I didn't really have a clear vision on what I wanted, but at least a rough idea of specific colors. Maria was incredibly helpful with her recommendations, and guiding me through the various options available. She also did not try to push me in any particular direction and gave me the space I needed to make my choices. We exchanged a few emails after our initial meeting to hammer out some other details, and each time, Maria was very gracious in offering up her time and availability, despite it being a very busy season. The day of the wedding, I didn't even have to think about a thing as everything was completely set up while I was getting ready. The flowers all looked beautiful and really added another layer of elegance to our special day. I paid $265.00 for a premium set of flowers for Valentine's and it looks nothing like the picture. There was no ribbon, some flowers had broken stems. Im not a florist but it was poor presentation. Sorry .... didn't use this Florist. Reason was delivery fee. I wanted 2 arrangements delivered to Moorpark. 2 different addresses but within 3 min of each other. 1 address on Watson and second house on Woods. Literally, extremely close. Their delivery fee was $25 and they would not discount the second delivery fee. I just thought that was not cool at all. They missed out on a $200 order just because they wanted to insist on a $50 delivery fee. Not wise. Not wise at all. read more

By 4:00 I had not heard anything called what I thought was the shop they have a call center answer the calls and they aren't at the shop location. I was so disappointed when I went there to buy a bouquet of flowers for my friends birthday. 3 women were there and one gal was kind of panicked because customer ahead of me wanted to pay, and they were down, had to go to another register. By the time I was noticed, I had said I wanted a mixed arrangement with some roses, and I referenced the mini ones I liked at with some other flowers. The gal offered me some "fresher" ones in the back, used only one larger rose, she suggested a particular color pointed to some pretty ones then said no can't use those. The money I paid was a waste. I ended going to Ralph's grocery and found a beautiful assortment. I had a wonderful experience with Flowers by Maria in Simi Valley. I had ordered flowers from another florist to be delivered to Mount Sinai Memorial Park for a funeral on Sunday. The flowers had to be delivered by Friday Because the mortuary is closed on Saturday and there are no Sunday deliveries. I arranged a flower delivery with another florist and at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon I got a text telling me they couldn't deliver them on Friday because they didn't have enough fresh flowers in stock (if you can believe it). I searched through all the florists in Simi Valley and just arbitrarily picked Flowers by Maria. I explained the situation to them and the woman I spoke to (who's name I regretfully can't remember) was kind enough to tell me that normally it would be difficult to get the Flowers to the Mortuary on time but she said she personally would drop them off at Mount Sinai on her way home and make sure they got there before 5 o'clock. They then sent me a text confirming that the flowers had been delivered. It was a great relief for me and when I saw the flowers behind the casket on Sunday morning they were absolutely beautiful, a stunning bouquet on a stand behind the casket. I'm very grateful to Flowers by Maria and I hope my comments bring them the business they deserve. read more

My company sent me flowers when my grandfather passed away. I have sent and received this bouquet for many occasions. It's one of my favorites. Sometimes it doesn't always look like it does on the website. This arrangement was beautiful and just as it is pictured in the website, maybe even better. I appreciate that some lilies were open already and some unopened so I will get to enjoy the arrangement for a while.
