I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell AgaiN. read more

Horrible customer service! The fact that the reviews are flooded with bot responses to help keep the rating above a 2 speaks volumes. The airline sent a notice saying our flight times changed and if we wanted a full refund we could apply for one. Talked it over and the change totally threw off our plans given we have small children. I went to the site and it kept booting me out. Called customer service to claim my refund and thats when the nightmare began. They said when I went to the website their records indicated I confirmed the reservation change. I explained I did not and wanted a refund. After going back and forth with the rep, he put me on hold and came back that he could process the refund for a fee of $250 .... PER TICKET ... total $1250!!! That was more than a single ticket! I all but blew a gasket and it ended with the rep hanging up on me. I immediately filed a grievance with my credit card company. Also, when I checked in, I found out there allowance for cabin luggage was very limited. I had a backpack and it did not fit their requirements. Another $85 fee. I used Norse Atlantic on a recent trip to Europe. This is a budget airline where anything you need, you'll have to pay. You want to bring carry-on luggage for the overhead compartment? You have to pay. You want to select your seat? you have to pay? You want a meal? You have to pay. You want drinks? You have to pay, including for water. A couple of practical tips: - They don't have an app, so you can't check-in online; you'll have to get the boarding pass in person. - If you want to use the entertainment center, bring your own wired headphones. They don't give out headsets, and if you have a pair of wireless ones you're screwed. They fly from JFK Terminal 7, which is one of the worst terminals in a bad airport. Don't expect many amenities or food/bar choices while you wait at the gate. My trip was uneventful, which is good. You really see how good/bad an airline is when there are problems. Based on other reviews, don't expect much customer support (which unfortunately is now the rule in the industry, unfortunately). read more

Just flew them Premium Economy from JFK to Berlin and back. It was EXCELLENT! We must remember this is a budget airline, so don't expect them to have lemon for your ginger ale. But the value and comfort are tremendous. The seat - the only real thing that's important about a long haul flight, was so comfortable, more of a "business class lite" before most business class had fully-flat seats on long flights. But the seat is MUCH BETTER than anything any US airline flies domestically, by far (except for JetBlue MINT). Much better than their "first class" seats which are awful. Anyway, the attendants were great and even the most was mostly tasty. DRAWBACK: currently they fly out of Terminal 7 at JFK which is a nightmare due to construction which will tear it down and replace it. Had to take a bus from the plane on the tarmac to the terminal, and no UBER pickup! Get ready for a rickety old NYC taxi. But the airline? Flew with these guys again recently entry. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Paid 450 bucks for an upgrade and basically got nothing. Broken seat. No meal available. Asked for refund. There is literally no way at all to ever speak to a human being about any issues that you have. Everything must be done through email which they don't exactly rush to respond to. They refused the refund and told me that none of the amenities supposedly part of the upgrade are actually guaranteed. Of course, they only informed me of that when I was asking for the refund no one told me that beforehand. I am now taking them to small claims Court for the amount of money they owe me. Norse Scam- "Too bad, it's more when you go home! "I had to fly Norse with a tour to Norway that I booked. I sent several emails to Norse and the Tour company, Exoticca to inquire about my luggage, if it had been paid and I received no answers. I brought a small suitcase and a nylon purse which met the requirements LAX-Oslo. On return, I was scammed. The same nylon purse, that fit int he slot was determined not to fit because (get this) the side of the purse touched the metal when it was in??? The Gestapo Dressed Agent who determined this said, "The sides of the purse can't touch anything". This makes no sense as then Norse is saying that a small purse must be two inches smaller when inside of metal thing? I felt as if I was on a hidden camera show, the purse slid in and came out . The female check in person said, "Too bad, it's more when you go home" and inferred that if i wanted to go home, to pay. $250 for a purse and small check in bag.... Have a flight booked for April 10th, got an email today saying we got are rebooked for the 9th? I contacted customer service to see what was going on and they said they contacted us on January 4th to tell us about the change in flight which was false. They also informed us that there is no flight on April 10th which is a lie as that's what we had booked. I really only use Yelp to write positive reviews but my recent experience with Norse has been horrific. Yesterday, prior to flying from Rome to NYC (FCO-JFK), we received an email to arrive to the airport as early as possible due to an Italian workers strike that was taking place at the airport. When we got to the terminal, we waited in line to check in for over two hours. We were pretty patient and understanding, figuring this was not the fault of the airline and that this was due to uncontrollable circumstances. We had no idea what the next 24 hours would look like. Shortly after checking-in, our flight was delayed, but only by one hour. Again, this really didn't effect our group and we were happy to spend the extra time grabbing snacks and hanging out by the gate. Right after we boarded the plane, everyone was informed that we would be sitting at the gate a little longer because only one of the two air conditioning units were working and they were working on fixing the other one. Four hours and 90° later, we were still sitting in the plane at that gate with no answers. People were undressing, all of the safety manuals had become fans and a pregnant woman had fainted and been removed by ambulance. Though many passengers had been begging after hour one to be allowed off the plane, the pilot didn't find it necessary until this point to do so. I will note, however, that all of the flight attendants were extremely patient and accommodating, asking the pilot and above staff for updates so that we could have some information. By the time we were disembarked, the terminal we had originally entered the aircraft on, was closed. At this point, they had to shuttle us by bus from the plane to an open terminal. Once we arrived there, all of the passengers had to go the TSA once more, just so that we had somewhere to sit and wait for the bus back. 30 minutes after going through security, we were informed that the AC was fixed and that we would be able to get on another bus back to the original terminal and board our plane. While our original departure was 6:55pm, it was now 1:00am. I will say, the rest of the flight was smooth sailing. It was a long flight (9 and a half hours) but pretty comfortable and seamless. After landing, U.S. customs took another hour to get through- again, not the airlines fault, but you could imagine our frustration once we got through, assuming we were finally "home free", to find Norse had lost our luggage. Still trying to stay positive, I assured my boyfriend, who had now gone 24 hours without food and had just been on a plane for 15 hours, that everything would be okay. That this happens all the time and once we file our claim, we will be contacted with the information about the bags whereabouts and would be able to have it shipped to us. That was before I found the website below, which is a domain purchased and dedicated to all of Norse's past customers who had their luggage lost by the airline and never saw it again. Like another recent review, I too was on Flight N0401 from FCO to JFK on 9/29. I can confirm it took two hours to check in for this flight and that the line to Norse stretched halfway across the airport, unseen for any other airline in an incredibly busy airport. I can confirm that we were kept on an airplane that reached truly horrible temperatures over the course of four hours and that multiple people experienced varying degrees of distress, including one pregnant individual who was removed and taken by ambulance after losing consciousness. I can confirm that we were disembarked onto a tarmac, taken across the airport, put BACK through security, and herded like cattle from gate to gate until we were finally re-boarded. I can confirm that this flight took off more than 6 hours late after we were repeatedly told by the captain "just another 30 minutes." I can also confirm that Norse has ignored regulation EU-261 regarding compensation for delayed flights, and that they have ignored multiple emails. Absolutely the worst flying experience of my entire life, and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would truly walk to my destination before booking a flight with this airline again. read more

I had a great round trip flight from Miami to London premium economy for about a thousand dollars less than any of the other airlines and since premium economy is their highest level they really treat you like royalty on board! The only issue is that they only fly into London Gatwick airport which is about a 90 minute drive from the center of town.
