We recently flew Emirates for the first time going to Dubai and India. Our plane was the Airbus A380. After take off you're given their menu of meals that will be served on the flight, this also includes drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The food was very good, regional cuisine, along with snacks and juices available in the pantry or served. We were also given amenity kits which are filled with travel essentials such as toothbrush and toothpaste, sleep mask, socks, and ear plugs. Since the flight was 12-14 hours long, pillows and blankets are also a staple. My only issue is that the meals are served and then the drinks are served approximately 30 minutes later after the meal had been consumed. Otherwise, very enjoyable trip.

They deliver the best 5 star service from any business's flight this far. It's such a great experience. It made each flight to Dubai great. They serve great food, drinks, mattress for you business's class seat, great movie section & a private bar area for business class only. All of these features are in the top level where your seats are. Fun on the plane!

Great airline took it from JFK to Dubai. Food was good but the flight attendants were not great.

I had to be transferred once, but the second representative handled things better and gave me the correct information. It wasn't perfect, but it was still a workable experience. I'm leaving this review to share how things went for me personally.

Formal Complaint Regarding Our Experience with Norse Atlantic Airways…read more I want to share the horrific experience my wife and I had while flying with Norse Atlantic Airways from Rome to New York, a flight of approximately nine hours. My wife is six months pregnant, and as you can imagine, sitting for an extended period of time has become increasingly uncomfortable for her. I had originally purchased a Premium ticket because I was extending a business trip, and my wife decided to join me. As a result, she was traveling on a regular ticket and was seated toward the back of the aircraft. Before boarding, we spoke with the staff at the gate and were given the option to upgrade to Premium, which made us aware that there were Premium seats available. Once I boarded the aircraft, I explained our situation to the flight attendants. I specifically explained that my wife was six months pregnant and would likely become increasingly uncomfortable during the nine hour flight. I asked whether, if there were unoccupied Premium seats after takeoff, she might be permitted to move up so that she could be more comfortable. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion for the situation, the flight attendants immediately focused on charging an additional $350 for her to move to Premium. At the time, there appeared to be approximately 6-8 unoccupied Premium seats. I understand that airlines have policies regarding seating and upgrades, but the complete lack of flexibility or consideration for a six month pregnant passenger was extremely disappointing. The flight attendants also pointed out that I had a Premium seat while my wife was seated toward the back. I explained that this was originally a business trip and that my wife had decided to accompany me. They then suggested that I simply switch seats with her which, ironically, was exactly what I had intended to do all along. I had simply hoped that the crew might show some compassion and allow my pregnant wife to sit in one of the clearly available Premium seats if the seats remained empty after takeoff. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Immediately after takeoff, I switched seats with my wife. A short time later, I wanted to check on her because I knew she was becoming increasingly uncomfortable from the swelling and pressure associated with sitting for such a long period of time while pregnant. As I attempted to walk toward the front of the aircraft to check on her, I was stopped by the flight attendants and told that I was not permitted to go to the front. I simply wanted to check on my pregnant wife and make sure she was okay. Rather than showing any understanding, the flight attendants became increasingly stern and unprofessional. I was ultimately given three options: 1. Return to my original seat in the back. 2. Pay an additional $350 to upgrade. 3. If I did not accept either option, they threatened to involve the authorities. I found this response completely disproportionate to the situation. I was simply trying to check on my six month pregnant wife during a nine hour international flight. The situation became even more disturbing a couple of hours later. Because we had left our respective bags at our original seats so that we would not have to repeatedly disturb other passengers, my wife came to the back of the aircraft to check on me and retrieve something from her bag. As soon as she did, a flight attendant yelled at her and ordered her to return to her seat. Shortly afterward, the same flight attendant followed her to her seat and told her that she had better have gotten everything she needed from her bag because she would not be permitted to leave that section of the aircraft for the next eight hours. The flight attendant spoke to my wife in an extremely rude and aggressive manner and threatened that if she got up again, the authorities would meet us at the gate. My wife was so upset by the way she was spoken to and threatened that she began to cry. This was particularly disturbing given that she was six months pregnant and was simply attempting to retrieve an item from her own bag and check on her husband. Her food was also with me in the back, and she was unable to access it even though she was pregnant and hungry. In addition, we couldn't eat the plane food because we keep kosher, so the food was a necessity for her. We were essentially prevented from even checking on or assisting one another because we were seated in different cabin classes. The entire flight crew was made aware of the situation, and I was treated as though I had done something seriously wrong simply for trying to make sure my pregnant wife was okay. I was effectively singled out by the crew for the remainder of the flight. There was also no Wi-Fi available, meaning I could not even message my wife to check on her. This experience was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable. What should have been a straightforward situation involving a pregnant passenger who was becoming

