My boyfriend decided to bring me and our two young daughters here since he ate once before with his company. The staff was super friendly and it had a great feel to the place, also kids friendly shockingly (cause how nice it was inside) They even brought out a small plate of carrots and oranges to keep the kids happy while they waited for their food, which I thought was very thoughtful. Yet another place I had driven past multiple times but never had the opportunity to stop, this time. I decided to check it out. I'm glad I did, cuz this looks like a cool place to grab a bite to eat or spend in the evening having a whiskey or two or three. The whole staff was super friendly and nice. The lady at the front informed me that they have a whiskey club, where for 85 bucks a month you get a hand curated bottle with high-end whiskey. She told me that most times the bottle is definitely pricier than the $85 fee. If I didn't already have 50 bottles in my bourbon collection, I would have jumped on this in a heartbeat. I did not dine in this time around, so I'll have to judge it on the takeout experience. They have a cool little waiting area that almost has an ultra lounge vibe to it. Super comfy couches and chairs. Great seating area to hang out in. They have great outside seating. Very comfortable with an upgraded feel. They have a water feature and a fire pit and makes for a very nice outdoor dining experience if weather permits. Inside, they have a great bar which looks absolutely well stocked and clean. I will definitely be coming back here for a beer, oral whiskey... Or both. I appreciate the fact that I did not have to wait very long for the food to be prepared. It came out faster than I expected and was packaged perfectly. I ordered the barbecue bacon burger which was absolutely amazing. Super thick burger patty, with bacon, barbecue sauce, and fried onion strips. It was absolutely delicious and very filling. Make sure you upgrade to the truffle fries, as those are worth every penny. Also ordered the fresno burger which came with goat cheese, arugula and a wonderful jam that really accentuated the whole meal. The only issue I run into when getting food to go, especially if it involves french fries is, the warmth of the food can create kind of a steam bath inside of the container that they put it in so the fries lose a little bit of their crispness. The good news was in this case the fries were done so perfectly that they still had some crunch when I got back home. Bottom line? I really enjoyed my experience at Eureka in Henderson. I've been to the location at Fremont, but I do really love the upscale vibe this Henderson location brings. Another visit and another 5 stars. We had a familiar face in Kate who has served us before. Started with the deep fried pickles that are chips not spears so you get the good flavor and they are not mushy like spears can be. So I came here twice in a matter of a week. The first time was for a quick lunch, since it's near work and because I liked the food and ambiance, the second time was NYE dinner with my man. I met up with my co-workers for Happy Hour, and to start, we shared the truffle cheese fries with truffle salt, Parmesan, chives and with white truffle cheese sauce on the side and the nachos with refried beans, chipotle, jalapenos, onions, tomatoes and cilantro. For my main dish, I had half of the Black and Blue Mushroom Burger with blue cheese, mushrooms, whiskey onions, arugula and Calabrian chilli aioli and saved the rest to take home. Having not visited a Eureka location almost 6 years, we weren't sure what to expect from a place we really enjoyed back in California. We popped in for "Hoppy" Hour, and while it was initially pretty quiet, it was nice to chat with the bartenders and GM and take in the comfy vibe while sipping on $6 beers. I was hopeful the beer selection for hoppy hour would have had more stuff I've not tried, there were a few new beers I hadn't had, and I really enjoyed the Maui Brewing Pineapple Wheat. Since food was also discounted during Happy Hour, and we had already enjoyed a few beers on an empty stomach, we jumped on the Fried Pickles, Mac n Cheese Balls and split a Burger. The Mac N Cheese balls were alright, they had a slight spice but it just felt like there were missing something. The Eureka American burger was solid, cooked as requested, and just a tasty no frills burger with decent fries. The star of the show were the Fried Pickles! Holy moly, these were perfect; crunchy well seasoned batter that held up nicely, and a flavorful pickle chip inside with a brine-y punch. Rarely do you get fried pickles that stay together (the pickles love to slide out and leave you with just a batter shell in your hand and a mouth full of pickle), but their batter stayed put and stayed crunchy. These will always be something we order! We finally ended our marathon visit with the Bourbon Barrel Cake which was decadent without being overly sweet, and paired fantastic with The Bruery's Black Tuesday that was on draft. I will say, despite stellar service, nice ambiance, and tasty food, it felt like a long wait for each food item considering how few guests were there. I didn't want to dock a star, but over 15 min for an order of fried pickles, with only two other parties in the restaurant, seemed a little excessive. At least the beers were reasonably priced during happy hour, but something I hope is improved before our next visit. Overall, I feel like this is a good value for happy hour, food quality is great, and feels very hip compared to any other restaurant close by. I give 5 stars for the friendly service we always get, for the ambiance, and the later hours. Unfortunately, the menu has been changed twice since we discovered this place and some items that we liked are no longer available. On top of that, the Protein Bowl (which is still available) has significantly decreased in portion size. I used to crave this dish, but the last 2 times we went, there was barely anything in it, flavorless because there was barely anything it, and I left still hungry. I can understand the recent price increase, but to decrease the portion size in almost half, is definitely not worth it. Im not sure how long this place had opened, but I found it little disappointing on the dish that I had wanted to know what it looked like- there was no pictures. We were here on a Saturday night around 7, seated right away. Started with cocktails: eureka sour & campfire. Both were great! Shared sticky pork belly bites. FIRE!! It was so good we ordered another one. Entrées: spicy chicken sandwich with side of French fries. Their coleslaw is not your typical one. Which honestly it was waaaay better. We saved best for last, their dessert!! I'm not usually a fan of caramel sauce - but this was certainly an exception. Napa chicken sandwich had great flavor and came with fries. Fish tacos were also good but came with fries by default. You have to pay a $3 upcharge to get street corn with them. We