We loved our stay at the Hotel Dryce !! We were attending an event at Dickies Arena, it was super convenient and only a couple of minutes walk there. The room was small but very comfortable, and the decor was a really cool rustic vibe. The staff was great, the reception and checkout folks were very friendly and accommodating, it felt like we were guests at a friend's house !! And the bar was AMAZING. Foster was the bartender, and he is a rock star. His craft drinks were beautiful and delicious, and his knowledge of different liquors was impressive. I had an amazing gin and tonic, and we had a great discussion about our favorite gins. Will definitely come back. read more

I can only post on the patio in the bar area. I came to get some food from the Soca truck outside, which only comes on occasion. What I can say is the patio looks like it would be a lot of fun. Must've been a redone space because the floor looks old but the building looks new. Plenty of places to sit and heaters and a fire pit. I hear lots of laughter and people having a good time. Looks like there's mixologist in there not just bartenders. I will come back for a drink sometime. read more

The hotel's location is amazing if you are attending anything at Dickie's arena. The standard room is very small--think Scandi style. Our room was really clean and worked for what we needed. The lobby bar, patio, and library are really lovely. Great places to gather. The staff is very laid back. Two drawbacks from the experience--After the show it was really tough to get drinks in the lobby bar. The staff was totally overwhelmed. It would have been helpful to have a guests-only line and have everything charged to rooms to speed up the process. The other thing to be prepared for is that it is LOUD. There are earplugs provided in the room (but only one set for two people). Our room overlooked the patio and we could clearly hear conversation and the music. Also, the air conditioner in the room was loud, the mini fridge was loud, we could even hear the folks next door snoring. (Not kidding.) We were exhausted so it wasn't a terrible bother for us. Overall, it was a good stay and we would book again if coming to a show. read more

Recently I'm into hotel lobby hopping. I work from home and spend a lot of time on my laptop -- sometimes I need a new and inspiring atmosphere. Who doesn't? Lucky for me I'm able to work anywhere and was excited to spend some time at Hotel Dryce for a little ambiance, a little work, and a little cocktail. This is a pretty new hotel over by Dickies Arena in the cultural district, so the location is fantastic, close to several incredible museums and restaurants. The building is very modern looking from the outside, and inside it's like.... industrial-western. Think concrete floors, high ceilings, lots of natural light, and modern decor and furniture in western patterns and colors. It's casual but chic, colorful but not busy, modern but nostalgic. The lobby has a fantastic little bar with local beer, wine, and a craft cocktail list. Friendly bartenders. They host events relatively often featuring local DJs, and rumor has it there's a "silent book club" where you're encouraged to hang out and read, and you don't even have to talk to anyone else... Haha, that's my kind of book club! I'm excited to pop back in sometime for a drink and music. read more

Hotel Dryce is a new hotel and bar in Fort Worth that in January, was touted by Forbes Magazine as one of the year's "most highly anticipated hotel openings" in the world. We didn't see the hotel rooms. This review is for the bar. The hotel is situated on Montgomery across from the Will Rogers parking garage. Parking suxxxx unless you're staying at the hotel. I drove four blocks from Montgomery into the neighborhoods and every street was marked "permit only". Can't blame residents as I'm sure every event would fill these streets with cars otherwise. But the hotel parking is adequate for hotel guests only, not bar patrons. The building, bar, and outdoor patio are chic-ish without being revelatory. We were there with a group that provided a free drink token for all 50 attendees or so. This resulted in a slow line at the bar. Self service ice water is available, which I appreciated. We tried the Coco Mondo and Refresh + Repeat. The Coco was good but not standout. R+R was eh. The staff was great, though the bar was overloaded. In the patio area is a fire pit with dry ice (Dryce=Dry Ice, get it?) which was cool to watch for a while. So overall, a cool new spot in Fort Worrh to try with warning about the parking and a drink menu to explore. Not sure why Forbes made the bold claims it did, but barely four stars from me. read more

