This is a very cute place with wonderful customer service. They fit me in on the same day when my practitioner was very friendly. I had a great time chatting with them throughout. Unfortunately, at the end of my wax, I was left covered in baby powder, usually I'm cleaned up but on top of that there was still bits of wax and hairs all over me. I pointed this out to them. They went back in and remove the hair from the areas that I pointed out. It wasn't until I arrived home and showered, and then the next day I noticed so many areas were missed. I've put off writing this review for a few weeks because my practitioner was so nice and I had a great time chatting with them. But the actual attention to detail wax was very disappointing. I may return and try a different practitioner someday. This was a wildly different experience from my previous waxers, and unfortunately not in a positive way. The lack of attention to details so frustrating, especially now I have to go home and be raising hair on my own after paying for it to be done. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of two or three is because they are very friendly accommodating there. And I'm sure if I had called the next day to go back they would've made space for me to come in. It felt like a very professional place. The ladies are super friendly and professional. I mean seriously they are all pros. I have had my waxes done by Anastasia and Claudia and both were excellent. Today I went for a facial. I used to get facials done more often but life and time got in the way. Let me just say that from the start to finish everything was great. The product line they use is Image. I read some really good reviews about the line and look forward to using some of the other products they offer. I've been here before and had great experiences. However I hadn't been in a while and it was my first time back recently. The room they brought me in (first time in this particular room) was dirty in every way especially the thing you lay on and that alone should've told me something. ANASTASIA was my waxer and she was so EXTREMELY rough. Did huge sections and left me with a ton of broken and ingrown hairs as well has painful bumps as a result of her digging tweezers into my skin acting in complete incompetence. My bikini and vaginal area looks worse than it ever has. I took the experience for what it was at the time and still tipped 20%. but a week later I am truly seeing the disaster she left that will take months if not years to heal and rectify. This was was a horrible fucking experience. I will NEVER be returning here again. read more

I got my first Brazilian wax with Claudia. She did a great job and made me feel incredibly comfortable despite the compromising position I was in. She was very thorough and explained what she was going to do each step of the way. She uses a hard wax instead of the soft wax with strips that most other places use. I believe this made a big difference in the amount of pain I experienced and my skin's ability to recover from the waxing. After my second waxing with her I am happy to say that the waxing, although not pain free, was much easier to tolerate. I highly recommend her. I received a deep Brazilian wax with Anastasia yesterday afternoon and it was just about as lovely an experience as this uncomfortable necessity can be! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the receptionist's service. I am very scared when it comes to this and really freak myself out. This conversation only made it worse: Receptionist: it's usually $50 but because you're getting it with her (nodding toward Anastasia) it'll be $25. Me: okay...why does it matter that its her? Receptionist: because she's new. I almost walked out at that point and probably should have because the fear and anxiety was overpowering me haha but I stayed and am glad I did! Anastasia has a great personality, good humor, very patient with a scaredy cat like me. She's only been there a month but knows what she's doing and is so sweet and really cares about my look. I made an appointment in 6 weeks to see her again and I am glad to have found someone who I can trust and who will put up with my shenanigans. The location is a bit hidden but it's in beautiful Winter Park and I enjoyed my afternoon there. The place has no decorations really and I really wish places focused on beauty would have the receptionists look like they care about their clothes and hair or makeup, but what really matters to me is cleanliness and what happens in that waxing room and I was super pleased. This place is located in the Brandwine plaza in winter park. Its on the 2nd floor in a corner, so its not easily viewed from the outside. Claudia did my service for me and she was wonderful. She knows what she's doing and made the experience quick. A lot quicker than I thought it would have been which is a super plus. Speed is definitely important when it comes to waxing and you definitely don't want to be there longer than you need to! They do have a special where if you come back in a certain time frame to do your next service, there is a discount. Which so happens to be a great deal comparing to other surrounding businesses. Amazing! I was terrified to the point nausea for my first Brazilian, but Maria was able to put me right at ease. The salon is cute and clean with a friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. I have nothing to compare the experience to personally, but I had heard from girlfriends that it takes 20 minutes for the pain to subside. This was not the case for me. The pain lasted only as long as took to rip the wax off, then I was good to go! I was in yesterday for my first full leg, Brazilian, and underarm wax. I of course have had my eyebrows and lip waxed but I am going on a cruise and decided I didn't want to try and shave in those tiny little showers nor spend precious minutes of my vacation shaving all that surface area. Lol. While waiting for my hair to grow to the proper length, I researched where to get my waxing done and all the reviews for Absolute Body were glowing. So even though I live in Tavares and had an hour drive, I decided it was worth it. Yesterday my appointment was with Simmonne. I told her it was my first time getting a Brazilian and a full leg and underarm. She was very understanding, patient, pleasant, and she put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable. As comfortable as one can in such a compromising position. ;-) With a Brazilian, you get quite familiar with your esthetician! She was great. She has 14 years of experience and she is able to wax you quickly and efficiently with as little pain as possible. There was hardly any pain at all...only a few spots as you can imagine where they are and as soon as the wax is off the pain is gone. only a few seconds of a mild inconvenience. I have already made my follow up appointment with Simmonne for the same service and added a facial! The staff are all courteous and the spa is located in the winter park brandy wine downtown area. I love this place! Other than eyebrow waxing at hair salons, I don't have that much experience with getting waxes. I found this place through Yelp and decided to give it a shot. They're very accommodating with their schedule so I was able to set an appointment within a couple days of contacting them. Anastasia took care of me and she's is amazing! She's very thorough and patient and just an overall awesome person. She even convinced me to get a bikini wax during one of my appointments, which I was terrified of, but she was so honest with me about the pain and discomfort that I decided to trust her and go ahead with it.
