I had purchased a Groupon for a brow and lip wax from Esty and let me tell you this was the BEST thing I ever did. Jessica is the consumate professional. I was one of those people who always just stopped by one of those nail shops to get my brows waxed whenever I had a chance. I now have a standing appointment because Jessica is that good. Not only do I have my lip and brow done there. She also does my bikini wax now. She's so good at what she does and is reasonably priced. I also love her new Waller St location. read more

I went here after reading all the great reviews. The place is very cute and people are nice but my eyebrow wax really wasn't anything special. Found the result to be same as a $5 nail place can offer. No real "art" to it. Shaping was off. Needless to say I haven't gone back read more

I've been going to Jessica for a while now, mostly for bikini waxes. She is such a pro; never have I felt even the least bit uncomfortable with her. She's a master at draping and does her best to not let you feel so... well... exposed. Due to my refusal to keep paying $60+ for bikini waxes, I searched through Yelp for a better option and came across Jessica. I have not regretted switching one bit, and will continue to go with her for as long as I can. If you're a beginner waxer and are terrified at the thought of your lady bits being exposed, I would highly recommend Esty. The process is quick, painless, and as easy as getting a bikini wax gets. Oh, and the place is super cute. Thinking about doing a facial soon! read more

I bought a Groupon for lip & brow wax from Esty & I am so excited to recommend Jessica's services. She is calming, gentle, self-confident, & professional. Her space is lovely & the neighborhood is charming! Her menu of services is comprehensive & very reasonably priced. I will definitely return. The only reason I rated the experience with 4 stars is that I haven't gotten a facial yet! read more

I found Jessica last year when I needed to find a new person to wax and shape my brows. I have always left with amazing bows. Jessica really listens and works to make sure you get what you want. In my case, it's keeping the brows natural and not too thin. A lot of places will take too much off my brows, trying to make them super thin. Not with Jessica. She listens and then gives you what you want. This past week I needed to get my brows done on short notice and wasn't able to see Jessica so I tried Laureen Bell. Laureen was amazing. I was a bit apprehensive but knew that Jessica wouldn't hire anyone who didn't meet her standards. I had nothing to worry. Laureen shaped and groomed my brows. They were thinner than I was used to but they looked amazing. After a day, I didn't even notice that they are were thinner than usual. They look great and I'm happy that I know I'll get excellent results from either Jessica or Laureen. read more

This business is located in one of Austin's historic homes on the East side right by Franklin's and Blue Dahlia. If that's not reason enough to drop in, then let me tell you about the wax lady I go see - Ella. She does a fantastic job and her work is entirely painless. I think I've landed on hot wax gold, people. It's easy to get an appointment and you're in and out in no time. The place is really chill and calming. I highly recommend you give Esty a try! read more

What can I say, this place is wonderful. Calm, quaint, and in a fabulous old house with lots of charm. Brittany and Elisha are both wonderful estheticians and super knowledgeable about how to keep your skin looking fabulous. I recommend both of them highly. Esty is lucky to have them both on staff. I can't wait to visit Esty again for a massage or facial. Keep up the good work, Team Esty! read more

I went into Esty a few months ago to redeem a certificate I had for an eyebrow waxing. In my 25 years of life, I've never once waxed my eyebrows but figured it was probably about time. Though they've since changed locations, the space was relaxing and Jessica made me feel very comfortable. She walked me through what she was going to do and also gave me tips on how to shape my brows in the future. I enjoyed it so much that I plan to go back again... can't wait to see the new digs! read more

I had a whole week off from work and it wasnt until I got a facial from Shannon that I actually felt I was on vacation. So relaxing! So rejuvenating! So pampered! My skin was glowing and radiating happiness. I have loved every facial that I have received from Shannon because she truly cares about skincare and wellbeing. She makes sure that the entire facial experience is perfect and tailored to exactly what I need-- and it shows. I cannot recommend Shannon enough! read more

great facial and waxing for a great price. Pay in cash and you get 5% off, book your next (monday-thursday) appointment while checking out and get another 5% off. read more

I bought group-ons from here a few months back. I bought two, one as a gift. The giftee didn't want it so I asked Jessica if I could use if for myself. She allowed it and I received 6 very awesome blueberry / pomegranate facials, 10% chemical peel(I think). Jessica was very professional and knowledgeable. I only had one facial before this and enjoyed it but didn't see any benefits from it. I assumed is was a waste of money. Have several light peels within 10 days of each other. When you start a regiment like that your skin totally transforms. After about the 3rd one I had never received so many compliments on my skin. My group-ons are used up but I'm sold. I started shopping around and found that Esty is really reasonable and absolutely worth the money for great skin. read more

Enter the charming little house on Waller Street and you are in for a lovely experience. The staff greeted me warmly and settled me into a private room. Zen music serenaded me quietly in the background while Emily performed her magic on my face. I feel as if I am her only customer of the day, as she answers all my questions and mentions some techniques I might want to try at home. Between the hot and cold sensations and all the massaging, this is one of the best facials I've experienced in a long time. I leave feeling pampered and so relaxed that I don't even care that I will be facing the world today, make up free. read more

