We drove our 2007 mini cooper in for a diagnostic evaluation that was going to be a 2 hr. process 4 days later we had to call the shop and ask what was going on. Shop mechanics told us they thought it was a sensor, but they weren't sure which one. They quoted us 2 hrs. but gave us a bill for 6 hrs. They also said they had to push the car out of the shop because it wouldn't start. They never offered any other explanation nor did the offer us any assistance getting the car started. We were so upset with no diagnostic answers a 6 hr. Bill and a car that did not run, we finally got the car started, got it home and know nothing more than we did before we took it in. It cost us more than money it cost us our trust in this company. So be very mindful of our situation and be prepared for the lack of confidence you will have for these professionals. read more

I was in dire need of repair for my wife's car. Aaron went above and beyond to help us out and squeeze us in whenever they could. The car was fixed with parts better than OEM. I know where we will be taking our VW to for Maintenance and other work. When I went in the owner was at the front desk and he was friendly and took the time out of his busy schedule to show me exactly what part broke and how it was causing the leak. On a recent trip to Spokane with my wife, our 2005 Mini Cooper S broke down, leaving us stranded on a Sunday afternoon. I did some research on local mechanics in the Spokane area, and called European Autohaus the next morning as soon as they opened. I spoke with the owner, Greg, who told me that they were scheduled two weeks out, but agreed to take a look at my Mini to see what they could do. It turned out that my Mini had lost a crank pulley and wasn't going anywhere without a repair. We ended up having to extend our trip by another night as parts were ordered but they charged a fair price and were extremely accommodating under the circumstances. The owner's wife even gave us a ride from the mechanic's office to our hotel! I am extremely happy with my experience here and if I lived in the area, European Autohaus would have my business everytime. read more

I had a cross threaded/ stripped out drain plug on my BMW, and for over 2 months I was either turned down, or quoted thousands by several shops (including the BMW dealership) before I took my BMW to European auto haus. They squeezed me in as my service was very time sensitive (no one could get the drain plug out, and I was WAY past service), updated me along the way, and were the ONLY shop that I visited (out of quite a few) that was able to actually fix the issue quickly, and for a really great price!! 10/10 would recommend!!! I live a couple hours away, but I would absolutely make the commute again for all things mechanic. I won't take my car anywhere else. My car was There for three months and the only thing wrong with it was the fuel pump needed replaced. they charged Me $150 for a piece of foam they shoved up in my hood latch that fell out in two days anyways... after them having it three month and pretty much did nothing helpful to it to run, I drive away and it broke down 25 minutes down the road. I already spent $2,000+ on their "work" and when I broke down I called them and they instantly told me what was wrong with it(fuel pump!) even though they had just had in for all that time and didn't feel they needed to replace it. I'm a 20 year old girl and they took advantage of me because I'm not knowledgable in car parts And the price of everything. They messed with my timing so I'dbring it back to them. 1,000,001 THANK YOUS TO EUROPEAN AUTO HAUSE!!!! I basically had a possessed Mini Cooper, that had been to two shops prior. Both shops couldn't get past diagnostics, and I ended up shelling out hundreds of dollars for nothing, literally nothing. The mechanics working here we're the only people that could figure out what was wrong with my car. They fixed it in a timely manor and at a REASONABLE PRICE! Every time I talk to anybody, no one ever made me feel dumb or like an inconvenience which was a change of tune from the other mechanics I have been to. Their customer service is wonderful, and their work is thorough. I hope I never have to see them again, and I mean that in the best way but if I do I will know that my car is in great hands, and I will be doing business with great people. I took my first Audi A8 in for diagnostics and was very pleased with the results on how fast Greg and his crew had answers to my problems and what parts need to be replaced after other mechanics gave me excuses on how it would take too long to diagnose and find the problems. Now I own another Audi this time an S8 and again am extremely pleased at how fast Greg called after identifying my problem and had the right part in and the car ready to drive out of there the next day. Let's face it... bringing your car to the shop typically conjures up the same dread as visiting a dentist for a root canal. It's costly and darn painful. Or so I thought, especially with my first ever import. After the precious mini I had purchased just days prior started flashing warning lights and sounding terribly ill, I limped her on into European Auto Haus for a diagnosis, bracing myself for bad news. It never came. The fix was relatively simple, took less than a day to complete and they worked with the dealership I had purchased her from regarding the issue and payment. Everyone I have encountered at European Auto Haus has been informative without making me feel like some dumb girl, professional and courteous. When we spoke about an upcoming service my baby will need in the not too distant future the pricing they provided is totally fair. While I tell them I have no interest in being besties because I'm in there so often for repairs, I definitely don't dread having to visit this shop for repairs like I have others. I highly recommend and will only be using European Auto Haus in the future. Love these peeps! read more

