That support has continued now, with a newer-but-not-new PT Cruiser as well. He always saves offending parts to show me what needed repair; he showed me the water that he got out of my fuel filter (never bought THAT gas again); he recommends but does not hard-sell additional work for the future; he takes the time to share with me his diagnostic process and demonstrates deep, deep experience in all areas of repair. I drove down from Puyallup, because the effort was worth having my truck repaired by someone who truly cares about his craft and pays attention to the details. I am extremely pleased with their work. Dealer and independent analysis both said needs a transmission rebuild or replacement. After asking on my social network for suggestions of where to go /check, Brian Withers at A+ was coming up the most. After calling and talking on the phone with several places, I could tell Brian really knew what to do. He suggested a rebuilt transmission with the warranty. His price quote was fixed and complete (over the phone). Everyone else was a floating quote. The dealers was high priced. I had an independent shop suggesting a used transmission but the warranty is almost nothing. Anyway, I think I got great work at a very fair price with A+ Transmission and Brian Withers.
