I must say this place is not that bad! Food is pretty tasty and flavorful. I ordered the pambaso which is basically a torta with chorizo and potatoes with their special sauce pretty delicious. Wifey got red chilaquiles with scrambled egg and chicken. We are both from Cali and have high expectations for Mexican food and this place nailed it. They even have Mexican music in the background for the mood. Service was always nice and on point so I must say we will definitely be coming back in the future read more

To be honest , I wanted to like this place based on the hype but I'll fill you in . As soon as you walk in , there is no flooring , it is straight up concrete like an unfinished job that no cared to finish. We were sat down down , our booth was dirty and not clean and I guess she was annoyed we asked for quick once over to get it ready for us . Upon further noticing some spots on the booth , we realized paint was all over the place including the decor and plant like they have no care about how their place looks . Unfortunately, the food wasn't living up to the hype either . The cafe de olla was blasphemy , it tasted like cinnamon but no piloncillo or lack of since it was not sweet at all. Maybe they don't want to spend on quality ingredients but this is a joke to call this cafe olla. I ordered the huarache with both sauces topped with pastor which was bland . Meat was extremely chewy and most likely cheap quality on the carne asada that came with the chilaquiles which were unfortunately already extremely soggy by the time it was given to us . We told our waitress regarding the complaint on the food, specifically the chilaquiles and while they just offered to remake it in red salsa , we kindly declined as our appetite was lost and she didn't even apologize , didn't take the plate back to chef and left our table without saying a word . I'm honestly quite surprised they don't want to accept any sort of constructive criticism and would much rather leave with nothing to say . I will say concha French toast was probably the best thing there but extremely overpriced for the portion and quality they present . The presentation is what makes it look appetizing which is probably why it's popular on social media like tik tok and other websites but to be honest it was a complete failure when it comes to customer service and experience. My one huge complaint for this place is that the AC is either not on or kept off as it was 100 degrees outside and I was sweating inside along with most of the clientele which were fanning themselves with their menu . Eventually they brought out an industrial type of carpet fan to make some sort of a difference but ultimately just blew hot air around. When the check came , they still wanted to charge for the chilaquiles we complained about and I had to speak up to another person to get it handled . When we paid for the bill , there was no thank you ,have a nice day or hope you enjoyed your meal . Don't fall for this hype and venture out to better Mexican places like "Las 15 salsas Restaurant Oaxaqueño " or even "La Santísima" . read more

This place has been on my list for awhile! The food was so good. Even the coffee had some spice in it that made it wonderful! I ordered the chilaquiles and added pork Al pastor with verde sauce while my hubby ordered the chorizo biscuits and gravy. We were also intrigued by the concha pancakes which was so rich and delicious as expected! The only thing we were torn about was ordered something breakfasty versus lunch. It didn't matter if it was just after 7am, because if we wanted lunch, they served that too. No matter, because we will just come back! Not to be a nerd but check out the ceramic dishware and plates on the photos. We loved them so much, especially the mugs! read more

If the quality was the same that it was about a year ago I would have given this place a 5/5 but the food was absolute garbage. I just left this place and I'll start with the only thing that was good.. the pepino-lime agua fresca. But the down side is the size. I compared the size to a ketchup bottle and the salt or sugar holder. The last time I came the size was double the size it is now and for 6$ it's not worth it. Rather drink water next time. It's BS. Now, the birria egg rolls were not that great. The birria was horrible in flavor. The consome was so dark and thick and the flavor was just not good. The meat in the egg rolls was bland and hard to chew. The egg roll wrap was coated in like sugar I think and it made it taste gross or idk what they used , maybe pastry wrap but for egg rolls they should go to an Asian market and get the egg roll wraps lol moving to the breakfast burrito, I didn't taste it but my partner said it was bland and the potatoes and egg killed the flavor , couldn't taste the meat. Now the MENUDO which me and MIL and FIL ordered was the worst menudo I have ever tasted. The broth was so thick and had so much of the red chile that it was gross. The protein of the menudo which is the tripa was so hard and tough that you couldn't even chew it. The quality of the food definitely went down. It's no longer the same which is the shame. Maybe the expansion ruined them but who knows. Aside from that the place looks empty like it has too much space lol but the wall art is nice still from the last time, servers are friendly. But idk I honestly don't recommend the place but I didn't try the whole menu so something's might be good. ( the last time we went we had the conchas, the chilaquiles, and some other things I don't remember) could be good or not. Eat at your own risk. But for the 120$ we spent, not worth it. Hopefully they go back to fixing the quality of their food or making changes but we will definitely not be back. LAST THING , we also ordered the quesabirrias, again the birria wasn't good the consome was too thick, we did get them for the hand made tortillas but even then, the tortillas couldn't save the birria. Not good at all. read more

