In late September 2024, while driving West on Route 40, the wrench icon lit up on our F150. We were on our way home in another state and so were not established with any nearby mechanic. I called all the local Albuquerque Ford dealerships and this was the only place that offered to check the diagnostics that day and had any concern with our safety. Turned out it was likely the stress of towing our boat through a rapid change in altitude. Morgan was super helpful. She was the only one I spoke with who warned us to stop the car immediately if the wrench started flashing. We were in and out in a reasonable timeframe and there was no charge. read more

Service Department is absolutely horrible! Went in on a Saturday morning for an oil change and filter change. Was third in line at 8am when they opened. Returned at 10 am and truck hadn't moved. Was told each oil change takes 1.5 hours. Service tech said she thought we weren't waiting and would call us when it was done. Woman claiming to be the asst. manager said it doesn't matter if we wait or drop the off and leave it, all cars are serviced in order they are dropped off. Got a call at 12pm provided quote for filter replacement and oil change (well over $1200), which I approved. Waited another 1.5 hours and finally decided to go to the dealership, assuming it would be close to being complete. It was not. I was told the mechanic had left for lunch at 12:15 and hadn't returned yet (it was 1:45). Frustrated, I asked to talk to the Service Manager. The same woman said there was no manager, she was the assistant service manager and proceeded to tell lie after lie. First, she said they have to obtain approval before they can proceed with changing out the filters and that they called at 10am and I didn't answer. I was at the dealership at 10am, checking on my truck and it was still parked outside, in line. Then, she proceeded to tell me that since I dropped it off and wasn't waiting, they pull in cars to service for people who are waiting (mind you, this is the same person who told me this morning they go in order regardless or waiting or pick up later). Then she said that it takes 3-4 hours to complete the filter changes, which is why it's not done yet and it's 1:45, how was it going to be done by the time they close at 5pm. Literally every word that came out of her mouth was a lie. How do you stay in business turning away $1200 worth of work??? I own 2 Fords and live in Edgewood and will NEVER return. How can you trust a service department who have employees who are so poorly managed and outright lie like this? read more

This is the second time Rich Ford Edgewood has charged me tons of money and completely screwed up my repair and service. On this occasion my car was supposed to be there one night, but became 1+ week. Wrong part ordered, took forever to receive and the get correct part. If I had been advised of WHAT that problem was I would have cancelled that extra $120 of cost and said never mind with that. Over $740 in charged and I drove out of their parking lot but turned around after only about 30 yards down the street because of problem caused by their lack of QA procedures. Had to leave it AGAIN and drive back a few hours later in dust storm conditions. For the $740 plus I paid, floor wells were not vacuumed, no service paper on the floor, all my radio and temperature settings changed, seat back so far practically in the back seat, and steering wheel so grimy and sticky the nastiness showed up on my hands from driving. This was strike 2 for this incompetent, lazy, half-ass "business" charging New York City prices. The rules of the game are officially changed - 2 strikes is all they get. I'd rather have the inconvenience of driving into ABQ and get good service than anticipate convenience close to home and be so disappointed and so overcharged for crappy repair and service. How in the hell do y'all stay in business ? Oh yeah, it might be the credit card fee ! A small sign that no one will see UNTIL YOU ARE BEGINNING TO PAY states they have a fee for credit card payments. An extra $20 for us. MORE overcharging and inconvenience (and yes, I understand that merchants pay fees to accept credit cards), but mostly I've seen xtra charges from very small businesses, especially with small margin products. No more Edgewood ford business from this household and anyone we talk to. read more

Your Quick Links in Albuquerque is fast and very customer oriented. This one in Edgewood so far is not. I brought my Escape in Monday and I was the first in line and here I am today after being told that the work may not even be done by tomorrow. 3 days plus is not quick! I had the problem diagnosed (scan) by my regular mechanic and he said it would only take an *hour or two but he could not get to it until next week, so I thought going to Rich Ford was a better option since we needed the car for a trip starting on Thursday. boy was I wrong. *For about $300 read more

There's a Rich Ford in Edgewood? Random, I know. It's a small dealership, in a small town. My grandma wanted a new vehicle. She was very specific in her requirements, which resulted in many online searches for my husband and I. We finally found something within her parameters at Rich Ford Edgewood. We called, and talked to a dude named Chris. He was nice enough, didn't know anything about the car other than that they had it. He couldn't say if it was a trade in, or anything else. Grandma decided she wanted to look at it, so we made the drive out. I can't remember the name of the nice man who helped us, maybe it was Frank. He was very kind. Grandma test drove the car, and liked it. She asked for the CarFax, which were provided. She wanted to think about it, and told them she would be back tomorrow with her car for trade if she decided she wanted it. After much discussion, she decided she wanted the car. Neither my husband or I were thrilled about her going back out alone, but we both had work. My husband told her to make sure they switched the tires from having nitrogen in them to having air. We don't live where nitrogen is readily available, and it would make life easier. When she got to the dealership, she was dealing with Chris again. The entire time, she said he seemed to want nothing more than to hurry up. He argued with her about the nitrogen in the tires, which resulted in her calling my husband. My husband asked to talk to Chris, who then argued with him. Eventually, Chris agreed to take care of that. The deal was made. Chris didn't go over the paperwork with my grandmother well, which resulted in her driving ALL the way back out there to ask questions the next day. Whoever she got on the phone couldn't answer her questions. In the end, all is well... but I have to say I wouldn't go out there again. Customer Service matters, no matter who you are dealing with. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the man we dealt with the day we went out. If he had been the salesman, I think this would have gone much more smoothly. read more

