom suites, and a DJ. And that was the basic package! You can add on as much as you need. I was so glad I didn't have to look for so many different vendors. Jordan was great and super helpful, replied to my emails quick and answered all my questions. Sarah showed me the venue a second time when my mom was in town. And she gave the tour with the same friendliness and energy as the first time. DJ Kendra was great, she even played a Karoke version of a song that my dad requested on the spot. I was a little nervous about the music because we are Hispanic but she did great! They let me add an hour of party and were very accommodating with us. Pretty venue, good food, poor communication. We got married 08.06.2021. We honestly booked the Hurst location because they were giving a good discount back in February and we were on a tight budget. Overall the venue was very beautiful and food was good. However, if you book this venue I HIGHLY recommend hiring a day-off coordinator outside of the venue. We saw our coordinator very little day of and we're grateful that we hired WTL Photography, because Winston and his team were more for us than anyone. We are not leave bad review people, we had a good time because we were laid back about the day, but there was definitely added stress because of poor communication, bad attitudes day of from our coordinator and hidden pines staff, and ridiculous fees and rules related to this venue. Again, my advice is to keep a record of all conversations with this venue and hire all outside vendors. read more

My wife and I had high hopes and were met with below standard customer service. - Miscommunication from the very beginning, dates were changed multiple times. - Two coordinators resigned and left the company (on their on accord, not because of my wife and I) so that left management scrambling. - Our rehearsal date was changed due to miscommunication by their previous employees. - Management tried, but failed. Two days before our wedding they tried to change our timeline and sent the wrong information to our DJ and photographer. They also never contacted the bakery. I had to coordinate the cake on our wedding day an hour before the ceremony. - The GM Tatiana never reached out after that issue and wasn't even at the venue the day of to ensure things would run smoothly. They did not run smoothly go figure! - Although we were given some perks for the whole mess, we did not appreciate the drama of it all. It was stressful on my wife and I. Even though they did not expect their employees to leave, they could have done better. Tatiana could have done better. - The only win was the 2 coordinators the day of our wedding, Whitney and Miranda. They did an amazing job making sure my wife was happy. During the reception Miranda was waiting on my wife constantly, making sure she had the best night ever! Those girls are keepers, I hope Hidden Pines-Hurst takes care of them. At the end of it all, our guest had a great time and my wife was happy. We could have just done without the drama, and would have appreciated more communication and commitment from Hidden Pines and the mgmt. While my fiancé and I ultimately chose a different venue due to having a larger guest list than we had initially planned, I really enjoyed my visit to Northeast Wedding Chapel! The chapel itself is lovely, and the neutral colors mean any color scheme will look nice and not clash. The dressing rooms are nice, and the bridal suite has a cool feature, a TV where you can watch your guests arriving in the foyer. The small courtyard is well maintained and the plants very nice. I like the reception hall, but 175 people would be hard to fit in with a dance floor. The prices here are reasonable, especially compared to some of the inflated rates around here. The ladies who toured me were lovely, and I will recommend this venue to friends getting married in the area! read more

Went to wedding on Sept. 17 2016, had the reception there after. Everyone was in good spirits and enjoying the venue. Until it was time to enjoy the music and dance. The DJ's music would not play due to the Venues equipment for him, so the wedding party and guest were left to sing out loud for music. It was not the DJ's responsibility for the venues speakers , ETC. The Bride and Groom requested a refund, but the Northeast Chapel are refusing to corporate with them I would look into other venues if you are planning your perfect day unless you want your guest to sing for your wedding. read more

We booked our wedding here and paid for it. Three months before the date something with our family came up that made us have to change the date and they refused our request to change the date. They kept our money, $4k and would not work with us. They said they didnt think they could rebook the date. It was a Late June weekend! Beware!! read more

I had my wedding here back in November. It was beautiful. All of the girls that work here are really sweet and very helpful. The venue isn't huge but it is a good size, we had about 90 show up and it was comfortable. We still had room to dance and stuff. The venue is new and clean and has all of the ammenities that we needed. They also let us bring our own beer (keg or cans) and wine which was great for our budget. read more

I have not booked an event here, but I took a tour with Haylie and she was the absolute best. She was by FAR the most helpful venue director we've met yet, she was able to give us a tour early, she asked questions about my fiance and I, and she gave us SO much information! She was also able to send us the 2 proposals we had requested before we were able to finish the drive home! She also took my breath away with a visualization of a walk down the isle. I was part of a wedding here a few weeks ago and the service was unacceptable! Becca was the coordinator and she sat in the office for most of the wedding when there were obvious issues that needed to be handled. I had to tell her to get someone to clean off the tables after dinner. Then their sound system overheated and no one could hear the music. At a wedding reception! No one could dance. Again I had to ask her to come out to take a look. As she fiddled with it she said she had no idea what to do because that had never happened before. Then she went back in her office as if it wasn't her problem. Needless to say there was a very disappointed bride and groom who shouldn't have had to deal with all of that on their day. It wasn't professionally handled at all. Do not consider this venue if you want to have a nice and stress free wedding! read more

