LGA has a very renovated Delta gate. Clean modern and lots of charging stations. Beautiful artwork and photos.

Nehal A.

This was my first time flying Delta. It was a wholesome experience both ways. The check in area was clean and modern. All staff members were so jolly and interactive in early morning hours. At the gate, the officer was greeting everyone with entertaining announcements. Flying from NYC and the return flight from Kansas City, both were comfortable rides. Though the seats were little squeezed but loved the benefit of free Wifi. The wifi connection was really good quality. Also they are generous with snacks and sodas. Upon landing, both times luggages were dispatched in short time. After this experience, I could really tell why Delta is #1 airline. Sadly they do not operate from EWR, but if I get a chance again in future, I'll surely be flying with Delta again.

The airport is easy to navigate. The guy at the Delta desk was hard to understand and was very curt when I asked him a question. I didn't appreciate being spoken to that way. If he was nice, I would have given Delta 5 stars.

We had a good experience with Delta Air Lines on our recent trip between LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Living in Atlanta, Delta continues to be our preferred airline. Most of the time now, I just book with Delta without looking at other options. Aside from having a lot of nonstop flights from ATL, I think Delta has set themselves apart from American and United in terms of the entire customer experience. This includes their app and website, Digital ID at security, reliable on-time departures and arrivals, the Sky Club lounges, in-flight amenities, and in-person, online, and phone customer service. They've been doing a great job all around. They've also constantly been improving and rolling out new features (e.g., Delta FlyReady, Delta Sync). We flew Delta Flight DL 467 to LaGuardia and DL 974 to Atlanta. Outbound, our total travel time was only 2 hours 3 minutes, gate to gate. Inbound, 2 hours 21 minutes. Both ways, we flew on Airbus A321-200s. My wife and I were seated in Row 30 outbound and Row 31 inbound, in the back half of the plane. We purchased tickets only 20 days prior to our outbound flight. Each roundtrip ticket cost $416.97 total after taxes, fees, and surcharges. These were "Main (K)" and "Main (T)" seats. Side note: On May 15, 2025, Delta broke "Main" into three options: Main Basic (formerly Basic Economy), Main Classic, and Main Extra. When booking a flight, if these options are available to you, Delta's website clearly lists the advantages/disadvantages and costs of each. You can read more about them here: https://news.delta.com/now-booking-delta-new-product-names-and-travel-experiences-flying-fall We boarded both flights in Zone 5, which is our usual boarding group. Pre-boarding and Zones 1-4 get a special lane. Zone 5 is when most people start to board (it ends at Zone 8 with Main Basic passengers). Usually, we've had no problems finding overhead bin space above our seats. However, for both of these flights, I had to put our roller bags in bins behind our seats. It's such a rare occurrence that I can't remember the last time I had to do that. It's an inconvenience for sure, but it really didn't bother us since it only added a few minutes to our deplaning each time. The flights were comfortable. I enjoyed watching live TV (sports) on the seatback screens and using "free" onboard Wi-Fi "presented by T-Mobile." The Wi-Fi on these two flights was spottier than the free Wi-Fi on other Delta flights I've flown over the past couple years. In 2022, Delta unveiled a new Terminal C and Sky Club at LaGuardia. They're fantastic. For details on those places, see my reviews below: * LaGuardia Airport Terminal C https://www.yelp.com/biz/laguardia-airport-terminal-c-east-elmhurst?hrid=SrQFI6zj3boxNEJUZXWRjg&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) * Delta Sky Club - Terminal C (LGA) https://www.yelp.com/biz/delta-sky-club-terminal-c-queens?hrid=38rGLdUn5_wbkGmWMqQb5Q&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct)

Spend almost 46,000 hard-earned SkyMiles with Delta Airlines...and get literally no perks! Wow!
Katherine K.

