I would like to thank all of the employees at Etheridge Tire center immensely! Usually a trip to the mechanic is a nightmare for me; Due to accessibility issues or employees who do not feel like giving special accommodations to those who may need them. I experienced nothing but respect, I was treated with dignity and so was my mother. A special to Chuck and Freddy for doing just that; accommodating my special-needs due to being in a wheelchair. I very rarely select a five star rating! I am known as a stickler for great work being done right the first time! And honest handshake from an honest man! Hard to find these days!! Thanks again for everything! read more

I was in need of tires and they beat everyone else's price! They were extremely helpful. I was then going to be headed out for a road trip and my car was overheating, they we more than willing to diagnose me last minute. They figured out the problem was something very minor and I was ready to go the next day!! They called me after the diagnoses and explained everything before they begun. I would highly recommend them for all vehicles needs. I will be returning for sure! read more

Nope I don't believe them at all. Been without my car over a month now. read more

Update: I had to get a new car after the old one blew up on me and because I'd had a good experience I brought the new car to Ethridge. The car is used and is a little older so I knew it would likely have a few maintenance issues but wanted to see if there were any major mechanical problems. Chuck gave me a list of repairs the car could use, he then went through the list with me and explained which items were most to least important and even explained why. He also gave a ballpark on how quickly the repairs should be done and of course an estimate on the cost. Every encounter I've had, every person I've dealt with at Ethridge has been enjoyable, I really can't say enough nice things about them and because I don't want to have to go on a wait list to get my car in I'm going to stop saying nice things...can't have too many new customers showing up or I'll never get my car in for work :P First Impression: One of my friends recommended Ethridge when I was looking for a mechanic, I had a pretty good suspicion going in that my car was DOA but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a fuel filter or something silly. Chuck helped me out once the diagnosis came back as fatal. Trustworthy and I'll definitely be using them in the future for any work I need done. Thanks again Chuck! read more

Chuck and his team are knowledgeable and honest. They are busy but do their best to provide timely service. Recommended!

My 2nd time at Ethridge was great. These guys really know their stuff. Going back soon. Thanks guys.

Traveling from Tennessee to Arizona pulling our 27' boat. Air compressor went out on our Yukon as we got to Albuquerque at 3:30 on a Friday, 100 degrees outside ... grumpy mom, dad, and 3 girls. Went to the local GMC dealership and were told maybe the middle of next week to get a hotel. My husband called this place and they said come on. A couple of hours later and we got to resume our vacation. Bless this place! Please bring them your business to help us thank them for saving our vacation time AMAZING service and very friendly! read more

Ethridge Tire Center - Tires Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

As a single mom of several teenage girls, it is VERY important that we have someone we can trust to take care of our vehicles and be honest with us. These guys are it. They have been in business forever (since the 70s, almost as long as I've been "in business") and I won't go anywhere else for repairs and maintenance for our cars. Just this week I took my car in to have them check the brakes and they said they are fine for several more months and didn't charge me. One of the girls has a very old Bronco and the swing bar that holds the spare tire on broke. We can't find the exact part we need so they got it working again (free) and told us where to start looking so we can get that part before it goes completely out. They are honest and helpful and always professional. Go here. DO IT! read more

This business is amazing! Friendliest and knowledgeable car repair fella I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with! We had a blowout and these guys got us in and back in the road in an hour with four newish tires. If I'm ever in NM again and need car work I'll def look them up! read more

Our family has been bringing its cars to Etheridge for decades. They know my elderly mom well and always give her amazing service. I just moved here and yesterday had an acute issue just before leaving for Santa Fe. They took me right away and fixed the problem immediately since it was time sensitive. I don't live in their neighborhood, but I will definitely be using them for car service. Thank you, Etheridge, for the rescue yesterday! read more

Brought my truck in about a year ago because I heard some clicking behind my driver tire. After a quick inspection they said the issue is some air intake BS and a starter. Sounded fishy but it had to be fixed. $1,100 later I pick up the truck take it for a spin and the clicking noise is still there. I take it back in and get a sorry. That's it. I take it to a buddy's father , he jacked it up , he spinned the back tires, heard the clicking, it was a loose u-joint. He tightened it up and wow never another sound. I'm beyond pissed to have been screwed over by them by my so called friends parents. Live and learn but I've learned to never trust them with any of my vehicles ever again. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake I did. read more

I was recommended to come here by a friend of mine and I am so happy I did! The dealership told me I needed my struts replaced and the guys at Ethridge replaced them for about half of what the dealership quoted me! So happy I found this place, I will definitely be giving them my business in the future. read more

I went with my grandmother to see why her steering wheel kept shaking and the honesty and customer service we received was absolutely wonderful! It was a simple fix; the tire pressure was low and the service technician filled them all and replaced them with new caps. There was no fuss and no hassle. What a great experience! I would recommend Ethridge to anyone! read more

I have always been treated.good . Prices were affordable . I'll continue doing business there . Everyone is very helpful . Thank you for the great service.. read more

This is probably the most honest auto repair shop I have ever used! Was recommended by a friend and I can see why. My car was overheating. It needed just some minor repairs and parts to fix it. I could have easily been told it needed a thermostat at a much more costly price. Chuck is extremely friendly and trustworthy. No wonder they have been in business 40+ years and had a lot full of cars people wanted them to repair! Owning an older car, I know that things may need repair in the future. I will never take my car to any other place and will recommend them to everyone!!!! read more

Liars. Told me that BOTH catalytic converters were shot, and that was cause of check-engine light, and predicted $2000 for repair. Took to my real mechanic who said cat converters were not the issue, fixed, and turned off check-engine light (plus did other repairs) all for under $400. I'd give zero (or negative) stars if yelp allowed, which it does not. and it you're considering taking your car to the westside shop- don't bother. I tried that place first and left with the impression that the guy at the front desk, whoever he was, was a smarmy jerk. read more

Thank you for fixing my car! I had the rear brakes fixed and my engine was overheating. After giving a quote for the work, they found the thermostat was bad and replaced it at their own expense. I highly recommend Ethridge Tire Center and the boss, Chuck, was very kind. When you don't know much about cars, finding a good shop with trustworthy people is so important! read more

I went in there because my car temperature gauge made it look like my car was overheating. I was having no issues with my car. It was running fine but the temperature gauge was high. They told me that my water pump was leaking. I never had any puddles underneath my car. When we told this to the guy, he said that the water pump must be leaking on the engine and evaporating. I dont know cars but I know physics. I know things dont drip up. They also told me that my timing belt needed to be replaced and that they would have to remove it to get to the water pump anyways. My timing belt had been replaced about 15000 miles ago. They quoted me $950. Based on my minimal knowledge of cars and physics, I figured they were trying to make a quick buck. I was complaining to my coworkers and one recommended a friend. I took my car to him. He replaced the thermostat and my car is working fine. He did a full inspection and told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my water pump and that my timing belt was in great condition. I definitely wont take my car there again. I would have given it 0 stars but it wouldnt let me. read more

worst service ever! they will string everything out and overcharge from what they estimated, without contacting us first if we wanted to go ahead with the repair.then when we picked up the our vehicle smoke started to release from our engine and noticed they used mechanical tape to clasp hoses together, instead of repairing it correctly. beware and research a better service station. above all, their reps were rude and made it sound like we were being unreasonable with the repairs. finally had to take our vehicle to another service station where they made everything right for less than what we were charged at ethridge. beware and go somewhere else. read more
