The owner even debated with me over some of the damage as the crew member denied it. We felt that they use nice polite workers that appear to work hard. However, there was no crew leader and it was a free for all loading and unloading our belongings. We had everything packed and marked as to where it should be placed in the new home, it just didn't happen 50% of the time unless we were on top of them constantly. Young guys that seem to have this as a way to make a living and no skin in the game, so to speak. It was detailed and complete, listing all materials needed and all of the instructions for moving (what goes, what stays, packing fragile items, etc. 2. The team arrived per schedule, on time and ready. They worked quickly and professionally, and I found them friendly and I observed them taking extra care of my goods as they were loaded on the van. 3. Unloading was quick, and I found them both responsive to my directions for where things needed to wind up, and in fact they created a storage scheme that allowed me to access my kitchen stuff (for instance) without a lot of shuffling and relocating boxes. It was thoughtful and considerate, something I had not even thought about when planning the move. BBG&T were great. I hired U-Pack and was immediately impressed by the customer service and the fact that I didn't have to deal with the dreaded A.I. robot machine that keeps the customer from reaching an actual living man or woman, rather I was quickly connected to a man or woman every time after a very. brief recording, and they were knowledgeable, super helpful, friendly and intelligent. Atlas Van Lines, American of Virginia misrepresents their products/services…read more I decided to go with a national firm, Atlas Van Lines, to assist me in a small, long distance move to reduce my risk in being scammed by a third-party organization. I knew I was paying more but it would be worth it. There are a lot of Scammers out there in this moving industry out there. By federal law, the moving company is liable for the full replacement value of your goods and is limited to $6 per pound unless you declare the items have a higher value. Unfortunately, I was sold on an upgrade of a program they call "valuation" that will cover any damages to my household items with $0 deductible. It was presented to me that it acts like insurance, and they use insurance narrative like "coverage and deductibles" where the company covers these costs of repairs and or replacement. The paperwork does state it's not insurance. What really happens is that if there is damage or loss of items, the company deducts the cost from the drivers paycheck. This is just wrong in so many ways. When I called the affiliate, American of Virginia, to make a complaint and to file a claim, I was told to call corporate. And when I did call corporate, I was told I would get a call back within 48 hours that never happened. It appears that their strategy is hoping that the customer will just give up and go away. Don't buy into this misrepresentation. I was a bit wary considering the low cost, but they did an incredible job and maintained wonderful communication throughout the planning and moving process. I was given a window of 8am-8:30am for the movers' arrival, and Corey, Tamarius, and Drew arrived right before 8:30am. They did an excellent job taking apart and wrapping my furniture and got everything securely into their truck within about two hours. The unloading was extremely fast and Tamarius kindly put together the furniture they took apart for transport (and even moved some heavy packages that were waiting for me upon my arrival to the new house). I noticed a few small nicks on my guest bed frame and on one of the legs of my kitchen table, but nothing extreme (and nothing a wood marker couldn't take care of). The vast majority of my furniture (including my beloved bookcases) made it in excellent condition. TLDR; I couldn't recommend GS Moving Solutions enough! They were easy to work with and did a wonderful job moving me across state lines.

I cannot begin to express my disgust with Unigroup/United Vanlines/Lawrence Moving…read more $21,000 in damages, took me 9 months to compile a list, another two months to take photos of damages because they refused to travel to my residence and they sent me $5400. Mind you during this time I never received one call to ask me about my experience, to offer concern in an attempt to improve - absolutely nothing!! Two tractor trailers were loaded with my belongings. I had issues with the movers right from the start and made several complaints. My belongings were transferred to three box trucks for delivery a couple months later. One truck broke down so they moved everything into the two other trucks. Items were scratched, broken and damaged beyond repair. We had items from three different rooms packed together. Remotes and cords were not packed with what they went to. We were told we had to disassemble our gym equipment and swingset. They lost components and we were told it was our fault. It has been over a year since I moved. Now I have to dispute in writing and I cannot cash the check that was sent or it's an affirmation that I accept it as a settlement. Thought of suing but I don't have the money to fight a large corporation. Do not use any company associated with this outfit. You're better off moving it yourself.