started with the pretzels and cheese sauce along with the fried pickles. Both appetizers were good--the pretzels were hot and fluffy, and the breading on the pickles was very crispy. For my main, I ordered the Fish and Chips. The portion was very generous, and the fish had a great crunch on the outside while staying tender inside. I could have used a bit more tartar sauce given how much fish there was, but overall it was a great dish. Instead of the usual fries, the dish came with smashed fingerling potatoes that were pan-crisped, which the server explained ahead of time. They were delicious, and honestly, regular fries might have made the plate feel a little too heavy. Overall, I was really impressed with both the food and the service. FIRST IMPRESSION: open-concept and contemporary. Pops of plant life. Plenty of seating whether regular tables, booths, high-tops, sofas, or patio. A geometric theme is apparent, with the wooden geometric ceiling fixture above the bar serving as the focal point. SERVICE: Danny was personable and funny. He checked on us constantly and gave us suggestions on the menu. THE FOOD: For starters, my table and I had the TRUFFLE CHEESE FRIES and CRISPY GLAZED BRUSSEL SPROUTS. Both were good, but I preferred the latter. I got the JALAPENO EGG BURGER as my main dish and upgraded to the MAC N CHEESE BITES as my side. We saved room for the BOURBON BARREL CAKE, which was rich and decadent. It was pretty busy, but we were still able to sit out on the patio. They have a huge patio that wraps around 2/3 of the building which I love and the entire restaurant just kind of opens up to it, which is so cool. To start, we ordered the mac and cheese balls of course. They were delicious! We gobbled them up. To drink, I ordered the Uncharted Forests. I had NO idea this drink would be like BRIGHT GREEN! LOL! It was awesome! I kept telling my husband I think this might be our new Halloween cocktail ahah. It was sooo tasty I ended up ordering two of them. And we also joked with our server about how bright the color was. Which by the way, our server Sierra was outstanding!!! So personable. I literally think next time I go in there I'm going to ask for her. She did such a great job and was so friendly. My husband ordered the Tipsy Pig Old Fashioned and it came in a pig spout where he had to dump it into the cocktail glass haha. We had the opportunity to check out this Eureka location (the other being downtown). This location is only 3 weeks young, but it's probably going to do quite well. The restaurant is decorated in lines with its price point as a fun place to have a drink and meal with a local swagger. The service was excellent, and everything was very clean as expected for something so new. We tried the chicken wings which were nice and crispy, the Asian chicken salad, very good, and the breakfast burrito. The burrito had a decent crust, and included tater tots inside which gave it a good crunch. Eureka! Another great restaurant to try out. This is their second location, their other being on Fremont Street in the downtown area. They just opened very recently, I'm going to say earlier this year, and I decided to choose this place for our Friday date night. The parking lot out front was packed, so we had to park in the back of the restaurant, where a hotel and an apartment complex are surrounded. We did not have a reservation booked, but we were able to get a table on their very spacious patio, which is bigger than their actual interior. It was such a nice night to sit outside, right before it will begin to stay at 100 degrees even after the sun goes down. It took a while for us to receive service, but that's because they were really busy. Since they've opened recently as well, they're also still trying to work out some of the bells and whistles. Once we were helped out, we started off with some drinks. I had their strawberry lychee cocktail and Kyle had the Atomic Duck from Able Baker Brewing, which is one of his favorite local beers. While the cocktail was on the strong side, it still tasted pretty good. However, the lychee served on top was a little on the sweet side for me. I thought of it as an apple without its' skin. Our appetizer choice was a plate of mac and cheese balls that we shared. When it came out, our waitress told us that something went wrong in the kitchen and that our entire food order (minus our drinks) would be comped, plus the manager came out and gave both of us a $10 gift card that's valid until 12/31/25. So we have until the end of the year to come back here again and use our gift cards! For our entrees, I ordered a plate of al pastor tacos with fries on the side and Kyle ordered a plate of fish and chips. The fish on my tacos were tender and all the toppings included made them even more flavorful. Kyle and I have had real fish and chips before from a real British food restaurant, but he said that these fish and chips were really good. Meeting friends for casual dinner and conversation. Heard that Eureka! Recently opened near us and wanted to give it a try. Party of 6 on a Saturday night so reservations were a must. They honored that request. We got a nice table on the patio (see photo). The menu is loaded with hand held foods and shareables. My wife and I each went with one of the burgers. Enjoyed a nice dinner at Eureka's new location on St Rose with family. I made a reservation through their website as we planned on going during their opening week. I was a bit worried they were going to be busy, however upon arriving and checking in, we saw that the place was not busy at all. You do have the option to choose between indoor or outdoor seating, we just chose to stay inside. Our server was Quintin or Q, and he took great care of us. Server was great. The food did take a little while, but something I kind of expected since they just opened. Price is very reasonable for the food and they do have happy hour as well! I would definitely recommend the Fresno Fig burger and pairing it with their truffle cheese fries. My husband got the 28-Day Dry Aged Bone Marrow Burger and my daughter got their Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. Got a taste of both and both great choices as well. I will say I've here before and the last time here I would have given it 5 stars but tonight was a challenge. The appetizers once again were amazing. We got the pork belly and the pretzel bites and they were very good. The problem happened with one order. Four orders only three came out and no explanation for why it happened. Couldn't find waitress to see what was going on. She did bring it out but by the time the last order came the rest of the table was half way through their food. A heads up would have been nice. We always love coming here. The food is great, drinks are delicious and service is always friendly. I especially like that they immediately bring out orange slices and carrots for your little one upon seating. That is SO helpful and that little extra touch means so much.
