As a designer, I buy vintage furniture to refurbish for my clients so I've seen many a consignment store in the last 7 years I've been in business. Estates consignments has some pretty decent prices for the obvious "consigned" pieces, although they also have a large inventory of things that I think may of been new that were quite pricey. All in all, I'll probably stop by again when I'm in the area. The Best Consignment store in Contra Costa! We were impressed with the decor, knick knacks, furnitures, watches and Jewelry. Prices were reasonable! This is a large store with a nice selection of new furniture and consigned furniture. My wife and I like to cruise the consignment area and we have brought some nice pieces. They were reasonably priced. The jewelry department has a nice selection for every budget. I enjoy checking out the high end watches. Most of all, we appreciate how well we are treated by the knowledgeable staff. They are always available to assist and are so friendly. This store has become one of our favorites. read more

A month ago I just discovered ESTATES CONSIGNMENTS and I was really shocked! I couldn't believe my eyes what I lost since they are open! I like to go to all consignment stores to see and check what stuff they have and I was really impresed in this store.So many unusual and unique things very nice displayed at reasonable prices.I find out from their friendly staff they are really picky regarding the consignment pieces what they are taking in and for sure you will see that!!! They don't have all the"junk" ,only the good quality pieces and what I love is the way they arrange the showroom.You go and you don't need to dig to find something what you need like in the other consignment stores. They have also great jewelry at great (reasonable)prices!Preowned watches and a lot of other jewelry ,you have a lot to choose from! I found my engagement ring there and I just love it! Have had nothing but great experiences at Estate Consignments. To answer some of the reviewers who belive that it is all new stuff, they have consigned several of my antique peices and were very businesslike in their dealings with me. We all think stuff is worth more than it is because of sentiment. The guys who picked up my furniture even helped me emtpy some pieces, carefully wrapping evrything in paper. During these difficult economic times, I have been to MANY places to sell my jewelry. Items that were sneered at by other as paste (I knew better) where valued at a fair price my Estate Consignements. I went there to get a vase appraised which I had bought at a "white elephant sale" in the apartment complex I live in. It turned out is was worth about the $15 I paid for it. I was glad for the honest answer, I ended up donating it to the Salvation Army store across the street. All of the staff was very friendly and polite. The store looked really interesting. On 2/13/14 my wife was in Estates Consignments and saw a sapphire and diamond ring that she really liked. She took a picture and briefly showed me the ring. My wife is always commenting how I never pay attention to what she's saying so I decided to surprise her for Valentines Day 2014. I went to the store at on Valentines Day and located the ring. Stacey in the jewelry department helped me locate the ring and she was amazing. I purchased the ring around 12:30 and explained why I was doing so. She was able to also have the ring upsized the same day. When it was ready, she called but the store was closing in fifteen minutes and I was over 40 minutes away. Stacey told me to come in anyway and she waited for me to pick up the ring since it was for a special occasion. Outstanding sales staff and amazing customer service. As a resident of Nevada, where our consignment stores leave a lot to be desired, I was concerned about consigning furniture, art work, collectibles (Lenox, Wedgwood, Franklin Mint, Rosenthal, China, Crystal, etc). When I contacted Estates Consignment, Rubiner immediately came to my brother-in-law's home to evaluate the contents of the home. Emotions were high due to the loss of my brother-in-law to cancer, but the professionalism and assistance provided was behind belief. Christina inventoried everything extensively, kept meticulous records, sold merchandise quickly, and established a great customer service/client relationship. We are driving additional collectibles from Nevada back to California to Estates Consignment this month as they are the BEST we have found and it's worth the drive, due to the way they conduct business, market merchandise,and follow through. No doubt the remaining collectibles (Christmas ornaments etc) will require an additional trip to CA around the end of October, but, to me, it's worth the time, effort, and expense. THANK YOU to Christina, Robiner and the entire staff of Estates Consignment as you have helped us through an emotional roller coaster of parting with family items in the easiest possible way. Hey Yelps, My experience was different. This store is a high-end consignment store, much like the elegant ones that I have seen in Palm Springs. It is definitely unlike the typical beat-up bargain basement kind of consignment store that we are more accustomed to. I first saw Estates Consignment on Bay Area Bargains with Henry. When I first walk in, I saw all the antiques and also the other stuff at the store. I too thought that the things were new, but I did think their prices were great when looking at the items itself. My partner ask one of the sales person about the merchandise and she explained that many of the items are from developers, designers and stagers who deal with model homes. They are pretty selective with their consignments, they take only high-end and beautiful things that do not look old or worn-out. They also get things from trade shows ,and stores that need to move inventory as well as from local people in the area. They did say the all of the upholstery items (sofas and such) were exclusively from models or other showroom closeouts. They used to take people's old sofas etc, and have had a lot of problems and complaints in the past with pet /cooking odors and other health issues. They sell the upholstery items at warehouse prices, and some with 25yrs warranty, which my partner and I happily bought. We live in the city and furnish our Victorian house with several items that we bought there. I have been to a lot of consignment shops in the bay area, Vegas, Palm Springs and Miami. Estates Consignment is definitely an high-end and upscale consignment store unlike any of the ordinary ones that we are used to. We need more of these kinds of stores, not the thrift store kinds. One of the things I love most about this place is the jewelry! Since it is a consignment store, the selection is constantly changing. I sold a couple rings here and purchased one that I just had to have. The service is both friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like they listened to what I was looking for and helped me find a ring in my price range. This is not a place to find cheap things though. The ring I bought was brand new and on consignment from another store. Even so, it was about a third of the cost of what I would have paid somewhere else. As for the artwork, furniture and other home accessories, everything is in primo condition. Again, if you are looking for real quality items and a great selection, this store should be a must. read more

Called the place this morning regarding some vintage costume jewelry I inherited from my mother. The guy I spoke with said don't bother bringing it unless you have at LEAST 10 pieces to show. I had about 10 x that much stuff. When I walked in, another guy said - "Oh, you're the one who called, but we don't have time to inventory all this, I thought you were only bringing in a few things" . . . .
