Came here for dinner last week with my boyfriend. To start, service was slow, and it was not busy, so that was annoying. But as soon as our waitress came over, she was amazing! (Nancy?) was a fabulous waitress. Very attentive, made suggestions, and was funny too! She asked questions about our real lives and actually listened to the answers, we were both pretty impressed. Their food is AMAZING. Went for their special they run on weds and thurs, (a bottle of wine and two entrees for $30 or $35) Worth it and more. Had the chicken mozambique wings for an app, and they were delicious. I had only tried mozambique once before, and this will definitely make me try more. I actually ordered the mozambique dinner too. Both our entrees were delicious, and I couldn't decide on dessert so I ordered two- the rice pudding and the flan and they were sooooo good! Great end to a great meal. Went with my husband and two boys. I had the little necks with chorizo to start and it was very tasty. For dinner I ordered the Portuguese steak plate with Portuguese fries and rice. It was excellent. Huge portion and very tasty. My husband had the baked stuffed shrimp. He said it was very good. My two very picky boys had the kids chicken tenders and actually said they were good. Our waiter was great and very attentive. We went on a Friday night and did not have to wait long for anything. We will be coming here for dinner again soon. read more

I didn't think I could happen but this place has actually gotten better since Phantom Gourmet. The Portuguese steak is cut thicker since the last time I've been. The food and service is still awesome. We all had the Portuguese steak but we had sides of Flaming chourico, little necks and Shrimp Mozambique. Everything was excellent. Excellent! I had called on Wednesday (4/5) after 4pm to place an order of a couple of party platters for a birthday dinner for pick up on Thursday (4/6) for 5pm. Despite the very short notice (sorry!), they were able to accommodate my request. I ordered a half tray of pork and clams and a half tray of rice. I was initially debating on making my own rice at home but it was definitely worth it to order the tray - so much flavor! The seasonings on both dishes were wonderful and the pork was the most tender that I've had of this dish. I hadn't eaten at this restaurant before but we will absolutely be back to try more! read more