After years and years of being a loyal, one-airline-only Delta SkyMiles customer, I am extremely disappointed with them. I mean, y'all, I've been married for almost two decades. So, I know what it's like to be married IRL. You stay with someone, during both the highs and the lows. But after this one, Delta, I'm considering a divorce. Make sure you check the mail because you might get some important legal papers soon. The context: My sweet spouse spent nearly 50,000 SkyMiles - saved since 1991 - on a round trip flight for me (to San Diego from NYC), and when I shared with them (Delta customer service) that I'm extremely ill and might infect other passengers...thus needed to change my flight to even a day later, to avoid contagion...the best they could do was ask for tens of thousands of more SkyMiles. What? I get that it's no longer the height of COVID; and I get that they are trying to run a business. However, companies as giant as Delta, Amazon and Tesla could and should take the higher moral ground. That means going the extra mile (excuse the pun), to care for your most loyal and frequent of customers. So, I am now in a position to board the same flight tomorrow - and even though I'll wear a mask - potentially infect everyone onboard with me...it's either that or cancel my flight. By the way, we upgraded this flight from basic main cabin to main classic cabin, spending tens of thousands of more SkyMiles during that initial, online process; we did that when first booking with Delta. But, apparently, that availed nothing but an assigned seat. An assigned seat? These guys are rip-off artists. I thought I would get more flexibility for this major upgrade. Yes, I have additional travel insurance, but with or without the hassle and expense of third-party insurance, Delta should have a policy in place, to accommodate sick patients AKA customers. This unfair treatment doesn't meet my needs for: humanity, care, courtesy and respect. (I honor that some people might abuse this potential policy, but in that case they could make a log of those who use it on almost every flight or whatever.) While I spent almost an hour on the phone with them, speaking with a customer service rep. who - frankly - didn't know much, and finally speaking with a supervisor, Amanda, whose disposition was professional and more knowledgeable, my needs still weren't met. I asked for some kind of accommodation - any kind of accommodation. Apparently, that is too hard for Delta, since that was not granted. Guess I'll be looking around next time around. Good luck finding a divorce attorney, since I hear that they aren't generally the nicest people. Once a satisfied customer, Katherine

Delta Airlines Broke My Body and Risked My Mother's Life I am writing this review from my couch, where I am essentially trapped because Delta Air Lines left me unable to walk. I need to share what happened so no one else in our community has to suffer like this. Let me be brutally clear: Delta is not a safe airline for people with disabilities or medical conditions. What should have been a simple flight from NYC to Florida turned into a nightmare that has caused lasting physical harm. Here's the breakdown of Delta's failure: THE SETUP: After Delta's own scheduling mess, a flight attendant targeted me. She waited until I was at my seat in the back of the plane to tell me I couldn't have my to-go cup. When I drank it to avoid wasting $16, she immediately stated I was "intoxicated!". At best, she was looking at my disabilities (I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and other conditions) and seeing an excuse to bully me. THE COVER-UP: When I asked for her name, SHE HID HER NAME TAG. Let that sink in. A uniformed Delta employee deliberately broke the rules to avoid being reported. All I could read was that her name started with "Iz". Her coworker named Shipon, backed her up, claiming he "didn't know her name." This is a culture of lying. THE CONSEQUENCES: This is the part that makes me shake with anger. They kicked me off and stranded us at the airport for EIGHT HOURS. For me, the stress caused a brutal arthritis flare. I can no longer walk without a severe limp and agonizing pain in my feet and ankles. My Thanksgiving was destroyed. I've needed 2-hour massages and extra medication just to cope. For my mother, who has severe asthma, the delay was life-threatening. SHE RAN OUT OF HER INHALER. Delta's actions literally put her life in danger. We are now facing massive medical bills and profound emotional distress. I've been forced to file reports with the federal government for discrimination and safety violations. DO NOT GIVE DELTA YOUR MONEY. They will not protect you. They will not be accountable. They will hurt you, hide their names, and leave you to pick up the pieces. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Save yourself. Fly literally anyone else.

Delta owes me nothing.
Letty C.

Delta gives me consistent good customer service, on times flights, and overall great experience. Each and every flight I feel valued as a customer. Booking flights and making changes on the app are easy. Delta owes me nothing.

In my last 3 out of 4 trips I've had cancelled flights or almost 3 hour delays. I had food poisoning from one of the comfort+ meals and the other meals have been served cold. The premium select meal on my recent flight was good and the staff were fantastic.

Nice flight to LGA. Holly, the flight attendant was very nice. She came to some of us passengers and made sure our needs were met.

Ask the Community - Delta Air Lines

How can I speak to a flight representative quickly?

Hi, I just had a quick question. I'm planning to travel from Houston to New York. Will they allow me to travel if I get a negative test? Would I still have to quarantine for 14 days? I haven't been able to find an answer?

Nope- Do your thing.