Service at this place was a huge disappointment. We've been coming here since they opened. Supported for such a long time and it's a shame with the all of their expansion they are unable to take proper care of their customers now. We came in to enjoy breakfast (party of 4) and saw their host repeatedly seat people ahead of us. After more than 30 minutes of seeing her repeatedly seat parties of 3 and parties of 4 and even a party of 6 ahead of us we just walked out and left. I approached the manager before she sat the party of 6 and asked her why they were getting seated before us after repeatedly seeing her seat multiple parties of 3 before us and her response to me was "I need to seat a party of 6 at that table because it's bigger" what a slap in the face to customer who have supported since the beginning. It's clear their focus is now on volume and not customer service. I will not be coming back. read more

Slow service 3-4 tables open and we've been waiting since 10:30 am now 12:00 pm. Then they told us 40 mins and then 3 people kept telling us the same thing and then said we was not on the list and then as soon as we leave they say our table is ready. This is the worst service ever!! Ridiculous place. Had open tables for reservations made us wait longer even though people never showed up. The workers are beyond rude and liars! All the front end host. read more

Food was good but nothing that impressive. It took 40 min after seating to get the food to our table. Additionally, we had a coffee while we were waiting and when we sat down they asked us to get rid of it because there's no outside drinks allowed. Not sure how my $5 coffee I'm drinking while waiting 30 min to be sat, affects the money I'm going to spend anyway on my meal which was a little over $40 dollars. Overall it was an ok experience. Our waitress Julia was very sweet. read more

Was first confused when searching on Google to find a restaurant nearby to kill time because there's no phone # to call and menus online only show breakfast and lunch but it was 6:30 PM...but this place had 5 stars & showed open so decided to chance it and give it a try. Let it be known, that this "restaurant" is located in the ASC soccer facility with no signage from the road so a little difficult to find. Ordered the Quesabirria tacos & a Mexican Coke which menu shows $3.50 but I got charged $4.10. The gal asked if I wanted onions and cilantro on my tacos, I said sure, and she asked if I wanted avocado...I said sure, but avocado ended up being a extra charge which she did not notify me about. She made it seem like everything was included and not extra, which would've been nice to know, would've passed. They do not serve ice or ice water or beer, only water by the bottle. Three tacos were decent but atmosphere is definitely 1 star... hard to enjoy my tacos with soccer balls nailing the goal board with a loud BOOM every few seconds. Will not be back unless I need to use the bathroom lol read more

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for months. I finally made it and it was closed. I was so bummed. The hours are a little tricky unless you come on the weekend because it's not open for dinner during the week. So the weekend it is! I brought some friends and we had at it. We ordered the concha French toast, birria ramen with bao buns, birria tacos, birria mac and cheese and chilaquiles. We shared everything so I could get the true foodie experience. Everything was delicious. The concha French toast is so good. I suggest you get the sauce on the side so you can put it on yourself. This will prevent it from getting soggy. The bao buns that came with the ramen were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and filled with birria meat. Perfect addition to the ramen. I washed it all down with a pineapple Agua Fresca. I was surprised by some of the reviews and am glad I ignored them. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and we got drinks and food in a timely manner. I will be back and am excited about the new second location coming soon. read more

I'm in town from Los Angeles and tried this restaurant. The service was great, very attentive. I chose the red chilaquiles and the tortilla was crispy, just how I like it, the red sauce was very tasty. The Mexican sprite was perfect and I tried the Jamaica my friend ordered and that was absolutely delicious.. the ambiance is good . I care less about aesthetics more about food and service, which I'd say was pretty darn good. I live in LA from LA for 50 yrs , LA is the melting pot of so much diversity, including food. So, yes, this place was delicious and great for a first try read more

On Sunday 1/26 we signed up to be seated for 2 people. Text message received at 11:13am. We waited until 12:55pm and saw how they called people in instead of texting them smh passing people ahead of us. I was looking forward to try the food but the service was so disappointing! My friend wanted to leave he was tired of waiting and seeing how they let other people who had not waited almost 2 hours skip in front of us. Don't waste your precious time. read more