i purchased a 2009 subaru forester with 130000 miles there, and i would never go near that place again. vehicle had many problems that did not show up on the ten minute pre purchase drive. Issues were both electrical with engine light coming on after about 10 miles ( car was sold with no warranty or as is) and mechanical with front suspension and transmission. Have had the car now for about a month and have put 1200 dollars into it and still mechanic has to further fix something to get the check engine light off because with light on car looses the skid control feature, and now the heater will only go to the defrost position. Not good for an 8000 dollar vehicle. the salesman told me i bought the cheapest car on the lot (not true). read more

If you have a European car and want comprehensive automotive service...go no further! This is the best shop east of Seattle and west of Minneapolis, hands down. Greg is incredibly knowledgeable about so many makes and if he doesn't know something about my cars, he finds the info needed. He keeps our cars running perfectly and occasionally has helped in "emergencies" (ie. I just got back from a trip and there is this terrible noise...and I need this car in 2 days!). I have been taking my Mini Cooper to them for service for three years. Each time they have been courteous and very helpful. When repairs were found that were unexpected they explained the problems and provided an accurate and reasonable estimate. They were able to get the parts and get me back in for repairs in a timely manner. Thankfully it has only needed basic maintenance since then. The facility is clean and comfortable for waiting. I had this shop do a pre-purchase inspection on a 86 Porsche 911 I bought last summer. Since I live in Portland, I needed a second opinion before I committed to a purchase. They did a very thorough job and gave me an honest assessment of the car's condition. They were very accommodating, too, as I needed a fairly quick answer on the car's condition. They worked me into their schedule, and got a report back to me quickly. And, they didn't charge me an arm and leg either. Their rate was in line with what other shops were charging for a pre-purchase inspection. Based primarily on their report, I went ahead and bought the car, and I've had no major problems with it since. My experience is that this is an honest, competent shop. If I lived in Spokane, I'd take my Porsche here for service work. read more

They had my mini Cooper for 10 months! Allegedly rebuilt the the head 3- 4 times. No proof supplied. Then told me that I need a new engine. I was without my vehicle for nearly a year. Brought my Euro model M535 here this past summer, after the sunroof cable broke and it was stuck open. The technician got the moon roof closed, but the shop never contacted me with information regarding getting the moon roof fixed. This is one of the downsides to owning a BMW; it is virtually impossible to find a mechanic who is worth the fortune they charge. Looks like I will be fixing this myself. read more

These guys are the best! I drove my Porsche BoxsterS from California and had some minor trouble with the car. Even though they were booked solid they got it in to take a look at it. I was on a very tight schedule so I rented a car an proceeded with my trip while they did the repairs. I had the car shipped home and they were very accommodating about working with me as well as the shipper to get it on the truck. I was really in a bind and they could have totally taken advantage of my situation but they didn't. They completed the repairs thoroughly and for a very reasonable price. I took my 2001 Audi A6 4.2 in after putting new coilovers and a 6sp swap in the car. I initially brought it in for an alignment but added replacing the right side valve cover as well. Since the brake reservoir was removed during the swap and I had only done a quick initial bleed to the brake system I called and asked them to bleed the brakes as well. When I went in to pick up the car I was told they did a brake flush, I didn't protest because the brake system probably needed a flush as it had spent a few years in Seattle and had picked up some moisture in the brake system. The tech had noted on the paperwork the brake pedal still felt soft. I asked if they had cycled the ABS unit during the bleed as this is a requirement for bleeding the brakes in this car. I was assured that they had. I took the car for a test drive and knowing what a brake bleed job feels like when you don't cycle the ABS I immediately returned to the shop and asked to speak with the tech who had performed the brake bleed as I didn't think the ABS was cycled. After being out in the shop for some time the person at the counter returned with Greg, the owner. He asked if the brake reservoir had been removed during the swap which I told him it had been. He then told me that their standard "brake flush" did not include cycling of the ABS unit during bleeding. I'm not sure how this can be since it is called out in the factory service manual as a requirement for ALL brake bleed procedures. I really wish I could find a shop that worked on my car with the same care and attention that I do. I guess this is why I rarely take my car in to repair facilities. Having 4 Audi's sitting in my driveway, none of them will ever make the trip back to European Autohaus, which is sad as they seemed to be the best choice in town.
