    Complimentary drinks at check in.
    Madison R.

We stayed one night here while going to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. It was okay, not as great as I expected from the website and pictures. Their main priority and focus seems to be the restaurant and the "hotel" is a side business. The lady who checked us in, Lily, was great when we found her at the bar - the emails did not explain where to check - and she explained to us that it is more of an Airbnb feel as there will not be staff on site unless the restaurant is open. After we checked in, we each got a complimentary drink and Lily lead us to our shipping container room. We also got a complimentary Aperol Spritzer package in our room, which was cute. Hotel Otto is very cute, but the upkeep is not great for how cute it is... for example, the container we stayed in had scratches or stains on basically all of the walls and if they cleaned them and didn't have as much stuff in there, it would give the inside the same feel as how cute the outside is. I feel this shows the care and attention is lacking which is sad for how cool this could be. We also noticed that the plug to the reading light was broken and just had wires hanging out behind the bed. The mattress topper was so soft you just sink into the bed or roll into your significant other, same with the pillows. The heater took us a minute to figure out and then took forever to warm up the room (we stayed in early February). The shade on the front window was broken and we could not raise or lower them all the way so when we laid down to sleep, we had a sliver of light from the string lights outside that stay on all night and with the wind, they just sparkled like stars ALL NIGHT! We could never get the internet to work with the passwords provided and the TV didn't work. All in all, the inside was cute but not kept up by the staff in a way we believe a hotel or Airbnb should be. If all you are looking for is aesthetics and instagram pictures, then this is very cute with the roof top hang out and the fact you are staying in a shipping container but if you are looking for a nice, relaxing or romantic night, I would suggest somewhere else.

Do NOT stay at the hotel. Air conditioner does not cool the room no matter how many hours you leave it running, spider in room, bathroom floor filthy, grounds around room not maintained, cob webs, etc. Pool area swarming with wasps, you'll spend your "leisurely" time swatting them away. The parking lot is disgusting, we should have turned around and left before we ever checked in TBH! Hotel is in less than desirable location, LOCK-UP everything if you know what I mean!!! Hotel staff does not care about your experience, has not returned one call or email I sent them before posting this! I would NEVER recommend this filthy place to anyone!!!

We decided to meet family in town from Chicago and needed a place to stay. I booked 3 days in advance and was able to pick my room. I read reviews and browsed picture prior to arriving to the property so I knew what to expect for the room. What I didn't know..... While booking I let Hotel Otto know we would arrive around 8. We live just north of Houston and I had already planned to host a market & Easter event that same day until 3pm. We arrive at Hotel Otto/ Gemelle. There wasn't any parking available besides the 1 ADA spot and 15 minute check in parking. I took the check in parking. We walked around the front trying to figure out where to check into the hotel. The front door of Gemelle had a sign blocking the doors so we walked to the patio where the hostess greeted us. She directed us to the bar area for check in. We reach the bar area and we're greeted by two ladies. Both very nice. We arrived a little after 7, and I let them know I had made reservations at Gemelle for 8 (this was the latest Open table allowed). We arrived sweaty, sun burned and in the clothes we had been in all day for an outside event. We were given a tour of the property, told we get welcome drinks as well as there being ingredients in the room for Aperoll Spritz. She (I did not catch her name) asked if we needed anything else. I mentioned we wanted to do a fire so she grabbed a starter log and lighter and brought back to us. She also called me a few moments later and told us not to rush for reservations she moved them back. I was so thankful I was dying for a shower and to change. The rooms are cute, they are smaller than the average hotel room but they pack in all the amenities. It's a container so go in with the right expectations and you'll have a great time! The roof top deck is such a nice touch with the fire pit. We made it to Gemelle around 8:30 and what an experience we had! It was awesome! We over ordered and took a lot to go! The food was absolutely delicious and we hadn't eaten all day so we got a bit of everything to try. For my welcome drink I chose Season of the Witch YUMMM! My husband chose Roma I believe it was, he must have really enjoyed it because he ordered 3. We also ordered the Saturday special, margarita pizza, crispy chicken Alfredo, Cesar salad and garlic parmesan bread sticks. We took their gelato to go, so we could sit by the fire to eat. The hospitality was unmatched! Everyone was so nice! We will be back for sure! Next time we want to enjoy the pool and sun deck!

This is a very unique hotel. We stayed for 3 nights over new years eve weekend 2024. The staff is very nice and we had appetizers from the restaurant which were delicious. However the pillow toppers are way too soft for all of us. (we had 3 rooms) we took them off and stored under the bed. For being there for 3 days they should replenish the coffee pods daily as well as the ice if they want you to drink the liquor they provide and sodas etc. We enjoyed the complimentary Aperol Spritz poolside. It's a bit of gymnastics to get over your significant other to go to the restroom as the bed is against the wall. The rooftop was fun to sit in the sun and then watch fireworks on new years eve.

Highly recommend for couples. Quite small relaxing and very private. Loved the complimentary drinks at check in & upper deck. 10/10 the pool area could've been a little neater but it was still enjoyable

From the moment we stepped in the door, the hotel and restaurant enchants you with exceptional service. From te complimentary cocktail upon arrival to your own personal attendant to take you for the property tour and to your private bungalow. My husband and I were celebrating our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary. Upon my request, the room was decorated with assorted colored rose petals and our champagne for two! Along with this, the complimentary Aperol Spritz fixings makes it extra special with the recipe to make the perfect drink. The bed was extremely comfortable and felt luxurious. Perfect pleasure to sit up on the rooftop balcony over looking white twinkle lights. By day at the pool and poolside bar, was perfect. The service truly exceptional. The experience was more than we could have ever asked for and I want to personally thank the management staff that was at the hotel on 6/11/22. You were phenomenal and left us with a wonderful memory that will last a lifetime. I look forward to coming back for another pleasurable stay.

