The owner even debated with me over some of the damage as the crew member denied it. We felt that they use nice polite workers that appear to work hard. However, there was no crew leader and it was a free for all loading and unloading our belongings. We had everything packed and marked as to where it should be placed in the new home, it just didn't happen 50% of the time unless we were on top of them constantly. Young guys that seem to have this as a way to make a living and no skin in the game, so to speak. Having said all this, we enjoyed talking with them and actually was able to gift them quite a few pieces of belongings we couldn't keep and helped them personally. I touched based with them the next day around 1:30 and confirmed they were coming. It was detailed and complete, listing all materials needed and all of the instructions for moving (what goes, what stays, packing fragile items, etc. 2. The team arrived per schedule, on time and ready. They worked quickly and professionally, and I found them friendly and I observed them taking extra care of my goods as they were loaded on the van. 3. Unloading was quick, and I found them both responsive to my directions for where things needed to wind up, and in fact they created a storage scheme that allowed me to access my kitchen stuff (for instance) without a lot of shuffling and relocating boxes. I cannot begin to express my disgust with Unigroup/United Vanlines/Lawrence Moving…read more $21,000 in damages, took me 9 months to compile a list, another two months to take photos of damages because they refused to travel to my residence and they sent me $5400. Mind you during this time I never received one call to ask me about my experience, to offer concern in an attempt to improve - absolutely nothing!! Two tractor trailers were loaded with my belongings. I had issues with the movers right from the start and made several complaints. My belongings were transferred to three box trucks for delivery a couple months later. One truck broke down so they moved everything into the two other trucks. Items were scratched, broken and damaged beyond repair. We had items from three different rooms packed together. Remotes and cords were not packed with what they went to. We were told we had to disassemble our gym equipment and swingset. They lost components and we were told it was our fault. It has been over a year since I moved. Now I have to dispute in writing and I cannot cash the check that was sent or it's an affirmation that I accept it as a settlement. Thought of suing but I don't have the money to fight a large corporation. Do not use any company associated with this outfit. You're better off moving it yourself.