The baggage situation only made things worse, and the uncertainty over our suitcase added even more stress. We ended up spending our own money on alternate travel just to get home. While weather can't be controlled, communication, organization, and customer service absolutely can--and American Airlines failed in all three. FATTIES AND WOKE LISTEN UP…read more This is my second time flying Spirit and my first time flying it out of LGA. My first time years ago out of EWR was solid and I'm happy to report that they've only improved. Spirit is known for the nickel and dime bait and switch but reading is fundamental and they've seemingly abandoned their most pernicious policies. READ ON to learn how to get the most value of of this airline: They have a product called Spirit First which includes The Big Front Seat. It's the equivalent of a first class domestic seat on legacy airlines. Comes with unlimited free snacks, beverages, and alcohol. The seats are wide and pre-reclined. BUT WAIT - purchase of this experience also comes with a personal item, a carryon, AND one free checked bag. Gone are the days when Spirit would financially ruin you for having a bag that was 1/2 inch too long. I even have a specially sized Spirit duffel from yesteryear that was compliant with their old "underseat" baggage rules. Let it go - we don't need it anymore. They've normalized lol. Anyway no one sits in the BFS because Spirit flights are so cheap in economy class. The flight I took to Chicago would have been under $100 if I stuck to economy. However as I'm fat and value not getting DVT as I cross over the Great Lakes, I sprung for the full GFE. Listen to me: this same itinerary on domestic first class Delta would have cost me $805. On Spirit it was $337. Be cute if you want but there's nothing cuter than saving $500. In LGA, Spirit leaves out of Art deco Terminal A. When we pulled up I actually thought I was in the wrong place - I always thought Terminal A was for decoration lol. But it's the dedicated Spirit terminal. I got from my car to seated by the gate in 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES. Bag drop was a breeze, security was done in an instant, and the gates are 100 paces from security. All of the airport staff and airline employees were super nice. On board the great experience continued. Fat and Woke Stuff: Traveling as a fat flier is so nerve wracking. Small seats, mean passengers, inaccessible everything. However the Big Front Seats restore dignity to the process. Be advised if you may need a seatbelt extender, don't book rows 1 and 3 of the BFS as those have inflatable belts. Spirit has a detailed webpage that explains this so PLEASE READ it before selecting your seats. Spirit had a bad rap in years past because of its money grubbing tactics. I think it maintains one because of how it has democratized cheaper travel esp on shorter routes - and people don't like those that they think do not "deserve" to move about the country or world freely. Let me speak plainly: Too dark and too poor. Notice how whenever there's footage of an in-flight fight or disturbance posted online people are like "MUST BE SPIRIT!" Whole time it's a flight somewhere in western Europe smh. My flight crew was mostly Black and Brown and returning to EWR on the way back, many of the passengers were as well. I dunno about you but being with my people makes me feel safe, seen, and cared for. This airline is an incredible value. The planes are new, staff is friendly, and the BFS rival any of the bigger players in domestic first class. The Spirit infrastructure is much improved too. There were tons of employees by the kiosks ready to assist and the app is simple to use. I will not hesitate to use Spirit First again for my trips to Chicago. Economy class, however, can go to hell. Ain't no way that little bit of seat pitch is safe.

Spirit is a great deal. You will find spirit beat most of the flights on Kayak. So if you find a…read morenonstop flight you will get a great deal. Plus if you're going out of LaGuardia Airport New York City, It's Terminal A and And even though it is an old Terminal and it did not yet go through Construction like the other terminals, I prefer it because it's smaller and there are not long lines and walk to TSA is very short. Spirit Airlines doesn't have the best or most friendly staff but they are getting better because I find that quality of the staff are not as professional or experienced. And the technology at the gates are old. For example they didn't bother to announce that a flight was taking off and due to already delays it was difficult to know what they announced if they announced anything bc it wasn't done over the loudspeaker and it wasn't posted on the screens. The LGA airport Spirit used to have the most rude and disrespectful TSA staff. For example they would yell at you for no reason and holler at you to "stand over there, put your hands up" and talk to you like you were a prisoner who just murdered your son. The attitudes and total bullying was widespread across the board for most of the female TSA staff including managers and thought it was ok to abused customers. So I complained 3x to managers in 2023. And one flight attendant - another female was so rude and yelled at me to close the window and I didn't know why I had to do it so I asked her nicely and she just sucked her teeth and shut it really forcefully in front of me. No manners or respect. And the Gates at Terminal A for Spirit are not cool in summer bc it's jam packed and not enough seats and not good food and not enough bathrooms and not many charge stations. But beyond all this the price of the tickets are pretty amazing so I can't complain esp after they upgraded all the seats to vinyl leather and it was comfy and new. No the seats do not recline but the seats are wide enough and if you buy a comfy first class type seat for $20-$75 depending on the flight, it's huge. Just pack very light and make sure your suitcase is as small as a backpack or you will be charged. See pic for a good guide on what you can count as a personal item for free. And make sure you prepay for a carry on item bc it will be much cheaper when you book the flight. At the gate it will be an added $75 or so. Oh and if you get upgraded to a better seat they have a middle seat blocked w a table. See pic. . I booked one way tickets on spirit in 2024 for $21 per person from Chicago to NYC (ORD to LGA). Can't beat that.

