Never use this company. We had three crates shipping from LA to Austin with one of a kind work art work. All of which was destroyed by this company and this mishandling of the crates. Crates were so poorly handled that screws were bent in half. We have been fighting for a claim payout for a year and the amount they offer is barely 10% of the value of the work. They delivered and left boxes in my front yard unattended, they left pallets of garbage and food outside of my garage door. They forged my signature on the BOL, they also forged the portion of the BOL that says I agreed to leave the boxes at the door by term. I mailed a check and it most of got lost. My Estes bill was around $690 I got put in for collections for an amount of $1970 When I called they said the increase was a tariff for not paying on time. I did not sign an agreement that stated if payment was late, there would be a late fee or a tariff. Estes has predatory business practices and poor service and personnel. I will be filing a report with the government for forging my signature which is easy to prove. I have the camera footage to show I wasn't home when you delivered the goods. read more

If I could, I would give them zero stars. Estes is the WORST shipping company I have ever dealt with. I'll try to make my experience with them as short as possible. Home Depot (HD) goofed up and sent my shipment (a 537 lb crate) to my old address 1500 miles away. I ended up talking to three different HD phone reps and none of them knew what to do. They pushed the problem off onto Estes. I called Estes main office and was told to have HD send an email to Estes in Denver, CO telling them of the new destination. I did this and that email was promptly ignored. I tracked the shipment to Colorado Springs. I send them a copy of the email that was sent to Denver. It was ignored. I tracked the shipment as it was out for delivery in Canon City. I was worried because people in that poor town will accept any package and keep it! I frantically called Estes again and was put through to their Co Sprgs clerk. She managed to stop the delivery at the last minute. My crate went back to Co Sprgs, then on to Denver. From there it went onto on to Joliet IN. Then suddenly it was taken of the truck and put on a truck heading back to Denver again! I called Estes again. After waiting 45 minutes on hold, finally at 2 minutes before 5 pm (closing time), I was assured my crate was on it way to Pennsylvania. From there it finally made it to Rochester NY, near my home. After two weeks of being shipped all over the midwest, it looked like my crate was finally going to be delivered. However, Estes wasn't done yet in their effort to give you the worst possible service. The delivery driver never called as promised, arrived 2 hours late, and then REFUSED to back into my driveway to drop of the crate in my garage. He said it was following company policy, which was a lie because I had checked about this already. He was going to leave my 1/4 ton crate right in the middle of my driveway! How the hell was I going to move that? I whined enough to the drive to where he finally agreed to push the pallet jack (with my 70 yo self and son-in-law helping) up the driveway up into my garage. Unbelievable! So take heed and avoid this shipping company if you don't want to go through the nightmare I did. read more