2nd time attending. I went on a Saturday around 1:30pm. They were still pretty busy since it was towards the end of their lunch rush. With a family of 3 adults and 1 toddler, we waited around 15 minutes to be seated (understandable since it was the end of the rush hr). Personally I ordered the Steak and Eggs. OMG I loved the steak so much! It was very delicious. I also liked the garlicky bread that came with it. The potatoes were great especially my nephew enjoyed it. Dad really liked the pambazo, thats the reason he made us drive an hr and half away from our house lol. My sister got the quesibbiria tacos, they were so big and she really liked them. We also ordered the concha French Toast which I do not have a picture of because it was not good this time around. Unfortunately they did not cook it well enough as it was still super soggy like when u dip it in the egg. This caused it ro taste too eggy. This one is hard for me to recommend as the 1st time we went it was sooo good n cooked to perfection n this second time not at all good. If you have a toddler i recommend you maybe get the stek and egg my nephew ate my egg and potatoes. While i really enjoyed the steak lol Now for us, family that does not drink sweet/sugury stuff n we also dont add too much salt. The pambazo was a little salty. The Horchata was overly sweet. My sister really loved the Jamaica but dad and i thought it was also super sweet. Also they gave us a small cup. Then towards the end the guy said we could get refills . I wish he would have told us sooner. So the 1st time we went it was a smaller venue. Now its bigger. I do feel the food is still delicious. Their plates have a great presentation. I will say that unfortunately we only had our waitress come to us 3 times, to take our order, to give us our food, to give us the check. They never came to actually check if we needed more drinks (which we did). Although the food is delicious, if you go, make sure you go with time! Like it takes a while to be seated, get your food and from how busy it is the waitress hardly has time for you. Dont get me wrong they are super nice you just cannot go in being a Karen and expecting everything now. You have to go and be super patient. The ambiance is pretty noisy since its super busy. You still will have a great time and enjoy your food but like i said be super patient. Honestly we were starving since it took an hour and a half for us to arrive to this location. ** My recommendations to the restaurant : I do feel like 1 person needs to stay up front as a host. This will make people feel more welcomed and the customers as well as the host not overwhelmed. When I went in, the guy was checking people out and sweating and seems so stressed. Just like in any restaurant, the waitress should be the one checking people out. Also at least 1 more waitresses needs to be hired. I notice many comment saying you guys are super nice, which you are, but there is no customer service from the waitresses. Such as do you need anything else? do you need a refill? Its the small things that count. Its not about making a client #1, its about making a client feel like they are all a priority. For example my concha French Toast was not done, I couldn't even say anything because no one ever came to check in on us. My whole family needed a drink refill, we never got one. So for sure at least one more person to help out is needed: read more

What a great find with the help of a TikTok post by Laleh Photography. Would never have tried this place otherwise. I knew right away it was going to be good when we walked in because we were the only non-Latino persons in the place (and the whole time we were there). I had the chilaquiles with green salsa, birria beef, sunny side up eggs. It was outstanding. Wife had the waffle dish and she thought it was delicious as well with the fresh fruit and creamy sauce. We both tried the Mexican coffee for the first time. Wife really liked it, for me it was good, but not something I'd order again (too sweet for me). Overall, a great dining experience. Happy people make good food = facts! Everything was Hella good. MOM HAD HER FIRST BIRRIA TACO HERE. It was adorable honestly. She tore them up but got full on the 3rd one. A strip mall surprise! Estilo Azteca is a delightful family business where you can have a much more authentic Mexican meal than what is usually served up in restaurants, and although it's small and has more of a fast food vibe than a restaurant, the murals and dinnerware lift it up a notch. I started with a refreshing piña drink rimmed with tangy tajín (chili lime salt), and 3 Quesabirria Tacos which were superb as the homemade tortillas were stuffed and then grilled and served with birria broth which was so rich and flavorful. The Birria Mac and Cheese which was stuffed shells instead of usual small macaroni so that was a pleasant change. The Huarache (named for that style of sandal) has a "sole" at the bottom which is masa dough grilled and lightly fried in an elongated shape that is then topped with beans and al pastor, lettuce, crema, queso fresco and salsa. And although all the food was flavorful, fresh, and on beautiful plates that added to the experience, I liked my choice the best. It was the Mini Trompo which was al pastor (grilled marinated pork in this case) with rice, tortillas--cutely rolled, grilled pineapple, onions, cilantro, limes. The barbeque grill flavor complemented the marinade perfectly. It was a colorful feast for the eyes too. I really enjoyed this place, but the servers weren't particularly attentive or informative, and I had plenty of questions since these were not the ordinary choices seen at most MX places, but I could see they were all really hopping so I don't want to drop them down a star in the rating. At least the menu had some pictures and info, but it might help to do a little research before arriving to be well prepared for informed choices. read more