At 3:00 PM a girl comes in and turns up the music. It's constant bumping, annoying jarring your room. $700 plus for two nights and the worse hotel experience!! The guy who checked us in and helped us with towels, he's super! But No! It's ridiculous!! Constant Bumping music in your hotel room is a nightmare!! I wouldn't stay here for free! If I could get my money Back and go somewhere else I would!!! Addendum: The morning guy said he'd ask the girl to turn down the music. So the 2nd night was better. I appreciate that, So I'm adding some stars, Because It's a keeper other than the bumping music all the time after 3:00. So just ask them to please turn it down or if you're there to drink & stay up late it wouldn't be a problem.. read more

I want to like this place, I really do, but with the exception of my first visit I can't say it's the most welcoming place. The bar is cozy, but there's abundant outdoor space. The bartenders historically haven't been welcoming, providing selective service, the drinks a bit pricey, but it's alcohol so expected, and the crowd a bit pretentious. It's almost like the regulars and the staff have a secret club you're not invited to. I don't want to give a poor rating since my first visit was decent and I was able to meet Jonathan there, and he himself was so kind and inviting, so maybe the 4th time is the charm? Attended an event here and with beautiful weather the space was perfect. The lobby is anchored by a handsome bar and comfortable seating almost like someone's living room. The patios with ample seating surround the lobby space and are formed from the original historic building - a dry ice house. The staff was friendly and hospitable. A second bar was set up on the patio to help manage the crowd. Good food was provided by a food truck in the drive way since the hotel has great cocktails but no kitchen. The location is set in a neighborhood, very close to Dickie's Arena and the Cultural District's museums. Parking was very easy. It would be a fun place to stay. read more

Issa vibe! A chill relaxed atmosphere with a lot of thought, charm, and charisma. I stayed here for my birthday because I wanted to relax and it was the perfect place. I was able to work in the lobby while enjoying a curated playlist (Hotel Dryce on Spotify). I enjoyed a few cocktails - the Dryce Marg is tasty and I had some bacon and cheese tator tots from Gusto's, the food truck. The room was simple yet thoughtful (comes with a robe and ear plugs) with a huge shower. Their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smell amazing. I'm not 100% but I want to say the blanket was scented also. It's a small boutique hotel that's excellent for hanging out, working, and socializing. And to top it off, Rabbit, a fluffy Frenchie greeted me at check in. read more

Long overdue review, but this place was much better than I'd hoped when I stayed here for The Lone Star Film Festival. I'd give 10 stars for the front desk staff if I could. Every one of them was awesome! The Dryce is very fresh and hip in a smart way. It's not a cozy place, as it was an industrial bldg originally, but I found it quite comfortable and relaxing. The lobby area is also the bar. It was a great place for the opening night party for the Festival, as it spills to a large L-shaped outdoor area with seating and a big fire pit. The bartenders were kind, friendly and helpful. The house special drinks were super tasty. In the morning, there's coffee at the bar/front desk area, and hot water for tea. The Standard room I was in seems particularly well set up for a single overnight, but I was staying 4 nights. I knew it would be small, but I was impressed how well they used the space. It had no closet, just lots of hooks, and I'd brought a full wardrobe for all the Festival photo ops. I requested extra hangers and got them promptly with a big smile. The clothes steamer they provided was high quality and much better than the typical iron/board hotel option. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were not all the same - love that, as there's no "perfect" pillow for everyone. The "desk" in the Standard room was a fold-down wall-mounted unit. It was surprisingly solid, tho small; not great for a long day of work, but perfect for my needs. I wish there had been towel hooks/rods in the bathroom. That wasn't great. But honestly, that's my biggest complaint. Oh, the weather turned cold and windy my last day. Accidentally discovered a great hack, by using the door lock as a hook for the robe they provide. Because it blocked the seam of the door, the robe kept any cold draft out brilliantly! Anyway, if you're looking for a friendly, boutique hotel with a hip vibe, please stay at the Dryce. They're possibly the most pleasantly staffed hotel I've ever stayed at. read more

Came here for Gustos. Cool trendy independent hotel just outside of the 7th st area. Had a couple of drinks at the hotel bar. Bartender was nice. Hotel manager was present and friendly as well. Seems like a nice place to chill and have a drink. Our main purpose was to check out Gustos for a smashburger, they hang around the back of the hotel and I'm not sure I went through the right entrance to get to them. Burger was good, I wouldn't go back for it though unfortunately. I'm a big Dayne's fan. Nice hotel however. read more