It's nice to finally have such a relaxing ( for waxing) spot in the neighborhood to go to. The staff is great and Laureen was awesome! This was my first time and I just did a Eye/Lip combo waxing, but i loved it. I really love when they leave me with eyebrows and not take everything off after stating several times " i like my eyebrows thick..just clean up". Laureen did just that and I will definitely make Etsy my new skin care spot! read more

The girls working for this spa, specially Jessica that so sweetly gave me a discount "just because", could only be described as amazing. Upon entering the beautifully uphostered and furnished building, I was greeted with a big smile by their hostess. The flowers and healthy candles made it me feel in natural heaven. In my home town this girl would make a killing! read more

My friend Janet St. Paul told me about about Esty before the new location on Waller opened. I drove by and immediately loved the convenient location and couldn't wait to book my first appointment. This week I was final able to venture inside. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and the interior of the space peaceful. All the details were taken care of down to the cool glasses used for water. The treatment room was so spacious I couldn't believe it. It was definitely not your typical claustrophobic waxing room. I was so happy with the lip and brow waxing; I'm going back for a facial. Esty...yet another reason to never have to leave the neighborhood! read more

Facial...Like bathing my face in a hot spring full of pureed fruits and veggies. So wonderful. Serene house. Calm lovely souls do their magic. My second time here. Lived up to the first. Their products are vegan, all natural, gluten free, etc. Very responsible and kind. Alicia was my magic muse this last time. Anyone im sure is pretty gentle and skilled. This is the tits. read more

Beautiful and serene, with--surprise, parking right out front! I had an extremely pleasant and comfortable experience even while using a Groupon. I'm going to visit every eight weeks for a mini facial simply because I felt so good when I left. read more

Brittany is the best and you can't beat the prices for the amazing quality of services!!!

Today I got my very first facial ever. I did not know what to expect but I was very comfortable and Ella gave me some really good tips! I will definitely be back! :) read more

I received perhaps the best facial of my life at this studio. Jessica is an absolute pro. The space is beautiful and relaxing. And at $35 a facial, I'll be back for more! read more

I went to Esty for a facial after reading the rave reviews on Yelp, and I'm glad I did. The look and feel of the place made me feel instantly comfortable and Ella was fantastic. She has a very calm demeanor and her holistic approach and advice for my skin care was much appreciated. My skin looked and felt fantastic after my facial! Can't wait to go back! read more

I absolutely adore this place! What a great find in east Austin. I needed a new place for waxing after my office moved and I could no longer make it to the trusty place I'd been going to for years. I've been going here for 6 months for eyebrow and bikini waxes from Ella. She's fantastic! Quick as they come and for the eyebrows has a good eye for style. They use a natural chocolate wax which is always just the right temperature. I suffer terribly from ingrown hairs and since coming here they've been reduced dramatically. It's fairly easy to get an appointment and they're always on time. Two thumbs up! read more

Always had a good experience here when it was time to pamper myself with a men's facial. The environment is quite relaxing, people are friendly, and my face felt great upon leaving. Definitely a step up from the cheaper experiences at Aveda and Avenue Five. read more

Bought a 75 minutes couples massage for the beauski's birthday. Coming from Casulo Hotel, Esty was literally 5 minutes away. Mo & Amy(?) were WONDERFUL masseuses as was Esty's receptionist, a Chicago transplant who we enjoyed chatting with. We were driving in from Houston and I was already super stressed so I didn't specify a particular area to focus on however Mo's pressure was perfect and she worked my knots like nobody's business! I think the beau enjoyed his as he was snoring 15 minutes in. My only regret is not buying a 90 minute massage. We try to get up to Austin often and I think this will be our go to spa. I found Esty through Yelp so kudos to all the other reviewers. Can not wait to try a facial. read more

I recently had my first facial ever! Ella was great!!!! She explained each step of the process and explained what the ingredients were and how'd it feel to a tee. I liked the calming ambiance of the waiting area and that I couldn't hear much going on beyond our room. I had the citrus peel facial. My skin feels so great, I haven't worn make-up in days. read more

My lower back has been bugging me for a week after I tweaked it at the gym. I got a deep tissue massage from Jesus, and it was amazing. My back feels so much better. He also identified some weakness in a few leg muscles and told me that strengthening those would help prevent me from injuring myself again. He definitely knows his stuff. read more

I have been seeing Laureen for about 5 months now, and I could not be more pleased with the level of skill and professionalism she brings to the waxing table. She takes care of my eyebrows and more intimate areas, and Laureen has always put me at ease while reinforcing that I'm making a better choice than resorting to home hair removal. If I am going to consistently pay for something I can do reasonably well at home, I expect a level of service and results that I have consistently gotten at Esty. The services are quick, friendly, mostly painless (I mean, it's going to sting) and worth the price. I am an Esty fan! read more

