Julie is extremely professional, quick on responses, and is just a wonderful person in general! I did flowers and chair rentals with her, but her company, Simply Elegant, does more than that, offering wedding planning/ coordinating services, decorating services, and more. I had a vision for what I wanted the florals to look like for my wedding. Before meeting with Julie, I met with at least 5 florists. I very clear in expressing my ideas. All of the florists took over two weeks send me the proposal. They quoted me by the flower--each flower costing a certain amount which always ended up being wayyyy over my budget. When they finally sent me the proposal it was nothing like I pictured. When I would ask them to revise it, they would either tell me what I was asking for couldn't be done or they wouldn't even respond to me. ALL of that changed when I met Julie. I contacted her and she responded almost immediately. She asked me to send her pictures of ideas I had. By the time of our first meeting she already understood my style and had even more suggestions for me that were beautiful! She had the proposal done the same day and worked within my budget. She doesn't stem count so I got more flowers than in any of the other proposals for much, much cheaper. She even custom made one of my centerpieces. She has such a fantastic eye and is so experienced that she made everything more beautiful then I even thought possible! But Julie is so much more than a florist! Even though she wasn't my wedding planner (I already had one by the time I met Julie) she treated me like I was one of her brides. She constantly checked on me. When I had an issue with anything for my wedding, she went out of her way to find a solution. She was with me every step of the way and she made me feel so special and truly made my wedding planning process stress free. She is the best! I am SO thankful I found Julie. What a fun thing to do, even if you're a local!…read more Our guide was Dan, who was fun and knowledgable about the area (though...we were locals so we didn't really care). It was nice for him to give us the options of bars to visit, since most of us knew them already, and we could give him an idea of what vibe we were in to (on our crazy Thursday afternoon outing haha). They have great tunes to blare, complimentary plastic cups and bottled water, and even seatbelts (safety first for the drunkies) should you choose to wear. Tip: definitely have more people than we did (6) since it was pretty tiring and Dan had to bust on the power to get us around town successfully and through stoplights.

If possible, my group probably would've kept the bicycle pedalling ALLLLL night. Two hours wasn't enough. We most definitely will return. One of my friends made a private group reservation so all 14 seats were accounted for by friends, with Captain John steering. He really did make the night [plus the badass spotify playlist one of my girlfriends made]. As a group we decided to go ahead and meet for dinner @ Brat Haus - so funny that we ended up seated next to the check-in booth for TDT. We didn't have a specific plan for bars/routes around Old Town, we just wanted to have fun. So Captain John made sure to just hit up a few select places because nothing is more fun than going wild on a beer bike with friends [although the swing at Gilligans was fun]. Because we were loud and fun, one of our friends who lives on the top story of a condo in Old Town heard us screaming out the "500 Miles" song along the way. Cannot wait to do this again!

Alyrik's Castle planned a wedding for my brother, about 3 years ago. It was a small, intimate…read morewedding, but for our budget, Alyrik's Castle went way beyond what we ever expected! We thought our space was too small for the wedding-wish list, but the team at Alyriks Castle rearranged the space and all of the wish list ides were brought to fruition. My sister in law wanted the night lights to resemble a, sort of, fairy garden and the decorations to give the ambiance of fresh organics and flowers. Dari and her team came through! Not only were there fresh flowers and vines, but arches covered in baby' breath, tiny cream colored rose buds and ivy; mood lighting throughout the seating areas, walking isle and bordering the venue. Dari highlighted the alter with an arch of lights and vines that resemble the something out of the Garden of Eden and romantic acoustics set the mood for a beautiful wedding. The hors d' oeuvres were well planned and the bar menu was perfectly paired with the entrée. Fresh salmon with a rice pilaf and arugula salad is what I had. There was steak too, but the salmon was TO-DIE-FOR!!! I didn't try the cake, but the photos of the cake look incredible and I saw our grandmother go back for a second helping. :) Anyhow, we were so pleased with the service provided by Alyrik's Castle, that we used them again, for our Grandparents 65th wedding anniversary. It certainly didn't need to be as elegant as a wedding, but once again, Dari and her team came full-force! We had no idea that the party should be adorned in the color of Blue Sapphire, but it was beautifully done! The food was better than expected, with a little of everything for everyone. The Mariachi Band was a nice touch, too! My Grandmother always wants to listen to Mariachi... I look forward to working with Dari and Alyrik's Castle for all of our upcoming parties. We couldn't do any of it without them!

They were amazing from start to finish…read more They helped us figure out what we needed, helped us plan and execute our entire wedding and all for less then what the other rental companies wanted just to rent the bare essentials! we were able to get our entire wedding....from tables, linens and chairs to all of our decor, centerpieces, lawn games, chalkboards, mason jars, lanterns, backdrops. They had a amazing amount of Shabby Chic Decor that we could never had afforded to buy, but their prices were unbelievably reasonable. They even put together our wedding favors and created personalized goodie bags and napkins for us. We had a fairly small budget and they were able to help us have a amazing wedding and we only spent $5500 for 100 guests for everything venue, decor, flowers, and catering! I would recommend them to anyone.

In a pinch I was looking for a new photographer to take professional real estate photos, I was able to book the session for the following week right on time for my deadline since we needed photos by that week. In addition to the normal real estate photos they offer aerial photos/videos, social media reels, customized videos, marketing materials for homes on the market, and more! I opted into the 35 photos, 10 aerial photos, social media reel, and a 2D design of our home. Both myself and our creative consultants we are working with to build our direct booking website/brand was also just as pleased. Thank you Cole for the timely follow-ups and to Jacob for coming on time and for capturing our photos and video! Jacob was easy to work with and was open to our photography guidelines. A big perk of perk with Desert Lens is that they have a client portal to view your photos/videos and choose the dimensions of your photos.
