I loved this place! The vibe is sort of like if you could have a cocktail at a garage in Cuba in the 50's. The drinks are great, and I enjoyed the focus on brandies, rums and mezcals. I had the pisco cocktail and loved it immensely. The drinks are about $12, which I usually think is pushing it for a drink, but these were pretty large (and strong) glasses. I also really enjoyed the chill come-as-you-are sort of atmosphere; we had a bachelorette party sitting behind us but there were also friends hanging out and people in hoodies. I have been coming to this bar for a few years now and every time I have to say I have a great experience! The music can be pretty loud but it's like this fusion club tribal stuff and it goes really well with the exotic mezcal and other drinks they offer. Really love coming here in the summer and sunshine because they have an outdoor area that you can hang out in. Also, the bar is dog friendly! Overall one of my fave pics to go out to if I have a little extra cash on me. Two cocktails can quickly turn pricey, and they are all delicious so it's easy to spend a bit more here than you would - but overall it's one of the best bars in Logan Square area of Chicago! read more

For the most part I enjoyed Estereo. The bartenders were great and the drink were pretty good. I saw them poor a lot of cocktails from premade bottles which I think helps them keep a reasonable price but still taste pretty good. Our group tried all of the drink on the menu and there wasn't one I disliked. I really liked the mazcal! HOWEVER the door guy was a bit of a jerk and LITERALLY ripped a plastic cup out of my hand without even asking me for it or telling me I could bring it in. I felt very violated and like he really overstepped his boundary. I likely won't be back because of this. I don't take well to physical force when you're attending a bar in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday or anywhere else for that matter. read more

Love the vibe and drink approach here at Estereo! The menu is divided by the different type of spirits/ingredients/preparation that is highlighted, (ex, Mezcal, Rum, Pisco, Coffee, Frozen, etc.) which makes for fun cocktail exploration. Beers and wines also available, as well as coffee beverages. Looking forward to heading back in the summer when the garage doors open - it's on the corner with a triangle layout, so 2/3 walls will become open to the neighborhood! Pretty neat place to try out. My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, and there was a decent crowd. It looks and smells like a coffee shop which was throwing me off a little bit, but the drinks were yummy. We had several different drinks which all were made perfectly, and the prices were fair. The drink options are a little limited; only about 10 options or so. I wish they menu was longer just because what they had was pretty tasty. The highlight for me was the music. It truly created a comfortable Cuban-ish vibe. The service could be better. This was my first time stopping in, and other than having to pass a bouncer no one said hello or greeted us in any way. My husband walked to the bar and asked if someone comes to our table and he was told no we could only order at the bar. This wouldn't have been a problem if we had been told as we walked in or something. The service at the bar was like a McDonalds, fast and lackluster (not good or bad). Overall we will be back because the drinks were made well and it served its purpose. I'd like to see some improvements with general friendliness of the staff. read more

They make you wait in line even though the place is barely half full in hopes to build a false sense of hype. The bouncer with the deep voice lets all his friends in while we continued to wait. We recently stopped in Estereo and really loved this little Peruvian watering hole. The atmosphere was bright and inviting. They have a million different different types of Pisco and the few drinks we had were all great. This is a nice specialty cocktail place. The decor is a cross between modern and what feels like a 50s soda shop. The menu is concise and to the point. The prices are exactly what you would expect from specialty cocktails. I tried the root beer old fashioned and it was delicious. The bartender was a nice guy and checked in on us a couple times. A hairpin shaped bar with TONS of big open windows made for an awesome breezy evening (felt a little like a bar in a resort because of this). Lovely also to see/feel the Blue Line roaring by at a long angle. Will be curious how it feels in the winter with the windows closed. This place just opened up and I'm so excited because it's literally right down the street from me! I love the vibe of this bar and the drinks flow really well with the aesthetic of the place. I really like the vibes, atmosphere, and typically like the drinks here. I really enjoy that you can feel like you are partially outside while being inside. It's a summery feel so I am not torn about whether I am inside or outside. I always enjoy the music, generally non-annoying people, and great service from the bartenders. The doorman is really nice too and doesn't yell at people to leave, instead he gently tells people to finish their drinks and get ubers. I really don't like being yelled at, especially by men, so I really appreciated his approach. I love mezcal and cocktails. I have been here a few times before last night and usually love the drinks (have had the pisco, mezcal, and rum drinks). Last night though, the drinks were kind of sugary even for me and I don't drink a lot of hard liquor. The mezcal drink was close to cough syrup and the frozen drink was hard to swallow. If I had just went there last night I would have given this place three stars, but I have had much better cocktails there before so I am not sure what was happening. So me and my girlfriend try this place out on a Saturday night. Once we arrive and get a table we notice there's no waitresses or anyone to ask us what we wanted. Which is fine I just wished they had that stated some where. So I walked up to the bar behind a sworn of people some waiting to get the bartenders attention and some just there talking. After about 20 min of standing there the bartender finally looked in the direction we were in. I ordered the tequila and the Mezcal. Total for two drinks came out to $28. The tequila wasn't that bad but the over dose of carbonated water made me feel like I was drinking soda which was weird. My Girlfriend has the Mezcal which as soon as she drank it almost spit it back out. Her first words was it taste like BBQ sauce. After laughing at her response I taste it for my self only to also realize that the drink did taste like BBQ sauce! We decided to give the bar another chance and order a rum drink. Which at first was pleasant but had a weird after taste. Needless to say three drinks in and a $40 bill that this bar definitely has its own unique way of making these cocktails that was definitely wasn't for us read more

Great neighborhood spot to grab a cold Pacifico! But you have to get an order of tamales to complete the experience. Genius idea for the bar to partner with a tamalero who walks in with his little cooler and sells tamales. They are not huge but the perfect size to snack and drink. Must try! read more
