What a horrible company. The drive was nice and friendly, but his boss Michelle is a total wench! I ordered a 4 post car lift at Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale AZ at the show. The lift arrived in 8 days, actually faster than expected. 1500lb lift with no game plan for how to unload it from the truck they brought it in. "It's too big for the liftgate" and they expect the customer to "figure out" hot to get it off of their truck. Oh and at a $75 per hour cost. You would think if a "trucking company" is hired to deliver something they would have a game plan on how to get it off of the truck they used to bring it in... unbelievable! Zero 0 stars! Terrible service!!!! They scheduled an appointment on Wednesday, so I took off work to receive shipment. Driver had trouble finding my location, so I sent him a pin. One hour goes by and haven't heard anything so text him if the pin worked, he says "no" and then ghosts me. I call them the next day to see what's going on and they call back to saying they will deliver on Friday. I prepare for Friday and a couple hours go by and no delivery. I call them and they say that the shipment will be Monday now. Now I've wasted vacation for and my own type for 3 days. We recently had a very disappointing experience with Estes Express Lines. We purchased new wheels that were shipped on two pallets to my business. On 06/04/2024, the driver arrived before business hours to deliver the pallets. When we unloaded the pallets, we noticed there were only 26 boxes instead of the expected 30. The driver handed us a BOL, and we crossed out 30 and wrote 26 to indicate the shortage. We signed the BOL and informed both the sender and Estes. Estes then asked me to provide the original receipt and the BOL and fill out a form. I also included a video of the pallets being unloaded and a picture showing the loose plastic on top of the pallet, indicating it was not intact. They declined the claim a day later, saying we did not note the shortage. This shows two things: 1. They train their drivers to give bogus papers to sign upon delivery. However, my copy clearly states we received 26 boxes, not 30. 2. They completely ignore videos and photos to avoid taking responsibility. In my opinion, Estes Express Lines is dishonest and untrustworthy. I will never ship with them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them as well. read more

One of their drivers ROBERT BUTLER Truck 76941 of Delaware, ran a red light and crashed into me on October 25, 2024. Totaled my car and I have been having medical issues since. I am a 54 year old Veteran with a 6 year old Autistic child and my 74 year old Mother who is disabled that I cannot take anywhere since October. Add to the fact that I am so scared to drive now for fear of getting hit again. ROBERT BUTLER took responsibility when my insurance company Geico called him but when his trucking company Aon Risk Services Southwest, Inc contacted him, he is telling a different story and now this has been delayed again and again and again. They also keep saying that a new person has been placed to take care of the issue. This is the 3rd person and now excuses about the holiday delays, pregnancy as well. If you see an ESTES truck on the road...WATCH OUT... What happened to me is no different than a Hit and Run. They were delivering from Home Depot, and their form was sent out saying they would schedule an arrival time WITH ME, because it needed someone to sign for it. Then I was told at 8:38 am via text that they had set the delivery for the same day, from 9 to 1. Zero attempt to contact me. The previous estimated delivery was for a week later. They called and at LEAST they worked with me to drop it off, instead of having me sign for it, but then I had to be paranoid it would be stolen (though it was big enough that I didn't think it would). So 1 extra star for the delivery person being flexible and understanding that his company messed up. If I had to choose and pay for it myself, I would not choose this company to deliver. I had a most excellent experience with Estes Express delivering a very heavy pallet of paving stones to my home from Home Depot. They communicated well in advance, called me when they were on their way, and the driver was super polite and professional. He even moved it a little further than required so as to allow my car to get into the driveway. I see that many people have left bad reviews, but honestly, for me, they couldn't have been better. Through this whole process I've been stuck up in my house for 3 weeks waiting for this fix. If I could, I would give them zero stars. Estes is the WORST shipping company I have ever dealt with. I'll try to make my experience with them as short as possible. Home Depot (HD) goofed up and sent my shipment (a 537 lb crate) to my old address 1500 miles away. I ended up talking to three different HD phone reps and none of them knew what to do. They pushed the problem off onto Estes. I called Estes main office and was told to have HD send an email to Estes in Denver, CO telling them of the new destination. I did this and that email was promptly ignored. I tracked the shipment to Colorado Springs. I send them a copy of the email that was sent to Denver. It was ignored. I tracked the shipment as it was out for delivery in Canon City. I was worried because people in that poor town will accept any package and keep it! I frantically called Estes again and was put through to their Co Sprgs clerk. She managed to stop the delivery at the last minute. My crate went back to Co Sprgs, then on to Denver. From there it went onto on to Joliet IN. Then suddenly it was taken of the truck and put on a truck heading back to Denver again! I called Estes again. After waiting 45 minutes on hold, finally at 2 minutes before 5 pm (closing time), I was assured my crate was on it way to Pennsylvania. From there it finally made it to Rochester NY, near my home. After two weeks of being shipped all over the midwest, it looked like my crate was finally going to be delivered. However, Estes wasn't done yet in their effort to give you the worst possible service. The delivery driver never called as promised, arrived 2 hours late, and then REFUSED to back into my driveway to drop of the crate in my garage. He said it was following company policy, which was a lie