We were in there on Saturday night for some Portuguese food with another couple. This was our second time and the food was delicious. My husband had the steak and I had the shrimp Mozambique. Our waitress and the others were very nice. Upon leaving we sat outside on the ledge for a few and then headed to Bristol. A half hour later we got home and I realized I left my wristlet on the ledge of the restaurant! My friend called and the owner said someone had just brought it in. She assured me that she will have it upon reopening Sunday at noon. I went the next day to pick it up and the owner was extremely nice. She even took my wallet home with her! I could not believe every dollar and credit card was in there. I'm forever thankful to the owner and whomever returned the wallet to inside. There ARE still great people in this world. I have been a satisfied customer for many years , but as of lately the service and quality of food has been poor. A few weeks ago they ran out of Portuguese rolls, this week the bread was stale, asked for new bread to get hard stale bread, the Portuguese fries over fried and crisp/crunchy , and then to top it off the creme brule burnt in the center and cold all around - thick not a pudding soft consistency and an attitude given for explaining why it wasn't liked. The worst Portuguese dinner I've had in Fall River/NB area. Terrible service, terrible food quality, just a terrible meal. Frozen chicken tenders used for the Mozambique appetizer, a piece of fish completely overcooked with ice cold veggies for dinner and a Portuguese steak that had more fat than meat. Overcooked, overpriced and understaffed. I cook better at home. (I'm a decent cook.) When I pay someone to cook, they should deliver. This place is honestly just plain out terrible. The food isn't all that bad but the service is HORRIBLE. I just ate here an hour ago and they barely even cooked my food and when I asked them to take it back the manager made a big deal about it and started freaking out saying "do you realize how many people we serve a day and how much of an in-convience that is for us?" and honestly for the first time I didn't leave a tip considering how rude they were. I had high hopes for this place. Phantom Gourmet aside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in recent memory. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday- our anniversary is also around the same time; it looked to have a very romantic atmosphere. We were seated promptly at my reservation time. We ordered the pitcher of white sangria- tasty, but weak. We both ordered the potato-based soup, about twenty minutes later the waitress comes back with my boyfriend's soup, but not mine! She never did come back with mine at all. I let it slide, thinking it was a busy night and I didn't need the extra calories anyway. An hour later, our waitress returned to say "your meal will be out soon. It's the cod, which is one of the longest meals to cook, you know." Um, okay. Subtly blaming us, that's cool! I should point out that NOT ONCE did she refill our water glasses! Over 90 minutes after our arrival, we were finally served. We both had the Grilled Native Cod. The fish was so badly burned that I could barely cut it with a knife. We resorted to scooping out the soft interior from their hard, leathery shells. My BF had the added bonus of discovering there were still BONES in his fillet! How nice! It's a good thing he didn't choke. I was seriously disappointed and wished I asked for a refund, but we just wanted the hell out of there. J and i went here on friday evening and were seated right away. the whole place is very fancy and nice looking. it looks more expensive than it is. we started with the calamari. on recommendation from others, we got the one person portion, which was huge. it came in a really tasty sauce and also a good dipping sauce. j got the stuffed scrod which he inhaled. i got the 3 shrimp dish. my favorite were the stuffed shrimps, so good! then next were the kebab shrimps, also delicious. my least favorite was also really good, the spicy shrimps. both dishes came with Portuguese fries which are thin sliced potatoes, which seem to be pan fried. and they also came with carrots and broccoli which were so fresh and green. everything was so fresh. we got an order of rice pudding to go, but it's what j calls sweet rice, which is thicker than rice pudding. also good. everything left us so full and was yummy. this was my first Portuguese restaurant good and i'd highly recommend this. all of that fresh food and seafood was only about $50 for two people. Forced myself in tonight and was very impressed, boy what I have been missing, oh well, definitely will be going there every week, and if I was to hit the lottery I'd be eating there every night. I visited Estoril with a few girlfriends for dinner before heading to Newport one Friday evening. I must say that I was quite surprised at how fancy this place was. Like most Portuguese restaurants I have visited, this was a very family friendly place where people know each other and continue to go back to again and again. They had all the classics on their menu and we were very excited to start eating... however, at least 45 minutes went by and with an empty bread basket and 2 glasses of wine later were were really wondering what happened to our food ?!? Turns out the cook was working the kitchen solo and really fell behind. The server laughed it off saying that he was lost when this happened. Not the most encouraging response.. needless to say when the food finally arrived, we were starving. The dishes were delicious and the portions were a good size. I would go back to give the service another shot.. what I had tasted good and the server was friendly. My husband, my son and I went for a Father's Day lunch at Estoril. We have heard about it, so we decided to try it. Plus, I was in the mood to eat some good Portuguese food. I made reservations that same day, and Im glad I did, because when we got there, there were a few people waiting to get seated. We were seated pretty quickly and one thing that caught my eye is the decor. To some might be a little dated but to me it added a charm to the place which I really loved. For appetizers I ordered the spicy calamari (it wasn't really spicy, which to me it was good, since my son could actually eat it) and my husband ordered the wings. OH MY GOD. Let me tell you. First the portions were huge! I couldn't even finish the calamari, cuz I really wanted to save some space in my belly for the main course lol Both appetizers were AH-MA-ZING. For our main course, I ordered a medium well Portuguese Steak (steak, topped with a fried egg, Portuguese fries, rice and this brown sauce that was delightful), my husband ordered a steak with broccoli and Portuguese fries and my son had the chicken tenders with french fries. We all loved our food, the portions were also huge. Couldn't finish mine, so I brought it home. One thing that I would suggest, is that they offer kids their drinks in a plastic cup with a lid and straw instead of giving full glass cups. To me is just a matter of safety and plus it's not as messy. However overall, our experience at Estoril was definitely worth 5 stars. Went here for a meal after going to Portugalia marketplace. This really is as good as it gets. The portugese soup was so good we took a quart home. I had the shish kabob which was outstanding. Portions were generous and prices are good - we thought initially they'd made a mistake when we got the check but after checking it, it was correct. I have lived up the street from Estoril for 8 months and this was the first time trying it. AMAZING!! We started off with the littlenecks and it was delicious! I don't even like clams! I had the chicken mozambique and my husband had the shrimp mozambique...both were fabulous! That atmosphere was quiet and nice...I actually felt underdressed as I didnt realized it was a classy joint with tablecloths. But never the less, all around great experience. A little pricy but well worth it..the food is amazing and like I said its classy. The only negatives were the portuguese fries were not very crispy and the veggies seemed slightly overcooked. Estoril Restaurant is definitely the best Portuguese Restaurant in the Fall River and probably the whole southeast area. I can't say I've ever eaten anything that wasn't cooked to perfection. My particular favorites are Calamari and Portuguese style fish and chips with the Portuguese fries. The fish is fresh and there's plenty of it. The sauce is amazing, flavorful and I've never had anything that delicious anywhere. The service is friendly and quick and the food is fresh. I recommend Estoril highly if you're in the area and crave an awesome Portuguese meal!!! read more

Great service and awesome food. Wasn't too expensive. I would te comment this place to anyone. The food was fast coming out and very authentic. I loved the wine they recommended and the seating was very intense. Great for a date or even a family dinner night. The server came out many times to check on us and asked us how the food was many times. Good variety on the menu and although I didn't get desert they sounded appealing. The portions were very good, had enough to take home to enjoy tomorrow. I was very please with how much the staff cared about my visit and even more pleased when the food matched the service. It's hard these days to get the kind of service and quality food you do when you come here. I would come back again and have already recommended this place to my family and friends. I have been coming here for over 10 years and have never been dissatisfied with my experience. The staff is always friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing with a theme that fits the food and the relaxing mood. The music matches the theme which you rarely get anymore because most places nowadays play radio nonsense. The food is incredible; every dish from meat to fish and in between is pleasing to the eye and will please your taste buds. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Had my first steak today at Estoril and it was delicious. It was very tender with a rich, mushroom sauce. I will be returning just for this dish. Me and my husband ate here last night for the first time. Very comfortable place with a little of a fancy look to it. We were promptly greeted and sat at a table tucked away in a corner, which I always prefer. Our server I believe was named heather, she was great! Very personable and attentive, very easy going and nice! I got the shrimp trio, which was baked stuffed shrimp, shrimp Mozambique and shrimp on a skewer with green peppers served with my choice of two sides, I got french fries and rice. My husband got the portuguese steak with rice and portuguese fries. My baked stuffed shrimp was just ok. They put the stuffing over the tail so it wasn't visible, I had to scrape the stuffing off to make sure I didn't eat the shell included lol. The Mozambique was delicious, and I didn't really care for the shrimp skewer because there wasn't much flavor. My husband got a HUGE steak and it was very good. Went yesterday with a Portuguese friend, who said that it wasn't as authentic as other Portuguese restaurants. No octopus, some other salted fish was not available and imitation crab in the paella.