I have mixed feelings about my purchase here. My salesman, Ryan, was outstanding. I found the car that I was looking for. It was a fair price. It was used and their asking price was consistent with what it was selling for in town. My problem was with the 'money' guy, Braden. He would not give me a fair price on my trade in. I had a nice, very low mileage, good condition Passat. He did not give me my payoff on it, which was really low. I know that his job is to push as much as he can and take advantage of people, and he did that with me as well. I am dissatisfied in that sense. I should have gotten my payoff amount. So I was on a road trip with a friend driving from Texas to Utah and our car broke down thankfully like a mile away from Rich Ford of Edgewood. By the time we got there, the mechanics had gone home and they were about to close. One of the sales consultants Chris Salazar came out to help us... We were literally stranded and trying to figure out a game plan. Chris gave us all the info he could to help us make the best kind of "informed decision" possible under the circumstances. We ended up leaving my car there... The sales manager Braden drove us on his way home to a hotel in Albuquerque and then they had someone come pick us up the next morning. They got my car in early... Had parts brought in and had us back on the road as fast as possible. These guys LITERALLY went out of their way for us, it was such a blessing! I have never had such service anywhere... We are from out of town but I would recommend this place to ANYONE... They showed us so much kindness and did a great job getting us taken care of in a timely manner. I have had nothing but trouble from Rich Ford Edgewood. Their service department is terrible and their sales staff isn't much better. I bought a used truck from a Mr. Corr and was totally misled on the vehicle. They assured me it was looked over by their mechanic and there were no problems. It broke down 5 weeks later (too late for the lemon law). The mechanic I took it to pointed out things to me that had been wrong with it for longer than a year. My fault for trusting their mechanics but I was totally lied to. This is the 3rd time I've had trouble with Rich Ford. I will NEVER but a vehicle or deal with Rich Ford's service department again. From now on I'll be working with Bob Turner or Don Chalmers ford. read more

New buyers beware. We are a young couple with our first car buying experience. These guys are completely deceitful and crooked - your typical car salesman. They will give you an hour speech about how they aren't like the others, but they are. Very friendly staff though. Bought our very first car there. Within 34 days of purchase we started having major problems with the tires, possibly the axle, and a clicking when accelerating. I took it in and they told us that the clicking we were hearing was "road noise" lol - I'm not an idiot. I know that we shouldn't be having even one problem this soon with a 2012 car that we'd literally JUST purchased. They told us they couldn't "reproduce the sound of the tires" when if they HAD test drove it, they would've seen if you got the car up to 55mph the steering wheel would jerk severely. I legitimately thought we had a flat, but there wasn't one. We looked at the tires and found a large sharp rock in the front right tire. I really feel like Rich Ford took advantage of us being naive about our purchase. We were told the more expensive the car, the less the payments would be. The payments went up. We weren't told we were paying a lot of money (thousands) for things we did not want or need such as UV paint. When I voiced that I didn't want or need UV paint he told us it would be so the bank would finance it. I went along with it strictly because I didn't know any better. By the time everything was said and done (Price started at 11,000) the price had gone up to 20,000. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I plan to be their worst outside representative. . (Follow up: We did a voluntary repossession rather than putting more money we didn't have into this vehicle. We put every dime of our savings into the down payment and yet the monthly payments seemed to go up rather than down. Total rip off.) read more

My wife and I began shopping for a great gas mileage car and found the new Fiesta at a projected 47 mpg to be a very good prospect. More important than the car however was the fact that we were treated as human beings rather than "money sources" by the two salesmen and the sales manager and this, it seems to me (an old time car buyer) is a rarity in the business. Although, because of a sudden onset of medical money diversion, it's not possible for us to buy a car now or in the foreseeable future, we would recommend Rich Ford-Edgewood to anyone who wants a hassle-free car buying experience. But, I have to admit Rich Ford Edgewood turned that around in a BIG way (no small task). They worked hard to earn my trust and my business. I was looking for a newer model used SUV. I gave them a very specific list of makes/models, options and colors that I was after. Not only did they take my wish list seriously, they actually called me when vehicles came in that fit my needs. And, even better, they asked WHY I was after certain features, which allowed them to understand me and what I was really looking for. That led them to suggest I try a vehicle that wasn't on my list and it turned out to be the perfect one! They actually took the time to get to know me and my desired driving experience and creature comforts. I couldn't be happier!
