I worked nearby, I go etc a lot because it is very convenient. I bought instant udon with sushi today and back to work. The udon tasted weird so I checked the expiration date. It was expired more than 6 months ago. I took it to the etc right away and told them it's expired half year ago and taste bad. They were like "ok, here's your money back". No one even said sorry. They don't care what they are selling to people. read more

This place is a great place for eating, but and I sat but. I have lost an item and none of the workers decided to put it away as a lost item. Spoke with the incompetent manger and he just laughed like someone gave him a joke. I work for the city health dept and filed a complaint as some workers were not wearing gloves. I also making a complaint against the store as my item I left by mistake was thrown out and not given to lost and found. I hope this helps change some policies in the store. read more

Great selection, food is always satisfying. Why do they still serve plastic bags and plastic utensils?? Not environmentally friendly at all.

The food is good but the new girl they have working the breakfast bar the Asian one (i have to indicate which one because they also have a Spanish one there too whos actually amazing) is EXTREMELY rude. They used to have a totally different staff working there a young man named Danny and a couple of other guys who were all so personable and made mine and my coworkers visit there so delightful. I usedto love going to etc. But this new girl there is disgusting with her bad attitude, she hates her job there and it shows. She messes up my order continuously, and when I asked her a question (that she clearly heard) she just walked away. I work at the Empire State Building so it was convenient to go to ETC. But not one good morning, not one smile she gives nothing. We really miss the warm welcome etc usedto provide I will not be going there anymore and apparently my coworkers feel the same. Such a shame. read more

The selection of food is amazing! However, we witnessed one of the managers grab an associate and shove her into the candy area of the store. She was then told to stay there and not move, this made the visit very uncomfortable. Leaving us wondering how respected members of their team are treated. read more

This place is pretty cool. There's a lot to try so I hasn't tried it all but had some dumplings and sushi and they were good,l. There's a whole hot and food cold bar and you can get all sorts of things made for you like toasts or breakfast sandwiches, it's cool. They have a whole area to sit upstairs as well and a pretty fun candy selection. read more

Walking down the street to find a breakfast sandwich and came upon this bright and clean corner place. The life size Ironman and Batman characters first drew me in. This place has an extensive but not overwhelming selection of breakfast and lunch menu items on one end and a separate section for an all asian menu that I didn't see at first. I would love to try my next time around as my mind was set on getting a sausage egg and cheese on a roll this morning which I got 4 of. The sandwiches were great of course. We didn't have masks on and this place requires a mask which we didn't mind at all so I asked if I can just place the order and we'll wait outside but the awesome cashier just gave us a couple which enabled me to explore the place. They even have a small stationary, toy section as well! I couldn't explore too much because the sandwiches were ready within less than 5 minutes I think and $20 for 4 sandwiches? Where the hell would you find prices like this in the city??? Awesome deal, awesome food, great people, safety and health conscious, I hope this place is here to stay. Will definitely be going back. I can't believe someone gave a bad review because they charge $0.05 for a bag, I mean come on really??? It's unbelievable during these hard times for businesses that some people can be so inconsiderate... we need to support our local economy the best way we can! read more

THEY'D BE SENT HOME ON THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW The buffet offers a lot of variety. Some of it's tasty; the fried calamari is my favorite and the sesame chicken is a good treat. Other things are pretty bad; the BBQ chicken is impossible to actually take a bite out of. Same with the fried chicken. But don't touch the packaged desserts. I got something that was labeled a Napoleon. I couldn't get my fork through the 'pastry' and the 'custard' was almost curdled and was gummy. This is New York City, is it not? How do you not have a patisserie or baker that knows what can be put on the shelf and what cannot. FAIL read more

For the past few months, my whole office has been ordering lunch from ETC and We spend around $150 everyday. Last week, I ordered a shrimp fiesta and when I got the delivery they gave me chicken instead. (This is not the first time) I called them back to complain to them that they gave me the wrong order and the worker on the phone rudely told me that ETC. will make me a new shrimp fiesta but would like for me to "return" the chicken bowl. I was taken back by her telling me that I had to return a bowl that they made a mistake on. If anyone who works a busy schedule knows there is a specific time given for lunch. Although I called about my disappointment, I still ate my chicken fiesta because of time constraint. 30 mins later, I recieved my shrimp bowl and my lunch time was already over. And Since it was a Friday, I just let this situation go. Today, my staff was attempting to order from ETC again . (Letting go of what happened the last time) and they told me that ETC. refused to deliver to our office. This is highly unprofessional of ETC. I called their manager to find out what the reason was and he simply said "my boss just doesn't want to deliver to your office." What kind of business is this?? Is this some form of discrimination or just petty unprofessionalism? The owner & manager reacted so rudely to me and my staff and now I understand why their store is empty most of the time... If you ever receive the wrong order from them, don't complain if you want to get rejected like my office did Mr.ETC, Goodluck. read more

I just love this place. Breakfast buffet, amazing coffee & amazing stuff highly recommended. I've been there more times than I can count and will continue to go back. read more

This place is really nice, many options of foods to pick from. The upstairs has seatings too, its just it gets too crowded and not many places for everyone. But the buffet is great , from fish to all kinds of meats , even though some meats do not taste as fresh/good though. read more

It has become my favourite eat place in NYC. It is not the most delicious but at this price tag? It is!!

