She offers different levels of coordination -- I knew I wanted to make most of the planning decisions myself, but I needed a bit more than day of, so she put together a custom package for me. One thing I really appreciated was that unlike other planners I talked to, she didn't try to nickel-and-dime me with additional charges for every little item, which can quickly add up when it comes to weddings! The theme my sister wanted was of all things a Masquerade Ball theme. If you don't know what that is, I must say I didn't know either when I was asked such a thing as well. I was asking planners for quotes on March 3, 2019 for an event date of May 26, 2019. When I was searching for planners Katie answered back within the day of requesting quotes, and I can tell right away that she was very interested in being involved with the event from all the detailed questions she was asking during our VERY FIRST conversation. In all honesty I didn't have much planned and I was asking for this to be put together in a very short time span, 3 months. A very difficult and quite unreasonable task in my opinion. Katie was very accommodating with my busy schedule and was asked to do all the searching, quote gathering, and execution of all event tasks as I didn't have the time to be involved with the process. She basically was the creative genius that made the event so memorable. At the same time there was nothing but open and constant communication with every part of the process. I was presented with multiple options when it came to making any and every decision regarding the event, whether it be something major like a venue I would approve to the photographer, lighting and decoration ideas, vendors, entertainers, to the minor details like center pieces of the dining tables (which all in attendance absolutely loved and many were asking to keep). Each time always looking to have a great event while keeping in mind what my concerns may be, whether it be the budget, number of guests, type of decorum, anything in particular was up for discussion and if there was even a hint of a concern Katie showed no hesitation to address it. One thing I can say is that Katie is very organized and speaks with sincerity and clarity. She loves what she does and the passion shows in her excitement. For all who are thinking of working with her know that you will be as involved as you wish to be or as absent from the process as you would like, whatever you choose she accommodates. She does an amazing job in handling all the little things that a host would and makes things very clear. Anything comes up, an unexpected situation, and she is quick to address it, and very prompt in coming up with multiple solutions to please her client. Her and her beautiful team love what they do and have such amazing vision to see things beforehand, like an artist painting on a canvas, on how things are going to look and how the event is going to happen. The step by step process of what needs to be done before, during, and after to throw an event couldn't be in better hands. There are many in my friends and family circle that specifically expressed how "grand the scenery" and how "lovely" the event was, "better then wedding receptions" and "better than what you see on TV." The words "amazing, wonderful, beautiful" were all said and there were many who were speechless saying phrases "wow, oh my god, that's crazy." Everyone that was there is talking about it to others who weren't and pictures are going all over the guest's social media accounts. Above all the birthday girl was almost in tears of joy by it (we had to try to get her not to mess up her makeup). This meeting was a preview of the incredible work that she and her team did for us and made our wedding the event we had been dreaming of. Her presentation was fantastic - she laid out all of her service offerings in a concise and polished presentation. Cassidy impressed us right off the bat, it was an easy decision to hire Peace & Pine. Once we officially engaged Peace & Pine, Cassidy shared a digital package of resources including a budget tracker, checklists with suggested timelines, and folders where we could collaborate and plan the whole wedding efficiently. We hired Peace & Pine very early on in our planning stages, so we did not officially begin working together for the better part of a year, but Cassidy would check in with us monthly to see how things were going - this was very appreciated! Once our contractual engagement began, Cassidy became our right hand person and a trusted advisor. Cassidy was incredibly generous with her time. We had conference calls and face-to-face meetings with our venue and she joined in for all of it. Her presence was the ultimate stress antidote - she took copious notes on everything and was engaged every step of the way. You could tell through the whole process that she was going to have everything under control. Once the wedding weekend arrived, Cassidy took control in the best way possible. Her timelines were thorough and detailed and she became the point person for every aspect of the events. She ran our rehearsal the day before the wedding like clockwork. I decided that I needed a wedding coordinator a few months before my wedding because I couldn't bear the thought of (1) not being in control and (2) getting mad at my soon-to-be-husband for trying to coordinate when he has never once planned an event in his life. Cassidy is organized, helpful, and low-key (in the best way). She worked with my budget (very reasonable!), and once we determined my needs and wants, she shared a Google Drive folder like I couldn't believe. It included a budgeting spreadsheet, a to-do list based on the time left before your big day (she customizes this for YOU), and my favorite: a document with all vendor information as well as the schedule of events (it includes so much more, but I don't want to give it all away lol). Aside from the amazing Google Drive goodies, I was thankful for Cassidy's frequent reminders to not procrastinate -- I am terrible when it comes to planning things in my personal life, and she lovingly (and professionally) did not let me do this...and believe me, I tried. It's also helpful to note that Cassidy was there for my husband and me for two events: our secret elopement and our big wedding event. As someone who also got married in the pandemic, Cassidy was able to empathize and talk me through some of the harder parts of these events and even gave helpful tips/solutions when dealing with challenging moments. ELOPEMENT HIGHLIGHTS: - She got ordained so that she could officiate our elopement! - She gave us an excellent recommendation for where to obtain our marriage license (no wait at all!) - She camped out at our elopement site and was ready to "fight" another couple who tried to steal it from us (she's a great negotiator lol) - My husband and I didn't care to decorate for the elopement, but she brought candles and decorative crates anyway WEDDING DAY HIGHLIGHTS: - She organized and guided our wedding rehearsal which is helpful for anyone who has never been in a wedding before (including the bride and groom); my bridesmaids who have been in 3+ weddings said she was the most professional and experienced coordinator they had seen - She arrived early to the venue with her team, brought me Philz Coffee (seriously, Cassidy's the best), and worked quickly to set up everything - She checked in with me, the maid of honor, and best woman a few times throughout the morning/early afternoon to ensure we were on schedule - Throughout the evening (reception), she would check in with the groom and me to remind us of the small activities (cake cutting, tossing bouquet, speeches, etc.) and see what we wanted to do (or skip). She did this in the most non-intrusive way ever, and it was great. - Cassidy and her team worked with all my vendors behind the scenes and the day went as smoothly as it could because of her. - She also packed up all of our decor and put it away for us in the hotel MOST MEMORABLE HIGHLIGHT: This is hard for me to write about, but of all the things I was thankful for, Cassidy provided a questionnaire that asked about any challenging family dynamics that she (and possibly other vendors) might need to be aware of. While I wasn't too worried about family drama, I let her know about some tensions that made me uneasy, and she stored that knowledge away. Day of my wedding: my dad and brother were almost 30 minutes late. My bridal party and I were running late as it was, but as we lined up for the processional, she told me as gently as possible (after calling them a few times and checking in with my dad's brother)...but I still broke down. They showed up shortly after and Cassidy showed them to their seats, but she calmed me down. She gave me all the tissue in the world (and I think some for my maid of honor to hold on to), told my groom and I that we could take as much time as we needed before the ceremony, and reminded us that it was our event. Our day. She asked if we wanted to walk down the aisle together (instead of me by myself). We both loved that idea, and now when I look back, I wouldn't change it for anything. Cassidy, if and when you read this, I hope you know that I will never forget your professionalism and, more importantly, your kindness and empathy. You need to hire Peace & Pine. With them, it's about celebrating you. It isn't just planning an event. Go with them!