You wouldn't know it from the outside, but inside is some of the most authentic Mexican food in the Valley. Estilo Azteca is a hidden gem. Everything is hand-made from the tortillas to the Chios and salsa their Quesabirria tacos were so good, full of flavor and jucy marinated beef and queso blanco in their large hand-made tortillas. My wife enjoyed their chicken enchiladas packed with flavor in salsa Verde topped with pico de gallo and queso fresca and pickled onions. The service was friendly, and their menu features dishes like Huarache, Quesabirria mac & cheese , tortas , flautas , and Birria Ramen . They also have a breakfast menu with specialties like Chilaqulies, Pambazo, and chorizo biscuits and gravy. They have a Groupon available to save money, and we can't wait to go back! read more

Okay so idk how the reviews aren't higher because I drove 40 minutes one way for this after watching a TikTok reel someone sent me last night hoping for the best, and was blown away by how good it was. Call me Action Bronson because f*ck that was delicious. The service was a little slow, but all the ladies working were so nice, and I don't mind waiting for food when it's this good. If you have issues with restaurants being warmer, you may not enjoy it here because I don't think the AC was on, and it was a tad bit toasty -- but again, food was amazing. Suffer for 60ish minutes for a solid meal. It will be worth it. Alright now onto the important parts - the food & drinks. The Jamaica and horchata were both stellar. The rimmed glasses are honestly great additions to already great drinks. The tajín is exactly what the sweet Jamaica needs. I ordered the huarache de asada & my friend ordered the same but with pastor. I love huaraches. It's my favorite simple dish. This one? TKO. The asada was so flavorful and tender (which isn't always the case most places). The salsa verde? Wow. My boyfriend ordered the pambazo, and it looked SO good. I wanted to taste it but by the time he offered I had eaten half my food and was stuffed -insert ugly Kim K crying face- Guess I'll just have to go back ^.^ read more

Very disappointing. Social media hyped this place up. Came here for my husbands birthday. 7:30 right when they opened. They were not ready. Had to wait 30 minutes on basic coffee. My husband's pancakes had hair in them. They took them back and made a fresh batch, we were not charged for them. Then my steak and eggs were the only food ready while the other food was still going to take 15 minutes, well it took longer than that. After so much wait time, the food finally started coming out, but so cold. Awful! Would never come again. Our waitress was very nice. What's up all, it's been a minute but, got some new heat for you. Went to check this unique modern Mexican restaurant out in Glendale over the weekend. This small little joint packs major flavor in some of these dishes, check it out!! Birria Mac n Cheese - Look, I know this sounds goofy but the shit was actually pretty legit, I liked it. I've had Birria a lot of different ways, even on pizza, but this was solid. Jumbo Shells stuffed with Birria, tossed in a creamy Mac n Cheese Sauce, then topped with Onions, Cilantro and EXTRA Birria!! Yoooo, I'd definitely recommend trying this at least once. I thought it was good. Huarache - This dish comes loaded up with your choice of Asada or Pastor, topped off with all the fixings, beans and salsa. Solid order. Mini Trompo - Served more like a skewer, this Al Pastor was served up with some fresh, handmade Tortillas and a side of Rice which were both bomb It was good, you put together your own tacos, a little on the salty side for me but worth the order. Concha French Toast - Soooo, this shit was hella good haha, literally 3 fresh Conchas served up French Toast style loaded up with fresh Berries, Lechera and Powdered Sugar. Smackalicious!! For real. Must order for me. Agua de Pina & Horchata - Both really good, I like the Pina better, was just more refreshing, the Horchata is obviously on the sweeter side. QuesaBirria Tacos - One of my favorite orders. 3 huge Tacos stuffed with Cheese, Birria, Onions, Cilantro and served with a side of Broth. Flames for real. Pambazo - Another favorite of mine, I recently had my first on my last trip to Mexico and this was just as good. Bread dipped in a Guajillo sauce then pan seared, loaded up with Chorizo, Potatoes, Lettuce, Crema and Queso Fresco. Must order for me. If you're on the west side, go check em out, they have so much more in the menu, I'll definitely be going back. The food was good, the service was solid, they stay busy but, I don't think you'll leave disappointed. Cheers!! read more
