During the inspection process, my real estate agent contacted Sal to evaluate the electrical wiring and panel in my 1975 home, including the aluminum wiring and needed outlet updates. Sal came out and provided three quote options upfront, clearly outlining the proposed work and estimated cost for each. My realtor and I greatly appreciated his proactive approach, which helped me understand my options before moving forward. After I moved in, I hired Sal, and he has been a stand-up person from the start. He takes the time to explain what I need to know as a new homeowner and walked me through the breakers in my electrical panel. Beyond the electrical updates, he installed a light fixture and recessed lighting in my living room--which I absolutely LOVE! I've since had him back for a third visit to install new ceiling fans. Sal and his assistant, Juan, are hardworking, communicative, respectful, and kind. They listen to their clients' needs and are a pleasure to work with. Finding someone reliable makes such a difference as a new homeowner, and I'm thankful to now have Sal & Son's as my go-to electrician. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship, clear communication, and dependable service!

After talking to another company that supposedly specialized in older homes, they wanted $500 up front just to do a detailed inspection to tell us what was needed to bring the electricals up to code. They asked this and that, when they should be taking the bull by the horns and knowing or figuring it out! Thankfully, we came across Emerald Pacific Electric. Chris and his team were superb: easy to communicate with, understood exactly what was needed, and suggested thoughtful avenues that we didn't even think of, such as what future needs of the house if we were to expand it, and burying the old unsightly overhead wires to go underground. His team was very respectful, hard working, put in all the outlets I would ever want, installed high quality lights and fans-- the works! They rewired the entire house and garage and really went above and beyond. Those guys thought nothing of crawling under the house all day to put in the wiring! Chris really looked after us as if the house were his own. Very high quality work, the only electricians you would ever need.

My experience mirrors a negative review below in that I had to redo Tony's expensive work because he did not do the job to CA code requirements. It is astounding to think that on a $2k job he would try to save maybe $50 in material rather than do it to code. My husband even asked him about the wire size he was using and when confronted he says it is to code and fine. Only after he pressed it further, did he finally relent and said my husband was right but that it would be fine and the code was too strict. I'm still waiting for him to refund our money. His worker was also sloppy and messy and not very professional. This was about a year ago so I don't recall his name. If he was a dirt cheap electrician I could maybe understand his thinking, but when he charges top dollar and you get subpar and amateur quality work there is just no point in entertaining his offer for your job. Maybe he can do a ceiling light or fan, but I would not trust him to do anything that required higher gauge wire that one day might lead to your house burning down because he skimped out.
