I then took to research on finding a cost effective planner. After tons of research, inquired with 6 planners explaining our $10K budget for our wedding. Two of them didn't even respond, 2 others had fees that were a majority of our budget, and 1 girl scoffed at our budget and condescendingly directed me to a blog mocking a $10K wedding budget. Cindy was the only one who provided a sincere, warm, and welcome response and was excited at the prospect of meeting with us to explore some possibilities within our budget. Ultimately we went with a close friend that is a wedding planner by trade who offered to do our wedding essentially for free. I guess we didn't delve enough into the process to speak to Cindy's execution and value, but I do want to say from the planners I interacted with, she was a breath of fresh air and I'm actually disappointed we won't be working with her.

We had only two months before our wedding and we had nothing planned. Cindy guided us through step by step and made what would have been a stressful process become nothing more than running a few extra errands a week. Because of her vast experience, she had the framework for wedding planned out from the get-go. We knew from the start that she would be doing all of the thinking, which was a great deal of weight lifted from our backs; we were in good hands. Our greatest fear in having a wedding planner was that we would be pressured into doing things the way the wedding planner wanted; this was not the case with Cindy. She worked with us and took very special care in customizing every minute detail in the wedding plan; she was very creative and was able to throw dozens of ideas our way, letting us pick and choose what we wanted to do. Whenever there was one thing that we said no or hesitated on, she was able to give us two more options; she wasn't satisfied until she knew that we were satisfied. Everytime we met Cindy she would bring a portfolio of everything we have accumulated so far. We'd always forget what we had to bring or what we should bring, but soon after we figured out that she would have everything that we needed; we pretty much relied on her for everything. She would send us a to-do list or reminders after every meeting, so we never once had to wonder what was left to be done. She definitely made wedding planning something that barely interfered with our lives; we were shocked how smooth everything went. Whether it was before, during or after the wedding, Cindy was available to us when we really needed her. We couldn't imagine how we would have survived without her and if we were to go back in time to choose again, we would without a doubt choose AC Wedding & Events to do our wedding planning.

You know the stereotypical scene where little girls dress up as brides, and marry their Ken doll,…read moreMr. Teddy Bear or the like and what not?! Yeah.... I definitely NEVER fell into that stereotype (Ken just isn't my type?). In fact, up until I met my now husband, I never considered getting married even an option for me (and neither did my family). I was even about to start a club called SPINSTERS FOR LYFE. So when my manfriend of 2 years proposed to me on Christmas 2015... I had a bit of a panic attack (I've got video to prove it- according to my husband, I was not happy about being proposed to! Ah ha ha). When it finally "sunk in" (let's be real, it still hasn't) that I was going to get married (thanks to my mom "motivational" words of "get your sh*t together, about two months after being proposed to), the panic attack returned because HOW IN THE F-ity F do I plan a wedding?! THANKFULLY I watch enough girly chick flicks to know that WEDDING PLANNERS do exist... And my brother's girlfriend (who may or may not have played dress up Bride when she was a kid, LOL) just so happened to be friends with one! Talk about coincidence! Sure I could have simply settled for my brother's girlfriend's friend but just like dating, you've got to play the field before you find your perfect match, AMIRIGHT?! So I decided to meet a few other planners before settling down. After many "first dates"... I decided to make my move and proposed to Dee (the owner and main wedding planner of No Worries Events). She accepted, and til November 12 do us part! I remember early on in the process of planning, getting a bit stressed about where to get married, numbers, settings, etc... And calling Dee completely frazzled- even telling her JUST GIVE ME A CALL TIME AND I WILL BE THERE! NO WORRIES!" She said... And she was right. Dee researched venues for my husband and I to check out (and came with us to said venues), florists, wedding photographers, DJs, etc... And made sure ALL COSTS stayed within our wedding budget. She made sure my husband and I were 100% happy with all the decisions and whenever we had questions/comments/concerns for and about the venue we selected, she always took care of it! Never once did I feel stressed, frazzled or nervous- ONLY INSANELY EXCITED! Sure, there were a few snags during the planning process, I mean- when are there not?! But Dee took care of ALL OF THEM (giving Jennifer Lopez/Mary a run for her money)... And when November 12 finally arrived... The day was above and beyond perfect. I won't lie to you, I had NO IDEA what the ballroom was going to look like... Thanks to the fact that there was little communication about floral decor other than my wanting SOLELY LEAVES (no flowers because of allergies)... But Dee pretty much READ MY MIND and made sure the room looked almost exactly to what I had envisioned. Okay, I need to stop myself from going on and on, because I certainly could... Dee is above and beyond. I wouldn't have had the wedding I had without her. Nope. And you know what?? Now I want to play BRIDE and marry my husband everyday because this experience definitely made me feel like a princess! Thank you Dee! (Ladies, if you have any questions, feel free to message me).

