I am a wedding planner and recently did an event this weekend (a wedding for approx. 170 guests). Events by Summer was also hired and let me just say they did a phenomenal job! Summer , Crystal ,and Priscilla were so easy to work with and so helpful! They made my job easier and they didn't even complain even though it was 110 degrees outside and were moving 170 chairs. We hired Summer and her crew to work the reception for our daughter's wedding at THE FIRE GARDENS IN BONSALL in July of 2014. When my bartender flaked out on me she was able to get someone to replace him one week before the event! They arrived on time, we're very professional, dressed nicely and were very helpful. We asked them to stay a couple of hours extra than contracted and were able to accommodate us. They even cleaned up. It made the event run very smoothly as we did a combo of self catering and a vendor for he main course. I highly recommend her company! read more

Let me start by saying my fiancé was against having a wedding planner or day of coordinator & believed family would be able go handle any tasks given for setting up our wedding. I knew this wouldn't be the case & Summer saved me in so many ways. First off she is available any time you need throughout the planning process by phone, text or email for advice or questions. She helps set up a timeline for the day of the wedding & makes suggestions for making the day run more smoothly. She also will communicate with all your vendors & gives them timelines and guidance as well. A couple weeks before the wedding all your vendors will have the timelines & know who to contact for any questions. She came to our rehearsal and worked with the venue and our Pastor on how the ceremony will play out. We asked her to stay for lunch and she took pictures throughout the rehearsal & lunch and immediately sent them to me! What a sweet gesture! I didn't even think about taking pictures and this was a blessing looking back on the day! After the rehearsal she even came to my hotel room to go over how the ceremony & reception would be set up & made sure everything was organized so she would have an easier time come wedding day! She was willing to be available all day for the wedding. She came early around 10am and worked with our photographer for whatever we needed help with coordinating photos and doing her best to keep everything run more smoothly. Then she was off to set up our wedding in just two hours! She set up everything on her own & when she realized she was pressed for time she called her husband in for back up & we had a couple friends go help out, but they said she had it under control by the time they got there and only had a couple last min touches. The ceremony was perfect she guided everyone out & after the ceremony she made sure my husband & I didn't need anything & went around to finish take down of the ceremony. The decor & set up for the reception was more amazing then I envisioned it would be. Everyone complimented how beautiful everything looked! She made sure we had food & drinks & catered to everything we needed all night long! We forgot to set up a place for our vendors to eat & sit during the reception & my husband ran to her in a panic to see if she could get another table set up, she reassured him it wasn't a problem and by the time we turned around a table was set up in minutes. She stayed and helped clean up & pack up our entire venue! My family, friends & vendors all complimented how talented & easy she was to work with! At the end my husband wouldn't stop praising how amazing Summer is & he's so glad we hired her (despite thinking we didn't need a planner!) We were both overjoyed with how much she did for us & were so grateful for every last detail she took care of for us! She is amazing and anyone who has the opportunity to hire her should jump at it without a second of hesitation! Summer was the bartender for my 40th birthday celebration and I have nothing but great things to say about her. She arrived promptly and had supplies in case I needed them. She had a positive attitude and was friendly with all of the guests. Additionally, she checked in throughout the night to let us know if we needed anything. As a side note, the next morning I had noticed that the top to my soda stream had gone missing and when I let her know about it, she promptly ordered a new one for me without me even asking her to. I hired Summer and Priscilla to serve at our backyard wedding in May 2015 for 165 guests. They were there for about 10 hours and were invaluable at helping to set everything up ahead of time and to make sure that the party went smoothly - including decorating, setting out and serving drinks and food, cutting and serving the cake, working closely with the caterers, and much more, as well as cleaning up. Both Summer and Priscilla were very professional in attire and demeanor and worked hard, and were very conscientious. Summer even helped make sure that the events of the day stayed on schedule. I hired Event Serving By Summer for my backyard wedding on 6/27 and couldn't have asked for a better team to help. I hired two girls, Jenny and Priscilla, for event prep (light food prep., set up, etc.), bar-tending and during-event cleanup. Both showed up early, were dressed very professionally and were ready to get to work. Together they made it happen. They were cheery, polite and on top of things the entire night. Not once did I, my coordinator or any of my guests (most importantly) have anything other than positive words to say about the team. Throughout the night the 'venue' was kept clean and the drinks remained flowing (not an easy feat with my group and open bar!!). As the bride I'm a little biased however, every time I passed the bar there was a drink waiting for me, never once did I have to ask for one. Now that is service!! Summer was very easy to contact, work/coordinate with and straightforward (very important in my book). If you are looking for event help this is the place to go!!
