The softball fields are great for running the bases in between games, or flying a kite in the outfield. We tend to come in the evenings when it's cold so we haven't had a chance to use the splash pad but the structures in the area are still available for climbing. There are a good amount of trees to absorb the noise pollution from the traffic on Knott Avenue. Small picnic area is available for a little lunch rendez vous. There is a play area for children - jungle gym, swings. There is also a nice grassy area for you dog lovers and great for t-ball or soccer practice. Basketball court is available for a quick game of horse, one-on-one or larger team play. And there are nets in the basket, for all your nothing-but-net shots. It's always good to get some fresh air and spend time at the park.

How have I not given our local park the Yelp treatment yet??!?…read more Lexington was the answer to Oak Knoll being outgrown, we are a city of recreation and competitive sports, and if you build it, we will use it to its fullest potential. Lexington is proof! This park, at its core, is two large sized football/soccer fields that can be divided up for smaller league kid games. One field is natural grass, the other a composite. The entire park is well lit because of the night games that are played there, which makes for an overall inviting and safe experience - and I never see the park empty, it's always in use. Surrounding the fields are a running track that circles the distance of the park, a large playground area, seating for the parents, oh, a large set of bleachers for the FNL and soccer games. A workout area in the back with a circuit style set of arm/leg machines. Pickleball and basketball courts, a general area with covered seating for picnics and gatherings, and a large parking lot area that, although large, can be found filled on busy days. Overall this is a good park and a great addition to our cities lineup. We come here often to do sports or use their other various facilities. :)

I guess it was the last thing in their budget. All in all, it is a huge upgrade to the city of Cypress and we love walking here and that they have doggy bags for when our pupp finds a couple potty spots.

There are 400+ steps to climb up and down. The steps are made of timber but could be wet and slippery from early morning dew, so I feel that a late morning trek is better when the stairs are dry. On my second visit, I went around 6 PM. Although the stairs are well lit, I just did not feel safe. I found myself alone at one point and looking behind me, checking if someone is coming out of the dark bushes. Maybe it's just me... But overall, if you would like to hit your 10K steps and/or your target heart rate, this is a fun way to go!
