We wanted all our family present at the ceremony and therefore we had no one else we would trust to take this on... we therefore decided we needed a day of coordinator. Hiring Ms. Day-Of was the BEST decision! Maury went above and beyond. She was very communicative and flexible with calls and meetings and she worked with me in the months leading up to my wedding day planning the timeline and contacting my vendors. When it came to the day of, she took care of everything! Not only did she set up all the tables and decorations, as I had envisioned it, but also coordinated with all our vendors, kept us on schedule, helped guide and facilitate getting guests from the cocktail hour to the dinner and helped clean up and make sure all of our gifts and personal items were safe and put away for when we were ready to leave that night. She was very professional and she made a great impression with our guests. We actually received great feedback from family, guests, and other vendors, who interacted with her, on what an amazing job she was doing.  We can't thank her enough for doing such an amazing job in relieving that stress and allowing us to enjoy our beautiful wedding to the fullest!

Everything turned out great. I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding. Well, I the Groom got there before she did. About 30-45 minutes later she got there. And her "crew" which is 1 person (a week prior, she said she would have atleast 3 person. 2 person setting up the ceremony location and 1 person assisting the bride.) about 5 minutes after getting there, she left to get the flowers. She was gone a loooong time and did not cwnme back till about 10 minutes before ceremony. My bride was furious and cried out of frustration as Chanda the planner who should have been there to supervise and lead the event (as she gave us a timeline of what would take place a week prior) is MIA. Meanwhile i was waiting outside with all the guest where a nice jazz music should be playing (again as she told us a week prior) unfortunately the sound of the IPOD dock that she brought (not a big enough speakers like she said a week prior) was drowned by the sound of the ocean! So my bride walked out to pretty much no music. So much for picking out songs which she had as do. Now lets get to the photos. The photographer arrived at the location just a bit after i did, which was great. EXCEPT Chanda did not give the photographer the SHOT LIST we filled up months prior to the wedding. A few weeks ago she told us that the CD of the wedding photos had been sent our way. Its been about 3 weeks and still have not receive it. Mind you we are just probably just an hour away from each other. Why not just meet up, you wonder? Well my wife is repulse by Chanda and how she made our wedding tacky, cheap, and somewhat unpleasant. i write this review as suggested by wedding officiant who was hired by Chanda. The wedding officiant swore that this would be her first and last business with Chanda as she did not like how Chanda dealt with our wedding. Chanda was MIA much of the time that the officiant suggested that we should go on with the ceremony.

I found Cassandra to be the best fit for me because of the reasons to follow: Professionalism - Cassandra is insanely responsive and timely. I think wedding planners vary dramatically in terms of how they prioritize their planning services and I never felt like Cassandra was working with anyone else, but me. This was especially important for me because I lived in San Francisco at the time and my wedding was in Los Angeles. Creativity - I have creative ideas, but I'm not a professional by any means. I needed someone who could think creatively around how to achieve the vision for my wedding. I knew what I wanted to accomplish with our wedding -- my husband and I wanted to move away from a ballroom setting and create an unorthodox, exclusive celebration with tons of our personality meshed in while feeling intimate even though we had 200 persons in attendance. Cassandra regularly gave me ideas and feedback to make sure we could accomplish what we set out to do. Insight - Because we chose to move away from "wedding in a box" venues, we needed insight into the world of wedding events so that we knew what was a must and what was simply a nice-to-have. Cassandra is an expert with years of experience and she could make decisions that I simply wasn't equipped to make. Ultimately, on my wedding day, Cassandra was CRITICAL. I lost my earrings (she found them), I forgot to get the flower girl petals (she secured them within minutes), I forgot to eat lunch (she had a salad waiting for me), my uncle who was supposed to play at the ceremony was late (she had a plan B ready to go immediately). Given everything she had already done by the time of my wedding, and everything she did the day of my wedding, it was a celebration I could relish in and I honestly don't think that can be taken for granted. We talked to several different wedding planners, but we loved Vai and Sotiare Event Planning. Vai had amazing modern taste that helped us make our wedding unique and personal. She helped guide us through every step and made us feel confidant in every decision we made. In the planning stages, Vai helped created a timeline and a list of all the things to be done. Since the Internet is a pit of over priced information we also relied on her experience and relationships with different vendors to get us started. Vai was extremely accessible for questions, even the goofy ones like, "Do you think that is cool?" or "Should we go with the fold or triangle napkin?" She was always extremely knowledge and helpful. On our big day Vai seamlessly coordinated every aspect of the wedding from dealing with the venue and vendors to making sure my mom from Iowa knew her seat. She made sure everything was where it should be, when it should be, and how it should be, just like we planned. The most important thing that Vai did was that she made sure we had a great time. That we were able to live every moment of a day that went by in a blink of an eye. For that, we are forever grateful, because it was the most special day of our lives. We sat down and discussed all the details we had envisioned. Vai took notes during the meeting and typed everything up and emailed it over. This was monumental. We finally had everything typed out so we can see all the elements we needed. Vai is phenomenal with staying on task and guiding us to solutions. I was offered a good deal on some chairs from our vendor and when I showed them to Vai she asked if we were curious about what was current. Yes yes yes So happy she has this knowledge because the chairs that she suggested were not only current but looked perfect. She has many years of experience planning events as well as plenty of visual references and visual inspiration images that suited our vibe. From flower arrangements to table dressing, wedding dresses to honeymoon destinations, djs wedding entertainment, catering ideas and all. Vai has you covered. Work started to get very hectic at the least opportune moments when the emails had to be sent out etc. Vai made herself completely available and would always make time to come by for a few hours so we could get the help we needed simply sending out the emails to the guests and checking in on our to do list. She kept us sane on stressful days by being diligent and kind working efficiently and being thorough. She had spreadsheets filled with information and everything was always extremely organized and clear. Vai handled contacting all our vendors and made sure everything would run smooth day of. She suggested her assistant also help out day of and we were so thankful because it was so nice to have someone tending to both of us keeping us on time and making sure we were where we needed to be when we needed to be there. She was like a mind reader I would think "oh I need a straw" and she would literally be right behind me handing me one. This may come as no surprise to you if you've read other reviews, but the happiest day of our lives is rooted in our decision to hire Lindsey Antioho as our coordinator. Lindsey, in addition to being incredibly warm and thoughtful, proved herself to be a professional planner with a tireless work ethic. The dozens of fires I mentioned either didn't materialize, or were extinguished without our knowledge. In either case, we owe Lindsey our undying gratitude. She and her amazing assistants (whom she selected clearly based on their diligence and effectiveness) made sure we could forget about potential problems and simply enjoy our ceremony and reception.
