Great first visit to ENT Specialists from the free parking lot / plenty of spots and there's even…read moresome shaded areas under the trees if you're lucky enough to snag those spots. Staff is friendly and helpful - both on the phone and in person. They are clear with their instructions and try to be as helpful and informative as possible.

I appreciate that Dr. Fyfe tries to avoid surgery, if possible. But, if you do end up needing…read moresurgery, I recommend getting a second opinion before you move forward with surgery. Dr. Fyfe performed my surgery in March (balloon sinuplasty and "roto rooter" holes). The surgery required general anesthesia, and recovery from the "roto rooter" was long and painful. After recovery, I felt great for about 6 weeks. Then, in May I got a sinus infection and took antibiotics. In June I got another sinus infection, another follow up, and more antibiotics. In July...another sinus infection. After that, I sought another opinion, and found that there are more modern and effective procedures that do not require cutting holes (the "roto rooter") and do not require general anesthesia. I had another procedure done last week to fix my sinuses (the holes Dr. Fyfe made weren't draining properly) and it has been a much easier recovery so far. Only twilight sedation was needed, and it was done in-office instead of in a surgery center. I feel more confident now that my infected days are over, but I wish I would have gotten a second opinion before surgery with Dr. Fyfe so that I could have avoided the permanent and unnecessary holes in my sinuses.

Update: Dr Nason personally called me after I left this review and let me know who I should contact…read moreto help my father. .... I am so upset with this office. My father was in the hospital and they referred me to Dr Nason. This doctor's name was written on his discharge paperwork. I filed out the appointment form online with all the information, including his diagnosis/hospital info/and that the hospital wrote a referral. Someone called me a few days later and set him up an appointment for 3 1/2 weeks later. 24 hours before the appointment, they called to say this doctor won't see him for his diagnosis. My father has been suffering for over 3 weeks waiting to see this specialist. They refused to take any accountability for the situation or admit they put his health in danger. The office manager told me this is not their fault and blamed the ER. Then she blamed the call center schedulers. Completely unprofessional to shift the blame to your employees and then tell you it's not her problem.

Before my office visit I was able to have a telemedicine visit, even as a new patient. I greatly…read moreappreciated that. I was able to fill out all my patient forms online ahead of time, so they were completely ready for me when my appointment began. Dr. Young was very understanding of my issue and explained the different options I have for addressing it. This resulted in an in-person visit. I was greeted quickly and very friendly.  The waiting room is very calming; you only hear the light music from the front desk and the hum of the air purifier. The nurse who took me back to the room and took my vitals was very friendly and made me feel welcome. My visit with Dr. Young was awesome.  She explained everything she did, step by step, and was patient with all of my questions. Building is in a quiet area and has ample parking. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building and outside the office door.  Masks are required throughout the building and offices, including this office.

I was very fortunate to find Dr. Nolen. I probably would not be writing this review today if he…read morehad not taken on my case. My surgery was 8 hours, Epic effort by him and the OR Team. After, I remember waking up in recovery and thinking "wow, I can breath again." The first time I met Dr Nolen, he came into the room and told me" I was reviewing your case last night and this what I think we need to do". At this point I had seen a lot of people, no one had offered a plan and few had reviewed my case prior to seeing me. I knew when he told me that, I had found someone who can help me get the care I needed. I cannot write enough good things about him and his staff or thank him enough.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nolen. He displays confidence without arrogance. He's…read morefriendly and very informative. He's a good listener. He doesn't rush you, he always have time for you and your concerns. During your appointment he focuses on you. Dr. Nolen told me upfront of the risks of my much needed surgery. My age was a factor (68). I could end up with partial facial paralysis. The surgery involved working around a major nerve that controlled the movement of the right side of my face. That nerve might need removal and then replacement. I might not be able to close my right eye or close my lips together on the right side of my face after the surgery. I could end up drooling. He has years of experience in any event. On my first visit I felt very confident he could do the job. He told me everything I needed to hear. I had a tumor in my right parotid gland. I also had a second tumor in my right ear canal. That second tumor had pretty much ended my hearing in that ear. One looked to overlap the other. From the CT scan the one was deep and could near a jugular vein. They had both been there since 2019. Four years of knowing weighs on one's mind. A biopsy was done prior to my meeting Dr. Nolen by Dr. Whited also of Austin ENT. He referred me to Dr. Nolan after realizing the magnitude of the necessary surgery. His specialty is throats not so much ear related issues. But he too could have performed the surgery. That referral also speaks volumes to the abilities of Dr. Nolen. Another thing I needed to hear was that it could take 6-7 hours of surgery. That concerned me greatly. He assured me with confidence he had preformed much longer surgeries. After the surgery he told me the way it was. The surgery ended up being much easier than originally assessed. Luck was on my side he had seen and operated on much worse. In the end I had very little facial paralysis, which was mostly being able to firmly close my lips together. The exciting news, I feel I got back more hearing in that ear than I thought possible. Thank You Dr. Nolen!