because I had checked about this already. He was going to leave my 1/4 ton crate right in the middle of my driveway! How the hell was I going to move that? I whined enough to the drive to where he finally agreed to push the pallet jack (with my 70 yo self and son-in-law helping) up the driveway up into my garage. This is a sad review. This company made me get a Knot in my stomach and burst out in an Ugly cry. I paid a large sum of money for custom painting of myself to pass down to generations. I waited 2 months for this painting and worked over time just to pay for it. Waited all this time for my painting to get to me with A LARGE HOLE THROUGH THE BOX, THE CANVAS LOOK LIKE IT WAS SMASHED BY THE HALK. I am sick and sadden. They dropped my delivery at the wrong place of business and instead of owning up to their mistake, they were rude and nasty and hung up on me instead of listening to the fact that they missed which suite number it was. Once it got to Estes main delivery warehouse, they either outsource it or have a local home delivery group. The whole process from the tracking, interactions, and actually being able to figure out WHERE your order is was like looking for a needle in a haystack...HORRIBLE. my order has been sitting in someone's warehouse now for over a week and noticed the estimated delivery dates are changing by the day. seriously horrible company and I personally would never deal with them, and this isn't really great for Lowe's to use them as I'm sure, I'm not the first with this complaint. This freight company is the worst. They left part of my original shipment on a dock terminal somewhere and when I finally received it, it was damaged, so I had to have my distributor order new railings. Fast fwd 2 weeks and they were supposed to deliver the replacement railings today, but they have been sitting in GA for the past 4 days (3 day transit time) and most likely will be destroyed again when and if I ever see them. In the mean time my customers have a half finished railing on their deck and I have no recourse. Placed an order with Lowes for Kitchen cabinets. First we were told cabs would arrive Aug 8th. Then it changed to Aug 18 then changed to Aug 21 now (today) it says Aug 25th. I ordered a hood on Aug16th. It was picked up by Estes on the 22nd in Virginia, was to be in Alabama on the 24th. The tracking stopped on the 24th, 4 days later I called customer service and they tell me that they lost the package. Its a hood for a truck, how do u loose a 6'x8' box. Finally on the 28th , the package was found in Pennsylvania, tracking picked back up and now it's the 30th , and it's finally made it to Alabama. It's literally a hour away from and they can't tell me when trailer will be unloaded or when I can expect my package. Less than competent staff! We had a shipment scheduled for delivery this morning. According to Estes (the driver), the package was oversized and they couldn't deliver it because no one was there to help unload. I wasn't aware I needed to be there to help a shipping company unload an item. However, I was able to be there in 10 minutes to assist and they knew this. Instead, they left it on their dock and said they could maybe deliver Friday or I could pick it up. The purpose of a shipping company is so that I don't have to pick it up. Before I even start this review, I have emailed your "team social" email address, and your insubordinate "Safety Department" manager (Mrs. Smith) doesn't seem to do callbacks. Back on October 19th, I was in the carpool line to pick up one of my kids from school. One of this company's employees was driving an 18 wheeler with a forklift attached to the back was accidentally in the carpool line, where all of the parents pick up their kids. I guess he realized that he shouldn't have been there, and suddenly threw it in reverse. His reverse lights didn't work and there was no reverse beeping alerts. As soon as I saw him starting to reverse, I was laying on my horn. Of course he couldn't hear me. He crushed my car and stopped right before the forklift hit my face. Also, keep in mind that I had another one of my kids with me, in the back seat. Please see the picture that goes along with this. Obviously my car was totaled, and the insurance settlement was less than we even owed on my van. If this company is unwilling to help out in any way, even though I have provided them with all of the details, police report, etc, please at least let it be a lesson to not use this company. I'll skip the nightmare of even getting my delivery scheduled as that's a whole novel in itself rivaling some of Stephen King's best work. I'll just talk about today's issue. Finally got scheduled for delivery between 10 am and 3 pm. (guess if they show up or not) 12 pm gets here and based on my previous experience I get a bit worried. Nevermind that I had to clear my schedule and be at home, the bigger issue is that I had to coordinate help in carrying my item up, had to coordinate with a plumber, and had to have my building shut the water off for the entire building I live in. I call and am on hold for 50 minutes. The Estes rep that answered was kind enough to do some research and eventually found out that my item wasn't loaded on the truck and that it won't be delivered today. You'd think the least they could do is call and let me know. But of course they don't. Now I have to try and scramble to find someone to help me carry it up, a plumber, and ask them to shut the water off again to my building in hopes that it actually arrives. They delivered and left boxes in my front yard unattended, they left pallets of garbage and food outside of my garage door. They forged my signature on the BOL, they also forged the portion of the BOL that says I agreed to leave the boxes at the door by term. I mailed a check and it most of got lost. My Estes bill was around $690 I got put in for collections for an amount of $1970 When I called they said the increase was a tariff for not paying on time. I did not sign an agreement that stated if payment was late, there would be a late fee or a tariff. Estes has predatory business practices and poor service and personnel. I will be filing a report with the government for forging my signature which is easy to prove. I have the camera footage to show I wasn't home when you delivered the goods. read more