What a fun night! We wanted to have some cocktails and listen to some music and the Dryce was the place to be. Not crowded at all, the DJ was a really great mix of old school and reggaton, and the drinks were doing their job! I could not get over the art installations in the bar, it was every single thing. To sound like the kids, it was a whole vibe. I wish the menu wasn't fixed so I could have tried exactly what I wanted, but the mix of drinks that they did have were great! I drank the Next Episode all night and it was delicious. Mezcal, a mango/Tajin mix, and a candied mango on top! Really good and refreshing. The owner was there mingling about, I didn't realize that until after my friends told me, but bravo to him on setting up such a cool place. read more

Stayed here during a concert at dickies arena. It is literally across the street and such an easy walk! This place is a small boutique style hotel very modern and simple. Love the fact that this place isn't carpeted the rooms just seemed cleaner because of it! The bathroom counter space is definitely lacking but they did have carts in there for that to help. We stayed here to attend an event at the Dickies Arena, and the 5 minute walk was very convenient. Our King View room overlooked the arena, too. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. (I agree the counter space in the bathroom was lacking, but I think the cart made up for it.) We loved the huge shower and premium toiletries. The bed was very comfortable! The heater worked very well, and I even had to get up once to turn it down. We appreciated the free drink tokens for the bar. Since it was very cold outside on the night we were there, there was nothing out on the patio. It did look really nice, and we would have loved to be able to sit out there on a warmer night. The inside bar was funky and comfortable, and the bar staff was friendly. Overall, we would gladly stay here again! read more

Great ambiance but the tv remote was busted. Maybe that added to the ambiance. Very chill vibe. It's a converted ice plant, so there's that. Wife said the bed was uncomfortable but I slept fine. Definitely not your average hotel which may appeal to you. read more

The rooms are decorated very cute, you get a large shower and literally the MOST comfortable hotel bed I have ever had. The bar tender was telling me and my friend about their silent book club and other events they host. Completely misrepresented online. No food available. No service available. Dirty cold concrete floors. Holes and stains on sheets. Refrigerator doesn't work. No coffe pot or microwave. Lotions and soaps were used and open. Towels were coming apart. No remote or working tv. No staff on-site at the bar area. Filthy elevator. Rooms are extremely small and closterphobic. Desk was a 2'x2' board hanging from wall. Heating was extremely loud and barely worked. No lights except an unplugged lamp and a wall lamp that didn't work. Made a reservation for this hotel 11/18/2024 for an NCAA event taking place across the street at Dickies Arena, staying 4/16 to 4/20. Received an confirmation text on 4/14 confirming the dates. Received an email on 4/16 at 10am allowing for on-line check in. On 4/16 we flew in from Tampa and arrived at the hotel at 11pm only to be told we had no reservation. The clerk was very unhelpful. She did finally locate our reservation and told us it had been canceled on 4/9. I showed her the email from earlier that day along with the texts....neither mattered. She was able to get us a room for the night but told us they were booked up for the weekend during the event we came to see. Clearly they had been able to sell those rooms at a higher rate so they canceled our room and never advised us. Super stressful experience to be told at 11pm in a strange city that you have no room.....noting this neighborhood is very dumpy. The next day I asked to see the manager and told there was no manager. I was given an email address to write to, which I presume was fake because no one ever replied back. The clerk said there were no notes on the cancelation, another bad sigh...no one knows what is going on at this place. What a horrible experience. Go to Home2Suites...it just just 1 mile away, great rooms, great staff and way nicer neighborhood. read more

I started at 3 decided to go to 4 stars, probably more like 3.5. They did a decent job here have a bar and patio. Our dog was welcome on patio not in room. We stay at these boutique hotels a lot, many in Manhattan so I will share some thoughts. The bed was very comfortable, but as it was custom made I wonder why not move it 6 inches to the left to allow a small surface to put my phone and a drink? Missing the minibar in room, there is an income stream they are missing - I enter Ian client out of them before going out for the night. No place to hang any clothes? Bathroom nice but the little metal roll around cart does not give you much work space, then a spacious shower with no hooks for your towel or shelf for sundries? Thermostat set to 72 reads 65 and room never warmed up. Blackout shades were good and tv options fine. This is across the street from the new Dickies arena - so I would stay again if I were going to a show - book it early I bet it is sold out quickly when a concert is going on. read more