Been here quite a few times with my service dog. Never had an issue. However today, I was stopped to ask for paperwork for my dog. First off, it's illegal to retain those documents from an owner. Secondly, I've seen this employee many times before WITH my dog and I wasn't approached. If you're going to instill restrictions, follow through with them. read more

Horrible staff service. The food tasted so bad. Do NOT GET THEIR RAMEN. The noodles are sticky and were uncooked. Their bibimbap was okay. The buffet selection was wide and full of variety. read more

Extremely good food Very spot on! when it come to options in the serving table Definitely a place to get lost and dream of food read more

The food is fresh and excellent here, much better than Bread and Butter down the block. Even the fruit, salad bar and hot food/ cold food bar is excellent. The soup selection is great too. I only gave 4 starts because unfortunately the split pea soup is always a little too salty. It would be great if it had less salt. read more

This place has all, period. If you are the type to hesitate on which food you would like to get, this should be your must-go place. They have variety of food within their buffet stations and the food quality is incomparable from other delis. The food is always very fresh and aside from other places that serve the same food for years, this place keeps a few dish very solid and change some types of buffet food from time to time. I don't know if this was caused by complaining customers, but this is definitely a good thing for me. They have packaged products that I did not even heard of which is also positive even though I do not buy them. I will try to have new packages tried out sometimes. They also have draft beers so people who work around here like myself can easily go grab a couple glasses after or during work :) read more

I would love to write about how awesome this place is compared to other overcrowded, overpriced cafeteria style eateries in NYC, but alas, this is the only one I've been in that routinely stocks expired refrigerated food. Watch out if you're trying to grab a quick yogurt, guac, or hummus pack. Heck, even the drinks are expired. They're too new for this level of disgusting. read more

My go to spot whenever I'm in the area. Love the shrimp linguini. One star off for the crazy prices on a lot of things.

I've come here for breakfast and lunch frequently for the past few years. This location is very convenient and the service is fast. The taste of the food has been good too. Their avocado toast is just delicious. I've ordered this from another deli a few blocks away and it could not compare. The beef bulgogi with rice is really good too. If I'm in a rush, the breakfast or lunch buffet is sufficiently good with a wide variety of choices. Even though they are busy, the cashiers and the servers behind the counter are friendly. There is an Asian man with tattoos on his arms that I have seen keeping the buffet area clean during lunch time. He even nicely offered a mask to a customer to ensure he complied with the Covid regulations. Near the front of the store, there is always something interesting and new. I have seen unique things such seasonal large holiday tins of Kit Kat and Japanese green tea flavored Oreos throughout the store. If you were just to browse around, there are a lot of cool impulse items. Just be aware that the prices are high due to the location. read more

This is a great place! Affordable food in the heart of Midtown. Wonderful hot vegetable selections and cold salads. Lots of prepared foods you can take with you. Including lots of sushi and poke options. There's even a bar with wine and beer and an afternoon happy hour. I ate here three times during a five-day stay. It is open 24 hours a day seven days a week. So glad this was near my hotel - the Langham. The first night I was here I got takeout at Whole Foods and while it was good, it was more expensive. This is every bit as good. read more

cool place, overpriced, they're never open, never display the correct hours online. not worth going if its just going to be closed

This place looks great. After you've visited a few times, you start noticing things. The managers lurking around, greeting you only with stares, no smiles or hellos. The staff mostly carry the same uninviting charisma. I also noticed that I had been charged different prices for the same sandwich on 3 different occasions. The hot/cold stations don't list any prices per lb. Everyone seems a bit lost. Maybe they're in over their heads. The quality of the food isn't bad, just not great. And every time I convince myself to go back, I always leave with the feeling of regret. Also their coffee sucks. read more

The food and drink quality is excellent. I love the prepackaged sandwiches and the fact that you can get a beer or wine on tap. My one complaint is that the upstairs dining area is small and I wish they'd let the basement dining open for longer hours. read more

Really good place for eating with the good prices in the center of the nyc. I always go there, and all times food is so delicious. The big plus of this place - there is no big queus. Highly recommend! read more

I've gotten the Impossible Burger a few times and some breakfast stuff. It's all been good but maybe a little over priced. The problem is they often mix up my order and give me a beef burger, which I don't eat. I got the vegan burger once which is like a black bean burger or something. They gave me real beef instead. I returned it. Second time I had ordered the Impossible Burger. They gave me real beef and when I returned it they initially told me I was wrong. There are clear differences between beef and Impossible. It took me way too long to convince them it was real beef. I should have learned my lesson then but today the same thing happened. I had a clean streak of getting the Impossible twice without issue but today I got a real beef burger. I just put it on the counter and left. I hate wasting life like that but I was too mad at the laziness of it all. The guy that made it even confirmed with me that I had ordered the Impossible Burger before handing it to me. The staff obviously doesn't care about your dietary choices. Vegetarian diners beware - double check your Impossible Burger before taking a bite. The staff is lazy. read more

If I could give this place (-) zero stars I would. Today, I went in there for the first time for a Cobb Salad which is a standard salad listed on their menu over the salad bar. When I brought the salad back to my office for lunch it was the most disgusting salad ever! First, it was doused in Bleu Cheese dressing which we all know as being very thick and then the bacon was cut into chunks that were inedible. There was no turkey whatsoever. When I showed it to my coworker she said I should bring it back, which I decided to do. I went over to the register from which I paid for it and explained the situation too the girl and she said "oh you have to talk to her boss". Her rude and apparently no mannered boss comes over and is standing on top of me asking me what is the problem. When I explained the salad was doused in dressing and that the bacon is inedible, he tells me I should have known that. I did not know I had to do a kitchen inspection to find out the type of bacon they use, which in all my years, I have never seen this type of bacon before in my life. I told him I wanted my money back and he kept getting in my face telling me why am I calling the salad disgusting over and over!. I told him he apparently needed my money worse than I did and I then proceeded to throw the salad onto the floor. He told me to never come back to his store and that I was disgusting! I told this sick bastard, he would have nothing to worry about. What an UNPROFESSIONAL useless piece of garbage he is! RUN BEFORE YOU GO THERE! read more