Not wanting to hurt her or ruin her day I THANKFULLY found TEARS OF JOY on Instagram. It literally took ONE phone call to Adrienne and the rest is pretty much history. I'd offered to help as well but with work and my busy career it was almost impossible. But ADRIENNE was there EVERY single step of the way. She kept me up to date as to what was going on and what my friend had requested. Something about her calmed and reassured me. I only had one concern, that was to take care of my friend on her special day. Well the GIRLS of Tears of Joy surpassed that expectation tenfold and 100%. She coordinated every single detail to the tee and exactly like my friend wanted. On the big day these girls were there EVERY step of the way making sure my friends wishes went as planned. Her and her team even had the arduous task of sending away unwanted guests at the Brides request of course. But they did so with such professionalism and tact that it was to be admired. My friends day went off exactly as planned with Adrienne herself even making a last ditch to the reception location to fetch the brides bouquet that was accidentally left at the hotel. How she goy back to the wedding in time I will never know. Thats just what you get with these women. A group of "make it happeners". Her and her staff just go wayyy above the call of duty and what is expected. Which is exactly what I'm use to and what I expect. I'm so glad I took a chance and called on Tears of Joy. I can't thank Adrienne and Melanie enough for all their hard work and couldn't have done it without them. ATTENTION BRIDES AND GROOMS ALL OVER THE GALAXY!!!…read more Question...how much do you love yourself and your future spouse? When my husband (yay) and I first started planning our wedding we thought "yeah, we got this". I know many of you reading this post are probably thinking the exact same thing (and perhaps you do), but trust me when I say...the best thing you could ever do for yourself and the biggest day of your life (so far) is to hire the team at Rebel Belle Weddings. Let's say, hypothetically speaking, you and future betrothed have all the free time in the world together to plan the wedding of your dreams...unless you work in the wonderful world of weddings do you really know what you're doing? 6 months into our planning and after watching a million wedding shows (as many brides to be do) I decided that at the very least I wanted a planner to take charge the day of. After doing a ton of research I found Laura and Megan at Rebel Belle. Initially what drew me in was their quirky sensibility and the fact that these ladies looked tough (we knew we were going to need someone to wrangle all our guests). The most amazing thing happened after meeting Laura (or Street Fight as we lovingly call her) we decided not only did we want her for our day of, but also for her full planning expertise. Laura set us straight that day in the best way, we realized not only did we need, but we deserved someone to barter, bargain and back us up. Here's the thing, I was foolish to think that not hiring a wedding planner would save us money to pay for other things. The reality of the situation is that Rebel Belle paid for themselves 10 fold! Within a week of signing the contract Laura hooked us up with a caterer from her VIP vendor list. Not only did her VIP have a better menu than any on our venue's preferred list but also cost less than the buy out fee (we had to pay to get an outsider caterer) and total cost of food combined! Every vendor they referred us to gave us deal after amazing deal. Not only were each vendor experts in their field but also truly amazing human beings. Rebel Belle has a posse and you want to get to know them! I could go on for days about these amazing women who I am lucky enough to call friends, but I'll cut it short and return to my first question...how much do you love yourself and your future spouse? I've talked to many of my married friends and each of them said they were at eachother's throats throughout the planning process. I almost feel guilty. Planning the most amazing day of my life (which it was, so far) with my husband, Laura and Megan was seriously the most fun I had since my party days in college! So if you love your honey, like I love mine, you'll hire Rebel Belle Weddings. Let go of the stress, stay on budget, get everything you deserve and have the most fun ever! These ARE the planners you've been looking for!