I looked on yelp reviews and saw that Esty had some good reviews. I wanted to get a facial and extraction for my wedding that was a month after. I was breaking out a lot more than usual and not sure if it was due to stress (planning a wedding is pretty stressful though!) so I decided to book with Alicia for a Hylunia 45min Customized Facial. I haven't really gotten facials and did not know what to get. Alicia was so sweet, helpful, and she took time to examine my face and asked me questions about what I use, past history, and what problems I am experiencing. She then recommended in addition to an extraction/facial, to get a salicylic facial. I'm not gonna lie, that stuff burned my face but in a good way. Alicia was very thorough and had informed me what I was going to experience and guided me throughout the whole process. She took me step by step and checked in with me to see if I was okay and if there was anything I needed. It was relaxing as she massaged my face. She recommended I come back for another one before my wedding. Unfortunately our times didn't work out so I wasn't able to come back to get another facial. I will be coming back though now that everything is settled and the wedding is over. Overall I felt comfortable and welcomed. It's a nice, decorated, and cozy house on Waller Street. They also sell some cute clothes and accessories. I did experience some dryness and peeling for a couple of days (which is expected) but it went away. My face did feel a lot smoother and the acne got better. I was even allowed to wear makeup the next day but I wanted to let my face breathe so I didn't. Appointments are easy to make, you can schedule online and they will show you all the times and staff who are available. The customer service is amazing. The receptionist was so nice and friendly. Thanks Esty! read more

I feel like I've re-discovered a great friend. I just got back from Esty where I had a facial that I had bought through Groupon. The spa is warm, inviting and cozy. Brittany was wonderful, as was the receptionist. I've had lots of facials and many times, I have felt pressured to buy products. Not here. In fact, Brittany suggested some simple things I can do at home that won't cost a dime. I booked my next appointment as I was leaving and I look forward to recommending Esty to lots of folks. Thank you, Esty! read more

Can't believe I have been here four times but still haven't written a review! I had never had a facial until last fall, but since I was prepping for my wedding, I decided to treat myself. My skin has never looked or felt better, and Esty is now my go-to for a little "me" time every few weeks. Jessica, the owner, is an absolute gem. She makes you feel comfortable from the very beginning, talks you through every step of the process, and does AMAZING work. The natural products she uses do wonders for my skin. But she doesn't just stop at skin - she also gives great, sound advice on how nutrition affects appearance. It's clear that Jessica really cares about her clients and wants them to look and feel their best. Give Esty a try, and I guarantee you will be hooked like I am. read more

I've gone to Jess for several facials and she is fantastic. I've gotten facials for years, but I've never had someone take as much time to talk with me about my skin concerns and daily habits that could be contributing to them. We went through my diet all the way to my skin care regimen for a full "inside out" assesment. She was super thorough and professional. My skin felt great when I left and the mini massage left me relaxed and calm. She has great products!! (which are now in my cabinet at home) I enjoy the personalized attention I get when I visit her and will continue to do so as my skin is showing major improvement! read more

Lashes for days!!! In Feb, I was on vacation in Austin and a friend of mine had the most gorgeous eyelashes. After learning that she had eyelash extensions, I had to have them!! I came across this adorable spa and went to Brittany. She is the best!!! I want to bring her out to New York. I have not found anyone who can perfect lash extensions like her. She is the "IT" lash girl!! :) very very very happy!! read more

Love Lacey. She's a great esthetician and I really enjoy her personality. The appointment confirmations and reminders however are a mess. I've been there a couple of times now, and I had to call to confirm my own appointment. I asked scheduling my second appointment for a reminder and when I was told I'd get an email reminder, which I never did, i missed my appointment. Naturally I received a call the day of with a friendly reminder of a $25 cancellation policy. If you're someone with a busy schedule that needs appointment reminders and confirmations, I wouldn't recommend this spa. read more

I am visiting so it was hard to find a salon for bikini waxing that I would trust but the reviews were helpful so I felt at ease. I scheduled via an email and I was emailed pretty quickly by Jessica and she helped set up the appointment on email. This was perfect because I was in meetings all day and didn't have time to pick up phone. Place was pretty and inviting. Nice products on display and everything was clean. Friendly, fast and prices are great. They even called a cab for me. Felt at ease from start to finish, minimal discomfort, and was even recommended an organic product I felt I could actually use. Would come again if I am in town and in need of a little TLC. read more

I came here because of the reviews from Yelp! and I must say you guys were right!!! I L O V E ESTY SKIN STUDIO!!!! I spent my 25th birthday here & every bit of my treatments made me feel like a birthday PRINCESS. I love the knowledge of the staff, the care so much about you and your needs. I had a facial, massage, pedi, and mani. I plan on becoming a regular and returning every year for my birthday. read more

I moved to Austin a little less than a year ago and have been searching (and trying to find time) for a good place to get waxing services. After looking on Yelp for a while I came across Esty! First of all, place itself is so cute. I got waxing services with Lacey and she was wonderful! Super easy to talk to which made the whole process go by quickly. She did an awesome job and everything looked great! Booked my follow up appointment with her. I'm so glad I found a great place! The prices are also super reasonable. Highly recommend it! read more

Saw a deal on yelp and came here for a facial. The facial was great, we talked a few minutes about my concerns, my skin type, etc. and was given recommendations for my skin. The extra attention was great. Wish they would have told me that the recommended masks were going to cost extra, rather than being surprised about it at check out....Boo! read more