This is a great place for a wedding! The chapel and the reception hall are separated by a small courtyard. We have been guests at a wedding there, as well as photographers at another wedding there. The natural light is great and the reception hall is spacious. read more

I attended a friend's wedding there and I have to say that it was pretty nice. Much bigger inside than what you see from the road. The chapel was very clean and serene. As for the reception area, it was very clean as well as very spacious for the wedding party. All around a good facility for a wedding. read more

Run...do not walk away from this place. Recently attended a wedding there. There is NO staff that will help you- so if you're wanting assistance, bring/pay for your own. The one girl that was there locked all the exits during the wedding and some late guests could not get in...can you say firecode violations?!?!? Also, floors are slick and there was water on the walkway from chapel to reception. The bride's grandmother almost slipped and fell...again, no one to take care of that. My observation of the one staffer was that she was un-informed and clueless...not to mention rude. The candles didn't even get lighted for the ceremony! No clue what this place costs, but there have to be better options. read more

I can't tell you how many venues/wedding locations I looked at, practically every one of them in the DFW area! Weighing the pros and cons of each trying to find that "perfect" spot for my special day. I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on my wedding and therefore was looking for something simple yet elegant and would wow guests the moment they walked in. I can't brag enough about how the Northeast Wedding Chapel not only met but exceeded my every expectation. From the moment I contacted them I received outstanding customer service. Practically every time I called I was actually talking to someone and NOT a machine. For the few messages I did leave my calls were ALWAYS returned and usually within an hour or two depending on the time of day. The "staff" (especially Courtney) was always so kind and helpful. Once I made it over to physically see the venue I KNEW it was the one for me. Beautiful tall ceilings with chandeliers and stained concrete floors I was in awe. Didn't not need flowers or anything of the sort the chapel was stunning on its own! Another wonderful feature about the venue was the reception hall only being a few steps away! In my mind this was a huge bonus because it allowed for the following: 1) More time for my reception 2) Less of a headache for my guests (especially those from out of town and not familiar with the area) 3) Not having to worry with "Did I leave anything at the chapel?" The short walk over to the reception is magical it is beautifully landscaped with 2 water fountains and a pergola! Made for AMAZING pictures to be honest! The reception hall is absolutely gorgeous and comes with complimentary simple centerpieces which was yet again another bonus for me. It has a beautiful fireplace and should you decide to share your special day with them the staff will customize every detail of your reception. I highly recommend Northeast Wedding Chapel and hope any bride reading this will at least stop by, I promise you won't be disappointed!! read more

Everything was great until the day it really counted. The day of coordinator, Becca was horrible. She was rude and very abrasive. She even assisted my young daughter. These people pretend to be professional, bur on the day of the wedding they only want to rush and cause your day to be horrible. Becca, the person who was supposedly a professional insulted my mother and entire party. She did not help to calm the situation she only made it worse. She does not know how to talk to people with respect. She is what I would describe and evil. She has no respect for paying clients and I would suggest everyone that even considers this venue to keep in MJ d they will not give you enough time for your designer to arrange or clean up. When it all boils down to it they o oh want your money and will disrespect you to the fullest on the day of your event. read more

My daughter fell on some stairs and fractured her foot a couple of months before the wedding. Northeast Chapel would not work with us changing the dates without us fully paying 100% again. Then they wanted her to sign a release so they could re-book the day and get double money for the same day. We refused to sign and went to the chapel that day anyway to make sure is was not re-booked. The reception room was disgusting. The floor had been moped with dirty water and was sticky all over. There was food crumbs outside and inside the chapel. There were no paper towels in the Men's rest room, The yard needed mowing and trash was on the sidewalk. I asked the lady, if we would have had the wedding that day would everything look like this and she said YES. It is ready ! My daughter and us agreed, this is not the place we want for a wedding. Our photographer, caterer, flower person, ect... all worked with us changing dates, except Northeast Chapel. They will tell you before you sign the agreement that they will work with you. But once you have signed, they tell you a different story. read more

