Instead of printing out a label, you have to complete a shipping form by hand like back when I was a kid. I was sending a small package and somehow it managed to arrive *months* later AND the person receiving it actually had to pay their postman because it didn't have the correct postage. They apparently didn't even calculate the shipping accurately which held everything up. Super embarrassing for me as the gift giver to find out from the recipient that they had to pay their mailman to receive their package.

YES, it's a family owned business that centers around FAMILY & they are able to have shop hours that work for their family. I've NEVER had an issue. Gayle & Heather are ALWAY kind & helpful. The work has been done beautifully & at a reasonable price. GREAT location AWAY from crowded shopping malls WITH parking. Can buzz in & out quickly. NOT a national chain store with national chain store hours. THANKFUL to have a local store like Monogram Shop available that also services major universities & colleges along with providing cute products and allows you to bring your own items in for monogramming. Thank you for all the years of TERRIFIC products & service!

I've been using the services at The Monogram shop for 15+ years. Sometimes I purchase products they…read moreoffer in their retail shop, but most times I find items that I want to personalize and bring them to their store for monogramming. (Most stores won't let you bring in your "from home" or store bought stuff to be monogrammed... they require you to purchase from their inventory.) They've monogrammed my gifts for graduations, newborns, Christmas, birthdays, teacher gifts, etc... They have a limited selection of styles and that can be disappointing because there are some very chic elaborate monograms that I see on-line that are very inspiring. But the flip-side is that their monograms although basic are affordable. I've occasionally forgotten that their hours are limited and found myself pulling up to the store and being frustrated because I forgot their hours of operation... but that's my fault. They offer a very basic service with reliable quality and if they don't think they can fulfill your request they let you know. (this has happened to me a few times.... they know what their equipment can accommodate.) I know that they can personalize things for sports teams, businesses and more. I've been pleased with the service and product I've received. Plus it's unique to have a mother/daughter locally owned business thrive in this world of on-line retail. I've enjoyed watching the grandchildren/children grow up from being newborns napping in the back room, to becoming rambunctious kiddos running happily through the showroom.

When I arrived at the business that same afternoon, I was greeted rudely by an employee who was working on a project and acted as if I was disrupting his work. He barked some questions at me and then took my pages, binded them, and demanded $10.53 for his work and "labor". This was not the quote I was told over the phone and when I said this, he continued to talk down to me, and I payed the $10.53 to avoid any further conflict. Not a good way to be running a business with such rude and disrespectful employees who don't want to help. Better transparency with your quotes and pricing would also be beneficial.
