Our wedding day was truly one of the best days of our lives, and we're incredibly grateful that our…read morevision came to life. The final design was beautiful, and we loved working with our vendor team. Unfortunately, our experience with Details Darling throughout the planning process did not meet our expectations. The biggest challenge was communication. Responses regularly took about a week, despite email being identified as the preferred method of communication, and we often had to send multiple follow-ups or text messages to receive answers. More concerning, these communication delays also affected our vendors. Our rental company repeatedly followed up on outstanding items because they were unable to get the information they needed, and I ultimately called them myself to apologize and reassure them that we valued their partnership. Our paper goods designer also contacted me directly on multiple occasions because they were not receiving timely responses from our planner. Accountability was another significant disappointment. We spoke with one of the owners during our initial consultation, but after signing our contract and submitting our deposit, we never heard from ownership again. In fact, after our deposit had been in their possession for several days, I had to reach out myself asking what the next steps were. Later, after raising serious concerns about our experience early in the planning process, there was still no outreach or involvement from ownership to understand our concerns or ensure our experience improved. That lack of leadership and accountability was disappointing. Throughout the planning process, we often felt like we were driving the work ourselves. We were the ones identifying ways to reduce costs while still achieving our design goals. Rather than acting as a strategic partner in balancing budget and design, we often found ourselves leading those conversations. We also experienced confusion with rental pricing that resulted in unnecessary time and effort to resolve. There were also several day-of execution issues that were disappointing, including our escort card display not being set up as designed, my veil not being steamed, music delays with our ceremony and reception entrance, limited coordination during family photos, meals that were promised to be saved for us never being delivered, and our cake still being rock hard because it had not been removed from refrigerator in time. None of these issues individually ruined our wedding day, but together they reflected a pattern of slow communication, limited accountability, and inconsistent execution. Looking back, we believe our wedding was as successful as it was because of our own preparation and the exceptional work of vendors we selected, none of which were on the recommended vendor list from our planner. We appreciate the time Monica invested in our wedding and her kindness. However, based on our experience, we cannot recommend her or Details Darling's planning services to couples looking for a planner who will communicate proactively, advocate for their clients, and consistently follow through on commitments.

She was an absolute joy to work with - always had a laidback vibe which was so nice in the midst of pandemic wedding planning, never pushed me to spend more than I'd had budgeted, and was great at doing some creative thinking to guide us to our final floral look within budget. My bridesmaids absolutely loved their bouquets and were so excited to have something a little different than the other weddings they've been in. I had a cascading bouquet with palms and it was really incredible!! Sarah really nailed everything from the bouquets and boutonnieres to the centerpieces. She even gave me a complimentary "baby" boutonniere for my 6 month old nephew. I will say, unfortunately one flower in the boutonniere was really drooping by mid-way through the day, but we did have a 12pm ceremony, so it was hot and a long day before the reception began later on. Overall I'd definitely recommend! Thanks Sarah!!

When I initially contacted her, I was upfront about the fact that due to my budget, I was only really looking for brides bouquet/bridesmaid/boutonnieres. She gave me a very reasonable estimate, and then asked me all about my preferences for flowers and design. (Turns out I have a lot of opinions about flowers?) She sent back some example pics, all of which were perfectly on point. I'm kind of a perfectionist, though (and apparently opinionated about flowers), so I had a tiny spot of nervousness deep inside me, since I didn't actually know what my bouquets would look like. Long story short(er), when my lovely photographer Loretta handed me my bouquet, I definitely started crying. I've never seen such a beautiful bouquet before. It displayed such craft and artistry. Just look at my photos (done by the amazing Heirlume Photography). And then hire Sarah to put all the flowers all over your weddings.

Aida was a complete life saver for our wedding which we planned in 3 months. Initially I thought…read moreall I needed was help finding the right vendors, which Aida of course did. She got quotes from the vendors, communicated with them, and handled all interaction with them, from the signing of the contracts to the coordination on the day of the wedding. She also set up meetings with each vendor, attended the meetings with us and spent hours on the phone or in person discussing the results of the meetings, among other details of the wedding. But she did much more than handling the vendors. We had a backyard wedding and what I didn't realize was how much work would be involved in designing, decorating and transforming the place. This is where Aida's help was enormous. She and I came up with a vision for the day of the event and she guided me through every little detail that was needed to bring it to life. Most importantly, I could count on Aida to be there if I had questions, day or night, by phone, email or in person. She sent out emails at 2am sometimes unlike some of the other vendors we had to deal with. When you're under a time crunch, having responsive and professional vendors is major. I also want to mention that Aida remained conscious of our budget the entire time and didn't push anything that would cause us to exceed it. Lastly, I dont know what I wouldve done without Aida's coordination on the day of the wedding. For outdoor events like this, especially if you live where the event is being held, a coordination on the day of is an absolute necessity and we were very happy with Aida's work. I would highly recommend Aida as a planner and coordinator.
