I chose Estrella Roofing for several reasons: A. The project manager,Steven, was the only one, out of 9, I interviewed who said as he walked up my driveway 'looks like you have double layered shingles' which I mentioned to others who either ignored my comment or said they didn't think so. However, it was a fact. B. Steven showed me the Terra Cotta color from Owens Corning i was looking for. C. Steven said they use the ice and water underlay over the entire roof and i'd already expressed that the synthetic underlay i was shown by others seemed insufficient. D. Stevens bid came in slightly higher than the other two i was considering but still under the insurance estimate. F. I was not pressed for payment and was told 50% of what insurance had released upon start of labor (materials were delivered the day before) and the other 50% upon completion. I did not have to pay my deductible until the insurance company released the final payment upon receipt of invoice of completion. The crew was polite and efficient and Steven and the owner Jaun checked in daily and both got on the roof themselves. Two of the reps from different companies did not bother getting on the roof for the estimate. I highly suggest you take the time to interview Estrella Roofing when you need a roofer. I don't review very often but Estrella deserves it. My house needed a new roof and a couple troublesome areas addressed. Out of all the quotes I got, they were the most personable and walked through everything with me and explained how they would address each issue. They also included updates such as getting rid of whirley bird vents and adding flashing to troublesome areas that upgraded the look and function of my roof. Pricing was very reasonable and in the upper median of quotes I received but included more updates and detail than other quotes. Communication was very timely and easy, text messages and emails were immediately replied to. They even helped me through the process of getting a non-stocked designer shingle color without any issue. I asked for a specific week to install in advance and they agreed. They were on time every morning and did an excellent job cleaning up and with the roof. My home looks completely different and I love it. Only 1 year after roofing our house, we decided to install solar. After the install, we found about 30 broken tiles. Since I did not want to loose my warranty, I had Estrella roofing come out to restore my roof after the work. Bart came by and grabbed a tile to try to find a match. He sent an estimate out and the week after accepting the estimate, the guys were on my roof! The tiles on my roof had been discontinued and the purchased tiles were not an exact match, but they staggered them in, so they blend so well with what was there, they cannot be spotted. The solar company tried to replace the broken tiles, but didn't come close. My recommendation is if you are having solar installed, have the pro's repair the roof right! Bart even gave me some extra tiles and will honor the original warranty. Followup service with Estrella is top notch! read more

Juan and his crew did an excellent job installing a complex metal roof at a very reasonable price. We supplied the materials separately and even with delivery problems and delays, Estrella Roofing handled all the unique issues. This is his third job they have done for us in the last 6 years (my son's light weight tile underlayment, my Mother's convential asphalt singles, and now my hidden fastener metal roof) each very different. Clean up, crew communication, no mess, and friendly interaction with Juan and his crew were pluses. Based on my experience, even if he is not the lowest bidder he is worth the consideration. On my Son's house and my metal roof he was lowest, and on my Mother's he was middle, but still worth the extra. After having Estrella Roofing do such a great job on my last residence I of course called them again for the recent house purchase I made. Bart and Adilene again were amazing with their service, communication, and honestly. Bart was able to make it out to inspect my roof within a few days which was extremely needed since I was already in escrow and needed a quote fast. The sellers real estate agency had sent out a different company and I was told the entire roof and underlayment needed to be replaced and it would cost over 10k. After that quote was so high they called another company out who said they could patch it in sections but the quote was still over 7k saying they could not reuse the existing slipped tiles. I'm not a roofer but I know if the tile isn't broken then they can be reattached and used again. Incomes Bart with the honesty. He told me there were sections that needed patching and there were a lot of slipping tiles but the roof overall was in fine condition. Due to this confirmation I went ahead and closed on the house. The Estrella Roofing team was there within a few weeks and repaired everything. I lucked out because a severe storm that destroyed many peoples roofs in The Valley had just passed through two days before. So they were able to repair any damage I may have incurred from that storm as well. A few months after the repair I had solar installed on my roof. In order to proceed your roof has to be in good condition prior to install since they warranty everything. My residence passed the inspection without a single question which further shows the work completed by Estrella was excellent. I cannot recommend this company enough. He and his brother are the principles and are the second generation, he says, in Estrella Roofing. Experience means a lot to me. He did a thorough inspection, provided me with a dozen or so pictures of the problem and recommended an annual roof inspection and cleaning to head off any future problems. My roof is 20 years old. I pulled a copy of his contractors license and asked for and received copies of his liability insurance. Our house was built in the mid-1990's with a concrete tile roof that needed to be replaced. After reviewing several companies we hired Estrella Roofing. As a few others mentioned, their bid wasn't the lowest, but they took their time to explain everything; materials they use, their installation process and their warranty. They estimated it would take about 4-5 days, but finished in 2.5. The crew was super friendly and professional. When they arrived in the morning they got right to work. At the end of each day, they walked around the house picking up debris and used a large magnet to pickup nails and metal pieces. The supervisor contacted us each morning to discuss what to expect for the day. He did the same at the end of the day, letting us know what they accomplished, and the start time for the following day. This level of customer service we greatly appreciated. But wait there's more! They also sent us photos twice a day, showing progress and pointing out areas of concern. Bottom line - you can get roof replacement service for less money but may sacrifice quality of workmanship and materials. We have a had a leak in our roof for several months and three different roofing companies claimed they could repair it, took my money, and within a couple of months the water was coming through again. One of the companies charged me $500, and the very next day water was once again pouring through my ceiling and when I called and emailed them to let them know, they ignored me. Bart came out and inspected the roof, took multiple photos, and then walked me through what the problem was and what it would take to repair (a section of my roof needed to be replaced).