Except they're greedy and want to screw people who have to go to the hospital or business nearby. The hotel: it's pretty clean. Parking isn't a big deal but they have a parking garage adjacent to the hotel. It said parking was free on the 3rd and 4th floor but I didn't get a chance to see if that was true. I sadly have the blue placard of hurt. So yeah, they even charge for handicapped spaces. Legal? Don't know honestly. Ethical? No freaking way. My room was clean. Nice and pretty consistent for a garden inn. Allowed you to control the fan speed and make it constant. Which was a nice surprise. The gym was the shocker. They had one ty of equipment to get in a quick workout. Not typical for Hiltons. But I'll take it. Would I stay here again? Hell. No. 15 bucks for parking without any warning. Just a surprise bill charge. I travel a lot and i'd rather stay at a Marriott property that doesn't take blatant advantage of people going to the nearby hospital. But here are some photos anyway.

The rooms were western themed, with cowboy centric art pieces, which I thought was a nice touch. The rooms also had nice amenities (mini fridge, water, coffee, etc.) which is always great. The hotel itself is beautiful and has that big, upscale Texas hotel feel. The lobby is impressive, and the bar setup is especially nice, a great spot to grab a drink and hang out in the evening. It feels lively, but never overwhelming. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Service was solid throughout the stay, not over the top, but consistently friendly and helpful. Only reason for four stars is the sheer size of the place. Be ready to walk, because getting from the parking garage to the lobby, and then from the lobby to the rooms, can feel like a bit of a trek, especially with luggage after a long game day. They had us sit in the lobby of the hotel for a few minutes while they finished setting up the tables, which was a little odd. Eventually, we were all called up by individual parties and seated. There was only one server, so things moved very slowly, although she was hustling as much as she could. The food was hit or miss, but I did appreciate that they could accommodate with vegetarian options, even if they weren't all particularly excellent. You are served one small pot of tea each and expected to make that last through the entire event. I thought this was especially stingy and was very disappointed that they did not refill your pot. The ambience was also just okay. We were all kept in close quarters, which meant that the loud party next to us was pretty disruptive. I wish that they had spaced out all out a little more to give everyone some room. Overall, I think the price is too high for the quality of the experience. As someone who has done high tea across the globe, the Ashton's ranks pretty low on my list. For the cost per person, I was expecting a little more of a luxe experience.

I booked my stay at the Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth through the American Express Fine Hotels +…read moreResorts program and had very high expectations. Unfortunately, while the property itself is beautiful, my overall experience was deeply disappointing. Check-in started on a positive note. I was greeted with a glass of champagne and the front desk staff were warm and welcoming. However, things quickly went downhill from there. I was never provided a welcome letter outlining my Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits or basic hotel information. I didn't realize this until I reached my room and wanted to use some of the amenities. When I returned to the front desk to request one, I was told none were available and was directed to scan a QR code instead. The QR code only linked to the in-room dining menu and restaurant reservation pages, which was not a substitute for the information typically provided with an FHR stay. Upon arrival at my room, the staff member assisting with my luggage repeatedly called me by the wrong last name and made multiple comments about my ethnicity, including saying my name sounded Indian but that I "didn't look Indian," followed by personal questions about my background. While I believe the intent may have been friendly, it felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. The room and property are undeniably stunning, but several functional issues made the stay frustrating. All of the lights, including those in both bathrooms, appeared to be controlled by motion sensors or timers that could not be adjusted. While getting ready, the lights repeatedly turned off, forcing me to stop styling my hair and walk around the room just to trigger the sensors. This became extremely disruptive and inconvenient. Additionally, the main desk in the living room, which was the primary power source in the suite, did not work at all. After attempting to troubleshoot myself, it appeared to be broken entirely. Because this was one of the only areas with multiple outlets, I had to charge devices in random locations throughout the room. Communication with the hotel was also extremely difficult. The in-room phone repeatedly lost connectivity and died while I was attempting to place orders. I texted the hotel to report the issue, yet staff continued trying to call the malfunctioning room phone instead of my cell phone, despite me explaining the situation multiple times. Calling the hotel directly from my mobile phone often resulted in busy signals. The most frustrating part occurred after checkout. I was incorrectly charged nearly the full nightly rate despite having prepaid through American Express. When I called to resolve this, I was placed on hold for nearly 35 minutes after being told it would be brief, and no apology was offered. Although I was told the charge would be reimbursed, the refund was incomplete because my American Express breakfast and amenity credits were not properly applied. I had to call again to request an additional correction. Across their website form and multiple phone calls, I was never initially provided a folio detailing my charges. It wasn't until the third call that I spoke with Sarah, who was exceptionally helpful. She went out of her way to email me a PDF folio and personally coordinate the remaining reimbursement. She was the only team member who truly resolved the situation, and I greatly appreciated her professionalism. This was my first visit to Texas, which I noted in my reservation, and I had hoped for recommendations or guidance from the hotel, especially given the Fine Hotels + Resorts experience, but none were offered. It's genuinely disappointing because the Crescent is a beautiful property with so much potential. However, between the service issues, operational problems, billing errors, and lack of follow-through, this was easily my worst Fine Hotels + Resorts experience to date. Considering the price point and expectations associated with this program, the experience ultimately felt frustrating and not reflective of luxury hospitality standards. I truly wish I could have loved this stay.