I do marketing and events for a living, so when…read moreit came to our big day, I was planning this thing down to the most minute detail... so anyone working with us needed to have a near OCD level of "on top of things." We were also planning a very unique day, one that combined more than TEN different areas of our collective geek passions (Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc), so anyone working with us needed to be fluent in geek speak. Enter Laura and her Rebel Belle team. There are no words for what a godsend Rebel Belle was for our day. We hired them to consult with us throughout the process, help us with vendors, reign us in when necessary, but more often than not, encourage us to let our geek flag fly and make our ideas bigger and better. As we got down to the wire, Laura (who completely understood my level of obsessive planning) sat me down and said, "Jen, I'm going to need you to give me this wedding, I've got this." And you know what? She and her team had every single detail (from the matching custom centerpiece, chargers and menu card wraps, to the correct placement of the Stormtroopers) flawlessly executed. I was truly able to enjoy the day and didn't worry about a thing (which is no small feat for me). We had a complete trust in Laura and her team to make our day everything we wanted and more, and they went above and beyond. Laura and her team are brilliant, professional, fun, and truly lovely people (but are tough when they need to be!). We couldn't have done it without them, and recommend that you don't either. :)

Worst experience ever!!! If you care about your wedding, make sure you finish reading this review…read morebefore making any decisions. You know when people tell you about their wedding experience and how it went... well thanks to Hustle and Bustle our wedding was almost ruined. We went ahead and trusted the yelp 5 star reviews (big mistake!) and set up a meeting with Kaci to do our wedding. At first she seemed super enthusiastic and happy to do our wedding. So we went ahead and hired her to be our wedding coordinator. We found a spot that we liked and after "crushing some numbers" Kaci said was it was in our budget. We had many meetings with her and we sent many emails about what we wanted, so we thought Kaci had a good idea of our vision. We were wrong! The date was for set for a Saturday and it was a very important date for my wife and I cause the next day we booked a family cruise. Anyways after a few months Kaci suddenly sends us an email saying that the vendor is the most expensive she has seen and that the price has gone up! Huh? Didn't she research this? Why is she telling us AFTER we put down our deposit and many months later? Then she tells is that our ceremony is 30 minutes long and that the reception is 3 hours! Huh? Did we not talk to her about this? Why is everything changing? We sent out the save the dates and we put down a deposit so obviously we are freaking out. So we contacted her and this is word for word what her reply was ... "Sorry :(" A sad face?! A sad face?! Yeah your wedding date just went to hell and your venue fell through and the company that is supposed to watch your back during this process just sent you a sad face. We were very distraught and we decided to work with the owner Theresa. Another BIG mistake on our part. She met with her and she agreed that what happened to us was not right. We were very calm and nice even though we lost out on our wedding date and over $500. Then we ran into a problem. The dress maker that Kaci from Hustle and Bustle recommended to us, started threatening us and saying she was going to come over our place if we didn't pay her. She never even started on the dress but The funny thing is that we offered to pay her many times and sign a contract but most the time she didn't respond to our emails so we decided to look elsewhere. Now you think with Theresa, she would have a little more experience and tact. But when my wife called her asking for help, she said something to the extent of "that's what happens when you try to save a buck". Yes we got a dress maker that that her company recommended and now she is telling us this. We were very sad, confused with everything. We didn't understand. Is this what wedding planners normally? Were we not nice to her after losing a lot of money. My wife and I decide to give Theresa a call and speak with her about what was going on and in the middle of our conversation she started singing to her kids. Yeah just imagine, all these things with your wedding are falling apart and your wedding planner starts singing to her kids. After this we sent an email to her letting her know about our dissatisfaction with Hustle and Bustle. Do not hire them of you care about your wedding!

We are both busy, so planning a wedding was very difficult since we had limited time and knowledge. Tanya made the process very easy with no problems at all throughout the process. She is friendly, professional and extremely responsive. She also has very good attention to detail. We went with the full package since we needed quite a lot help, and Tanya was able to navigate us through the wedding planning process effortlessly. Her choice of vendors were also very helpful and all of them turned out quite well. I can honestly say that from the flowers, to the venue, to the catering, to the photographers & videographer and to the officiant, everything turned out exactly how my wife and I wanted. She was able to match up our vision of the wedding with the vendors, but she was also able to find the right people that matched our personalities. We knew Tanya was very helpful but didn't know how on top of things she was until we saw the wedding video. She moved around quickly and stealthily, doing things to ensure that the flow was great and effortless without being in the limelight. When people forgot to bring their champagne glasses up for the toasts, she swooped in quickly with a glass in short order. When we had forgotten to get a flower basket for the flower girl, she somehow magically produced a great basket out of nowhere. All in all, she made what could have been stressful process as stress-free as it could have been. She made sure that the actual wedding date was smooth, fun and without any problems. My wife still looks back on the wedding date and reminisces about how it was perfect and exactly what she wanted. I can truly say that this was almost entirely due to the fact that Tanya was there every step of the way helping us. You get to know someone well during the planning process, and we consider Tanya a friend who was able to make the wedding memorable and helped us have a lot of fun along the way.
