I feel this place is a hidden gem for me in U-Village, and is kind of looked over since it's surrounded by so many other restaurants. But it's good to see that buisnesses are starting to become more populated with people, because it was super busy when I was there this time around.
Every single time I have been to Eureka, the food has just been hands down amazing. They have some of the best fries I've ever had, and they also have super solid and delicious burgers! Whenever I swing by, we ALWAYS order the truffle cheese fries. They're the one thing that I always look foward to getting. First, the fries are executed perfectly, because of their crispy and crunchy exterior, and the soft and fluffy interior. Then, they are finished with an amazing, rich, truffle salt, and the scent that the truffle salt produces is heavenly. It's kind of hard to describe the unique scent of truffles, but it's just so luxurious. It also adds a rich umami flavor, and adds a boujee feeling. I mean, if you put truffle on anything at all, it already automatically makes it boujee, right? Anyways, the grated parmesan on top raises the fries to another level as well, and is another one of those ingredients that finish a dish off excellently. However, the real game changer, and the real star of the dish is that white truffle cheese sauce, man. That sauce is one of the best dipping sauces I have ever had. Again with the truffles, but the sauce is so smooth, so silky, and coats the fries perfectly. It's slightly creamy, but very luscious, and also adds a slight umami taste but also a nice rich cheesy flavoring as well. I really can't believe I just wrote this much about some fries, but these fries have so many grwat things going on at once. All the components work in harmony though, and that is why they are so bomb!
Now, onto the burgers. The burgers are also spectacular, and they are definetly in that category of best burgers I have ever had, especially that 28 day-dry aged bone marrow burger. I try to get my hands on that whenever I can because it really is an experience. I do have to note that it is also one of the messiest burgers I have eaten, but I really don't mind just because of how well it was executed. I'm nlt sure where to start, but those brioche buns are toasted to perfection, and I love the coloring on them. Then you have the grilled onion which is a super nice addition, plus a roasted roma tomato which adds a really nice roasty-smoky flavor, and sweetness to a really rich burger. That horseradish mustard aioli is also very luscious and delicious. Finally, the burger patty with that oh-so amazing bome marrow shittake butter. Just listening to that in one sentence gives me chills. When I say that this may be one of the juiciest burgers ever, I mean it, and that is why it is a mess, because all those amazing juices are constantly squirting out and oozing all over your hands. Then when you add that bone marrow spread on top... chefs kiss (and Italian hand emoji). The spread is kind of smoky, yet super buttery and delicate and adds to the experience. It is just insane how good this is, and again how all the components work together. I think it's also kind of funny how I can talk sk much about just these two dishes. The one criticism I do have on the burger is that it is so rich and dense that I feel like it needs some type of fresh element to offset the richness but also to add another element.
Overall, this place provides some amazing food, and pretty good service. I'm not sure if there is much more to say, but I can't wait until the next time I can get my hands on a bone marrow burger and some truffle cheese fries! read more