This is a sad review. This company made me get a Knot in my stomach and burst out in an Ugly cry. I paid a large sum of money for custom painting of myself to pass down to generations. I waited 2 months for this painting and worked over time just to pay for it. Once it got to Estes main delivery warehouse, they either outsource it or have a local home delivery group. The whole process from the tracking, interactions, and actually being able to figure out WHERE your order is was like looking for a needle in a haystack...HORRIBLE. my order has been sitting in someone's warehouse now for over a week and noticed the estimated delivery dates are changing by the day. seriously horrible company and I personally would never deal with them, and this isn't really great for Lowe's to use them as I'm sure, I'm not the first with this complaint. It is an extremely heavy package I had to hire some people to just move it from there to my garage door ! It wouldn't kill Estes people to drive to our driveway and then drop it off !!! I'm disappointed with ESTES, because they only sent one person to deliver which is the driver of the truck. I will give 5 stars to the driver of the truck who was very nice and helpful, but 1 star to the company. There should be at least 2 people to deliver heavy pallets. When I get my sofa delivered there are 3 people in the truck to help. So, for ESTES to put only 1 guy in the truck is inexcusable!! Also, there's no motorized pallet lift which is unbelievable!! So the delivery guy couldn't bring the pallet inside my garage, he couldn't even make it to my driveway. We had to breakdown the pallet and I had to bring each item into my garage. They left part of my original shipment on a dock terminal somewhere and when I finally received it, it was damaged, so I had to have my distributor order new railings. Fast fwd 2 weeks and they were supposed to deliver the replacement railings today, but they have been sitting in GA for the past 4 days (3 day transit time) and most likely will be destroyed again when and if I ever see them. In the mean time my customers have a half finished railing on their deck and I have no recourse. Before I even start this review, I have emailed your "team social" email address, and your insubordinate "Safety Department" manager (Mrs. Smith) doesn't seem to do callbacks. Back on October 19th, I was in the carpool line to pick up one of my kids from school. One of this company's employees was driving an 18 wheeler with a forklift attached to the back was accidentally in the carpool line, where all of the parents pick up their kids. I guess he realized that he shouldn't have been there, and suddenly threw it in reverse. His reverse lights didn't work and there was no reverse beeping alerts. As soon as I saw him starting to reverse, I was laying on my horn. Of course he couldn't hear me. He crushed my car and stopped right before the forklift hit my face. Also, keep in mind that I had another one of my kids with me, in the back seat. Please see the picture that goes along with this. Obviously my car was totaled, and the insurance settlement was less than we even owed on my van. If this company is unwilling to help out in any way, even though I have provided them with all of the details, police report, etc, please at least let it be a lesson to not use this company. Less than competent staff! We had a shipment scheduled for delivery this morning. According to Estes (the driver), the package was oversized and they couldn't deliver it because no one was there to help unload. I wasn't aware I needed to be there to help a shipping company unload an item. However, I was able to be there in 10 minutes to assist and they knew this. This is the 3rd table I ordered. The first 2 were through Amazon and both times the table arrived severely damaged. I contacted the manufacturer and they recommended I purchase from a company that uses LTL shipping. Estes Trucking was the company that handled my table from the East to West coast. The driver traveled through severe winter storms and the Christmas holiday. My table arrived in perfect condition and 2 weeks before expected. The driver did not have to by the rules but how hard is to say I will be arriving in 10 min on a text. I know why they don't do this...The dump the item and hope you don't have any contact with them. zero rating for Estes. As a business, I handle the clients money without making a dime and get my products shipped cross country. They are big, class 300 goods, which includes BOATS as a item in the description. After about 10 years of getting quotes written by the district manager for Estes, I write a sale and collect the money up front that is quoted . I never get a bill for weeks and weeks. Wonder why... this company has always billed exactly what they quoted and not had issues. They bill me for $400 over the quote, claim an inspection determined new class of 500 which is for gold dust and ping pong balls, eggs, which are all sub 1 pound / cubic foot. My boat is more like 1.5 lb / cubic foot. It's instructed to be TOP LOAD ONLY, which is where fragile stuff should be, on top of the heavy stock like crated items, boxed goods. It's got a stout pallet easily fork lifted so this is practical for the carrier. It's packed with great wrap and pad and well secured to pallet and I get things to end point all way across country with zero claims because of those detailed steps I learned through trial and error. Two inspectors get into the middle of my bill of lading and assess. First one has no different result. Second one some later point on the cross country trip decides to screw us royally. I paid my bill as quoted over 9 months ago. Nothing further occurs. Then this week, I am sent to collections for 4 times the original quoted amount of around $800, so the total demand now is like $3200. Unbelievable for a $1200 items that I made zero profit off on the shipping. It was just a service to the client. Federal Department of Justice sued a bunch of these large national freight carriers for price gouging and fabricating facts on shipped goods post fact. "alleging that these companies systematically overcharged the government for freight carrier services and made false statements to the government that hid their misconduct". Certainly my experience. I run a A grade small business deep into thorough customer service. I get constant accolades from clients thanking me for putting together a awesome store. Now I get Fffd Over by this POS freight carrier who will go after my personal credit worthiness because I am constituted as a small business proprietorship. And I only did what their own staff wrote as a quote. Their own management can't get anywhere with the snake heads running the operation, or this would have gone away a year back when I refused to be jacked over. PLEASE take your business anywhere but ESTES. Only that will convince these jerks to quit abusing the companies who make up small business in USA. We were making them money. Their answer is to kill us off? Crush shipment by truck? I wish I could give them less than 1 star. This company was hired to deliver a set of metal furniture to my residence for which I had been waiting months. They only gave a 10 min advanced notice before arrival in the wee hours of the mornin. Then they only delivered 1 of 3 boxes that THEY separated unbeknownst to me. Immediately after opening the box, they were contacted by the company that hired them about the missing items. Despite their drivers acknowledging that the package was split, to date, they have been totally unresponsive. I can only presume that the missing items were stolen. The drivers were nice, but the company is super SHADY! Don't hire them! read more

It will be the 4th time they've changed the delivery. It's an evap cooler for my outdoor animals. The average temperature during this week has been 110 degrees. There is absolutely no reason to take a week to drive 90 miles to Tucson. Poor communication and poor service. I will do everything I can to convince Home Depot not to use them anymore. I'm not sure how to begin here - but it sounds like a consistent experience with those before me. I received multiple text messages with my "tracking" information but that was about the only positive of the experience. This company uses the words "Tracking" and "Scheduled" so loosely I'm not sure if perhaps they have a different dictionary. Ultimately, my delivery window was a Tuesday from 9-5pm. I had cleared my calendar to be there for delivery and 5pm came and went with no word. My "tracking" system showed my "scheduled" appointment magically converted to Wednesday with no notification. I called Estes customer service and the lady was nice enough to commiserate with me and called the hub. The verdict was that the driver had too many stops on his route and did not have time to get to me. The same exact outcome occurred the following day (weds), again (thurs), and again (Friday). To this point I am still waiting on a day that is deemed convenient for this company to drop off my package. Since I led with a sidebar about definitions - Einstein's definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.
