I then called to cancel but was told that I would need to do everything online and request my refund online, which I did. The next time I plan a trip to Taipei I will spring the extra bucks for Eva Air or JAL or ANA. I don't like sudden changes, and especially don't like being told on the phone that this is something that everyone should expect! No, it isn't if you fly by any respectable airline! However I do still think that they have some things to improve on such as the fact that their usb chargers don't actually work unless you are constantly pressing it at all times. Also, I don't like the headset set up as they don't have a normal input port and so you must use their headsets when you're in economy. But overall, its a lot better experience than I anticipated and will be flying with them more back to Taiwan.