BLUF: Comfortable short-haul international seats; excruciatingly uncomfortable long-haul…read moreinternational seats. We recently took a few Air Canada flights between LaGuardia Airport and Japan. We flew from LaGuardia to Montreal, Montreal to Narita Airport, Haneda Airport to Toronto, and Toronto to LaGuardia. While it's been a several years since I've been on an international flight, I don't recall economy seats as being as uncomfortable as Air Canada's economy seats for our flights between Canada and Japan. I simply couldn't find a position in the seat where I was comfortable enough to fall asleep. By contrast, it's not hard to fall asleep on a New York City subway or bus, even though that isn't recommended these days. The economy seats on the flights between LaGuardia Airport and Canada were much more comfortable. Another issue we encountered was the lack of storage space. Some customers took up more space than allotted, by putting both their carry-on luggage and personal bags into the overhead bins, where the latter was meant to fit underneath the seats. That said, flight attendant service was professional and polite. The international flights to and from Japan (in July 2023, anyway) equip each economy seat with a single-jack headphone socket and an USB-A socket. The short-haul flights to and from Canada equip each economy seat with a dual-jack headphone socket, one USB-A socket, and one USB-C socket. I recommend noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones, and compression socks, especially for long-haul international flights.

I rarely write negative reviews, but after months of correspondence with Air Canada and a complete…read moredenial of any restitution, I believe other travelers deserve to know about my experience. My wife and I were scheduled to travel from LaGuardia to Lyon, France, on April 2, 2026 (Booking BL5Z42). Our itinerary began with Air Canada flight AC8641 from LaGuardia to Montreal. Our trip unraveled almost immediately. We were informed that our flight from LaGuardia to Montreal had been cancelled, and we were given two choices: delay our vacation by a full day or fly to Paris instead and make our own way to Lyon. To avoid losing a day of our trip, we chose the Paris option. Air Canada arranged transportation from LaGuardia to JFK so we could board an Air France flight to Paris. We appreciated that effort. However, the meal vouchers we were given at JFK were not accepted by the airport vendors, leaving us with $97.80 in out-of-pocket meal expenses. Because we arrived in Paris rather than Lyon, we also had to rent a car and drive several hours to reach our destination, adding another $289.38 in unexpected costs. Unfortunately, the return trip was even more frustrating. Before leaving France, we discovered that our return reservation had completely disappeared from Air Canada's system. It required two separate phone calls--each lasting more than two hours--to have our return flights restored. After arriving in Montreal, our connecting flight to LaGuardia was cancelled. We were initially rebooked through Toronto with an overnight delay before working with an airport agent to secure seats on the next available direct flight to LaGuardia. During the trip home, we received 13 separate emails announcing delays, cancellations, seat changes, upgrades, and downgrades. Keeping track of our actual itinerary became nearly impossible. At one point, my wife and I were upgraded to first class. A few minutes later, I was removed from first class and reassigned to the last row of the aircraft in a non-reclining seat while my wife remained in first class. After everything that had already happened, it felt like one more unnecessary frustration. To be fair, every Air Canada employee we dealt with in person was courteous, patient, and genuinely tried to help. My criticism is not directed at the frontline staff. My disappointment is with Air Canada's handling of the situation afterward. The airline ultimately attributed our travel disruption to weather and declined any reimbursement or goodwill compensation. While weather can certainly disrupt air travel, many of the issues we experienced were unrelated to the weather itself: our return reservation disappearing from the system, more than four hours spent on hold to restore it, unusable meal vouchers, repeated itinerary changes, conflicting notifications, and the complete lack of any customer recovery despite documented out-of-pocket expenses. In total, we incurred $387.18 in additional expenses, not including the many hours spent resolving problems that should never have occurred. Travel disruptions happen, and I understand that airlines cannot control the weather. What they can control is how they care for customers when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that is where Air Canada fell well short. What should have been an unforgettable vacation became memorable for all the wrong reasons. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Air Canada and will choose another airline whenever possible.

Entertainment on the screen made the flight seem much shorter, but with our amenity kit and fluffy blanket, we were happy flyers!!! Highly recommend Jet Blue and our two stars!!!