I suggest that you do the same. The airplane was in overall clean condition and the leather seats were very comfortable and functional. The movie and television show selection could've been better but this is a first world problem. The food and beverage service is limited to 1-2 tours per flight so I recommend packing your own bottle of H20 and snacks. Food isn't inclusive and it's best to make your meal purchases in advance. This allows for more choices and ensures availability. I opted for the steak Béarnaise sandwich on my way to Iceland which proved to be far better than I anticipated. Additionally, it was extremely filling and I only ate half essentially making it two meals. For the return flight, I purchased a Margherita pizza and an order of chicken nuggets. The nuggets were terrible - beyond bland and the only condiments they offered were ketchup and mayonnaise. I detest mayo and I think ketchup on chicken is gross so those went to waste. The pizza was edible at best so I wouldn't recommend either. My friend also had the steak sandwich on the initial flight and she opted for the turkey bagel sandwich on the return flight. This accompanied my chicken nuggets.... to the landfill. The flight attendants were much friendlier on the return flight but both flights were enjoyable and the pilots were great. We experienced a lot of turbulence on one of the flights but the pilot did an excellent job of keeping passengers informed. I would fly with Icelandair again and have no problem recommending them. Just be prepared to pay for some extras such as a decent seat and meals or snacks.

I think maybe other than water which they don't "willingly" provide you, you need to purchase every other "fun" drink and menu item. There is also no free in-flight entertainment. I had to make all my reservations online, and that was fine. However, a couple of months before my trip I checked online to make sure our reservation and flight were all fine, and saw that our seats had been changed. This was because, according to them, the aircraft that we were supposed to use was changed to a larger plane. That of course was not a problem. The problem was that we had chosen two seats together, both window and aisle, and now we would have to share the row with someone else. But for the 3.5 hours trip I was able to make that exception. Then, a few days later, I looked again and saw the same thing had happened for the return trip. Once again, no email, no call, no nothing. Well, I didn't like it. I then called to cancel but was told that I would need to do everything online and request my refund online, which I did. The next time I plan a trip to Taipei I will spring the extra bucks for Eva Air or JAL or ANA. I don't like sudden changes, and especially don't like being told on the phone that this is something that everyone should expect! No, it isn't if you fly by any respectable airline! I also don't like surprises sprung on me. China Airlines is cheaper than the other airlines I mentioned, but it is not a budget airline by any means. Here were some of the highlights: - I think they remodeled the inside cabins from the purple look they had before which was great. - The seats, I feel like, are able to extend back a lot more than the seats from other airlines. - I think what surprised me the most was definitely the meals. I do think that out of the two options I feel as if I chose the better one, but the food was actually pretty good. For dinner I had this rice noodle chicken dish and for lunch I had beef and rice. For both of the dishes, the vegetables were pretty tasty and not overly drenched in sauce. Also the flavor profile was on the lighter side and both of the meats were quite tender. However I do still think that they have some things to improve on such as the fact that their usb chargers don't actually work unless you are constantly pressing it at all times. Also, I don't like the headset set up as they don't have a normal input port and so you must use their headsets when you're in economy. But overall, its a lot better experience than I anticipated and will be flying with them more back to Taiwan.