I first visited this place last summer 2014. They were very friendly and helpful. Once my husband and I decided to book them, we were quoted a different price. I spoke with the manager and let her know so she dropped the price and threw in uplighting for free. My mother and I went by there several times before the wedding and noticed that they were not as friendly. On one of the visits I noticed that the landscaping was completely different from when I first saw it. Everything needed to be cut down lower. There is a beautiful fountain but you could not see it with the wild plants growing everywhere. Very unattractive. It seems as though once my husband and I signed on the dotted line, their friendly proffesional demeanor went out of the window. A few days before the wedding, my coordinator called me to go over last minute details. In the middle of our meeting she just started giggled and would not stop. I was at work so I just hung up. At that point I should have requested a different coordinator but I didnt. The day of rehearsal, my maid of honor completely took over and did a great job. I felt as though the coordinator could have just stayed in her office. My family helped my mother decorate the venue the day of. They were there before the doors were even open. Apparently, there was a back door that everything could have been brought through. Of course the coordinator failed to inform us so my family had to walk all the way around the reception hall to bring stuff in. They did not have time to put the emtpy boxes back in the moving truck so they were dumped in the corner between the reception hall and chapel. The back door would have saved them time. Then they provided us with less pew clips than they originally told us they had. My father was sent to buy more but recieved horrible directions from the coordinator and ended up lost. Therefore, my wedding started late. Instead of the coordinator offering assistance she just sat in her office most of the time. When she did come out it was to say "oh thats pretty" and walk back to her office. I understand the decorating aspect is not her job but good employees go above and beyond. Not once did we get a "Hey we dont have this but let me look in our storage and what I can find." I do things at work all the time that are not in my job description because I dont mind helping people out. My mother would send my cousin to coordinators office to get pins, clips, whatever. Instead of her getting up from her desk and speaking to my mother about what they had or did not have, she just kept sending my cousin back. NOT HELPFUL! Even my photographer, who I just met, made the comment that she noticed our coordinator was "MIA" most of the time. My mother and Aunts did not know her name because she never even bothered to introduce herself to them. My best friend got married three weeks later and the difference between coordinators was insane. My husband and I were not able to take pictures with our family in the chapel because the coordinator kept bothering and rushing people to clean out the dressing rooms. I feel like she could have let us take our pictures and then they could have taken their stuff to the car. My mother almost missed our entrance into the reception because of it. I understand they have time frames in which things were supposed to be done but 10/15minutes would not have made much of a difference for her in terms of locking the rooms up. Once the reception started we noticed that we did not have our uplighting which was promised right before we signed the contract. Instead of correcting it or simply dimming the lights, the coordinator told my maid of honor that it wasnt in the contract and not to tell me so i dont get upset. I was already irritated by this point. Some guest said they would have danced if the room was dimmer. Two months later and I am still bothered by this venues actions or lack thereof. Your wedding day is supposed to be your special day to remember forever. I expected for things to go wrong and not be perfect BUT not because of the venue. It is a horrible feeling when things go wrong because your venue was not on top of their game. This place is beautiful but definitely not worth the money, time, and heartache. read more

I was planning my wedding from out of state, and the staff at Northeast Wedding Chapel in Hurst Texas were extremely helpful! Anytime I emailed a question, I received a response almost immediately-and they were always extremely prompt in returning phone messages too! I stopped by the wedding venue several times to look at the facility during the planning process, and I always felt welcome to stop in, which was nice. My only complaint would be that I struggled sometimes to figure out how much I should ask of my Coordinator-I am very organized and slightly OCD, and my desire to finalize everything months in advance didn't seem to be congruent to the timeline they keep at NEWC. I received comments like "Sure we can do that", etc. when I was looking for a concrete plan and records that I wanted something for my wedding. Once we hit the 30 days-out mark, though, and had our final meeting, the coordinator was ready to put it all down on paper. I would have liked to be able to do that a bit more on my own time-but I understand the need for some structure. It just made me feel like I had to keep track of everything we had discussed, so it wouldn't be forgotten. The day before the event, I realized I had neglected to figure out an important detail, and my coordinator went above and beyond, even contacting a local merchant, to help me find what I needed. The rehearsal and wedding went extremely well, and the event was beautiful-exactly what I wanted. Overall, I was extremely pleased! read more

The Northeast Wedding Chapel is a gorgeous venue. I found their response time to emails and communications was great. Ashleigh was fabulous! I loved her vibe and energy. She was extremely calm and she knew when to nudge us along and when to give us breathing room. Of course, I had 3 event coordinators on my own that day, so I hope that made her job a little easier. My only regret and quite possibly, the only thing that I would change about my wedding was the timeframe. Most venues give you two hours prior to the ceremony to enter the venue and NEWC gives 1.5 hours. We choose the day wedding on Saturday. For a wedding of 100, I would not recommend the morning just because there just wasn't enough time. We paid for an extra hour to enter at 9 am instead of 10 am for the 11:30 am ceremony. That one hour with tax and service charge was $450. I was a little irked just because it was setup time and early photos but alas, it was what it was. Our service ran from 11:40-12:10, with pictures from 12:10p-12:50. We entered the reception at 1 pm and literally had to exit at 2:30 as our end time was 3pm according to their contract. We had to leave time for the bridal party and coordinators to clean-up. I will forever be heartbroken that I was in my reception for 1.5 hours and only made it halfway around the room to see our guests. Many, I didn't see until we made our exit. This again, isn't necessarily a fault of the venues as the timeframes were given up front. Of course, hindsight is 20/20 and I should have done the evening package or had a morning wedding on a day when there was no evening wedding so I could have bought an hour at the end of the contract.
