They always are careful, detail oriented, and efficient. I am not one of those people that loves relaxing at the salon. I am how you say? ANTSY AS HECK. And so I so appreciate their speedy approach. Not to mention they are so accommodating to walk-ins or same-day appointments. I had the pleasure of getting a pedicure with my best gal pals recently and they were as wonderful as I remembered. My pedicurist was an absolute joy. She made me smile the whole time and even asked to see pictures of my husband, and let me tell ya, anyone who gives me an excuse to talk about my favorite subject is a hero in my books. They are definitely practicing social distancing and they required you to wash your hands and wear a mask. They have plexiglass between you and the nail technician. I love the attend to detail David has with my fill and gel polish. I showed him a Pinterest photo and he nailed it! (No pun intended) I rarely get pedicures but he did such a great job on my nails that I splurged for the pedicure. Definitely will be back. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my mother across the street at the local nail salon and she accidentally went to this salon. She told them her name and appointment time with who she was suppose to see and they acted like she was their client rather than being honest and telling her she was at the wrong place. They said people go there all the time thinking it's the other place but clearly they lack integrity to either tell their customers they're at the wrong location or lack organization to actually keep track of appointments. read more

I tried so many places but this one is the best, guys. This place is under new management and I have to say that the new management is amazing. I was greeted by the manager who was friendly. They practice safe precautions for everyone here. They check clients' temperature and give them sanitizer right at the beginning and make sure everyone wear masks. the salon is also very clean and tidy. All tools are cleaned properly and put in the sanitize machine. My nail tech was so friendly and extremely skillful. I got the top pedicure here, which felt like heaven to me. And the most important thing is that they didn't rush at all. I also got dipping powder done for my nails. He helped me pick the color for the design i wanted. My nails came out perfectly perfect. I have never in my life found a place this good before. Would really recommend this salon. Everyone are nice and friendly. The price is also very reasonable which I am surprised. read more

In my opinion they are overpriced and try to charge you for everything (like taking nail polish off) and you have to watch them.. I get pedicures regularly and since moving to Maitland a few years ago have patronized 5 Star. I'm always a walk in and have never waited more than 5 minutes. They have a great selection of colors but I usually stick to my O.P.I. Big Apple Red. Everyone is friendly and professional. The massage chairs alone are worth the trip! My go to nail place in the Orlando area! I expect flawless gel manicures and comfortable regular polish pedicures. 5 start nail has not disappointed me much yet. No place is 100% perfect but my nails have always been clean and fab which is what I'm mostly concerned with. Came here on a recommendation from a friend. I have tried so many nail places and been let down repeatedly. But not here--not yet! I have had 4 gel manicures and regular pedicures here with great lasting results. My gel has lasted 2+ weeks with minimal to no cracks, snags, peeling, bubbles or any of the other common gel woes. I could probably go longer but I hate the look of regrowth so about 2 weeks is when I go for a new polish. I have had a different nail tech every time yet still wonderful results. A few accidentally buffed cuticles on occasion but no major mishaps. I have also had good brow waxes with no problems. Walk in or by appointment. Location is easy to get to but can be hard to find on the back/inner side of the apartment complex. Once you find it the first time it is a real breeze coming back. Other points of interest: -They have a huge selection of gel colors! At least 5 full rings of swatches including OPI and Essie brand. -They use disposable plastic liners in the foot tubs for pedicures (but then rinse the tools they use on you in your soaking water with your feet still in it) -They do have massages chairs -They offer other services including semi permanent eyelash extensions -When it was super crazy monsoon raining and I didn't have an umbrella my nail tech insisted on walking me to my car with a golf umbrella. Love this place! All the technicians always take care of you. The place is clean and very pretty. There are tvs located all around so you can watch while you're getting a mani or pedi or at the drying station. They have a pretty wide range of selection for nail colors including OPI, Essie, China Glaze, etc. I usually just get a regular mani pedi which is $32 and comes with scrub for your legs. One time, my technician convinced me to try the gel mani while I was getting my pedi ($50 total instead of the regular $32) and I was curious to see how much longer a gel mani lasts so why not? I chose one of my favorite polishes (OPI bogota blackberry) and was concerned they wouldn't have the gel version for my mani though. To my surprise, my technician said she had it! It was not only until later on when I was sitting at the nail station that I looked over and saw that they had a huge collection of gel polishes. Of course, then I saw that most of the other customers were getting gel manis as well. Looks like it's a popular choice here and thus why they have such a large collection of different color gel polishes. I've went several times on the weekends either Sunday or Saturday and it was always busy! I'm usually really bad with calling ahead for an appointment but I'll always give them a quick call to see if it's busy before I head out there. I've gotten really lucky these past few times and haven't had to wait. Definitely one of my favorite nail salons in orlando! (And trust me I've tried a handful of different salons). P.s. For some reason when I put the address in my iPhone gps (maps), it never takes me to the right place! The nail salon is within a residential apartment complex just right past rangetsu so don't go as far as where the app tells you to. I have only been here once so far, but I plan on this place being my go to for sure! The place is located underneath the Village of Lake Lilly apartments in a great space towards the back of the building. The facility is clean, nice, and very spacious for a nail salon! The techs who helped me were great, very friendly, and did a wonderful job. They have great massage chairs, a huge selection of OPI and Essie nail polish, and even had a plastic liner in the foot tubs for pedicures (everything seemed very clean and sanitary). My pedicure has lasted 2+ weeks and I got the standard manicure and pedicure, which was very reasonably priced at $35, and was very pleased with the results. Great location, parking can be a little tricky at times. Not impressed with the nail polish selection or quality but that's pretty typical these days, all nail salons want you to get gel so they don't keep up with the regular polishes. I did like my nails but felt as though my tech rushed a bit, again, pretty typical with most nail salons. The clear coat did peel on all nails but I suspect that is just from them using a cheaper polish. I was able to use my OPI clear coat at home to fix them up. Overall a decent experience, I am still searching for that "great" nail salon..... 3.5 stars is most accurate. read more

So I am pretty picky about my nail salons. I rate them in importance cleanliness, application, relaxation, friendliness. I give it a high mark on all of these. It would be nice is there was more gelish and shellac, But they are prompt, affordable and well staffed so you can get in. It's also nice they can give you a beverage and the location is central. Hit or miss. The first two times I've been here, I loved it. Both times, I received an excellent gel manicure. The people helping me were very attentive and took care of me right away. Can't say the same for my third visit for a pedicure. As soon as I walked in, a woman I had not seen before asked what I wanted and was also the one who checked me out. She said nothing upon my payment either, just swiped my card, handed me a pen and that was it. Zero customer service. I got a simple pedi and the man who did the pedi, cut my nails way too short and filed them unevenly. He kept looking at the front door while working on my nails. The paint job was subpar. I could have done a better pedicure at home myself (which is why I go to a professional to get it done). Very disappointed that I paid for this, sorry to say that I won't be back for a pedicure there ever again. read more

I visited 5 star last weekend. David did a great job on my nails...but as I was getting my nails done I was looking around. Actually the place was a mess! empty water bottles, cups with straws and no lids sitting around, trash, and many bottles of polish that needed to be returned to shelves, necessary supplies David needed were all over the place laying out on other stations with other junk...the other manicurists not busy sat around talking and laughing instead of cleaning up...one lady(long hair sitting in first station ) tried to open a drawer at her station and couldn't even close it because it was overflowing with junk.... I love David's work but this place has gone downhill cleanliness and neatness wise...even the front sign in desk had junk everywhere and behind it. I think there is new management, but this place needs a thorough cleaning and reorganization or as much as I like David, I won't return. read more
