What a great find with the help of a TikTok post by Laleh Photography. Would never have tried this place otherwise. I knew right away it was going to be good when we walked in because we were the only non-Latino persons in the place (and the whole time we were there). I had the chilaquiles with green salsa, birria beef, sunny side up eggs. It was outstanding. Wife had the waffle dish and she thought it was delicious as well with the fresh fruit and creamy sauce. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for months. I finally made it and it was closed. I was so bummed. The hours are a little tricky unless you come on the weekend because it's not open for dinner during the week. So the weekend it is! I brought some friends and we had at it. We ordered the concha French toast, birria ramen with bao buns, birria tacos, birria mac and cheese and chilaquiles. We shared everything so I could get the true foodie experience. Everything was delicious. The concha French toast is so good. I suggest you get the sauce on the side so you can put it on yourself. This will prevent it from getting soggy. The bao buns that came with the ramen were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and filled with birria meat. Perfect addition to the ramen. I washed it all down with a pineapple Agua Fresca. I was surprised by some of the reviews and am glad I ignored them. The service was great. 2nd time attending. I went on a Saturday around 1:30pm. They were still pretty busy since it was towards the end of their lunch rush. With a family of 3 adults and 1 toddler, we waited around 15 minutes to be seated (understandable since it was the end of the rush hr). Personally I ordered the Steak and Eggs. OMG I loved the steak so much! It was very delicious. I also liked the garlicky bread that came with it. The potatoes were great especially my nephew enjoyed it. Dad really liked the pambazo, thats the reason he made us drive an hr and half away from our house lol. My sister got the quesibbiria tacos, they were so big and she really liked them. We also ordered the concha French Toast which I do not have a picture of because it was not good this time around. Unfortunately they did not cook it well enough as it was still super soggy like when u dip it in the egg. This caused it ro taste too eggy. This one is hard for me to recommend as the 1st time we went it was sooo good n cooked to perfection n this second time not at all good. If you have a toddler i recommend you maybe get the stek and egg my nephew ate my egg and potatoes. While i really enjoyed the steak lol Now for us, family that does not drink sweet/sugury stuff n we also dont add too much salt. The pambazo was a little salty. The Horchata was overly sweet. Like it takes a while to be seated, get your food and from how busy it is the waitress hardly has time for you. This will make people feel more welcomed and the customers as well as the host not overwhelmed. When I went in, the guy was checking people out and sweating and seems so stressed. Just like in any restaurant, the waitress should be the one checking people out. Also at least 1 more waitresses needs to be hired. I notice many comment saying you guys are super nice, which you are, but there is no customer service from the waitresses. Such as do you need anything else? do you need a refill? Its the small things that count. Its not about making a client #1, its about making a client feel like they are all a priority. Very disappointing. Social media hyped this place up. Came here for my husbands birthday. 7:30 right when they opened. They were not ready. Had to wait 30 minutes on basic coffee. My husband's pancakes had hair in them. They took them back and made a fresh batch, we were not charged for them. Then my steak and eggs were the only food ready while the other food was still going to take 15 minutes, well it took longer than that. After so much wait time, the food finally started coming out, but so cold. Awful! Would never come again. Our waitress was very nice. A strip mall surprise! Estilo Azteca is a delightful family business where you can have a much more authentic Mexican meal than what is usually served up in restaurants, and although it's small and has more of a fast food vibe than a restaurant, the murals and dinnerware lift it up a notch. I started with a refreshing piña drink rimmed with tangy tajín (chili lime salt), and 3 Quesabirria Tacos which were superb as the homemade tortillas were stuffed and then grilled and served with birria broth which was so rich and flavorful. The Birria Mac and Cheese which was stuffed shells instead of usual small macaroni so that was a pleasant change. The Huarache (named for that style of sandal) has a "sole" at the bottom which is masa dough grilled and lightly fried in an elongated shape that is then topped with beans and al pastor, lettuce, crema, queso fresco and salsa. And although all the food was flavorful, fresh, and on beautiful plates that added to the experience, I liked my choice the best. It was the Mini Trompo which was al pastor (grilled marinated pork in this case) with rice, tortillas--cutely rolled, grilled pineapple, onions, cilantro, limes. The barbeque grill flavor complemented the marinade perfectly. It was a colorful feast for the eyes too. I really enjoyed this place, but the servers weren't particularly attentive or informative, and I had plenty of questions since these were not the ordinary choices seen at most MX places, but I could see they were all really hopping so I don't want to drop them down a star in the rating. Takes a while to get your food . When food arrived it was semi warm. The cafe de Hoya was watered down. Chilaquiles were decent the huaraches de al pastor was good . Shrimp tacos were ok. The steak and potatoes were really good . The agua frescas were good also. I thought it was good. Huarache - This dish comes loaded up with your choice of Asada or Pastor, topped off with all the fixings, beans and salsa. Solid order. Mini Trompo - Served more like a skewer, this Al Pastor was served up with some fresh, handmade Tortillas and a side of Rice which were both bomb It was good, you put together your own tacos, a little on the salty side for me but worth the order. Concha French Toast - Soooo, this shit was hella good haha, literally 3 fresh Conchas served up French Toast style loaded up with fresh Berries, Lechera and Powdered Sugar. Smackalicious!! For real. Must order for me. Agua de Pina & Horchata - Both really good, I like the Pina better, was just more refreshing, the Horchata is obviously on the sweeter side. QuesaBirria Tacos - One of my favorite orders. 3 huge Tacos stuffed with Cheese, Birria, Onions, Cilantro and served with a side of Broth. Flames for real. Pambazo - Another favorite of mine, I recently had my first on my last trip to Mexico and this was just as good.
