This place has art which honors the monuments of San Francisco and the style of San Francisco on clothing. It is called Fleetwood. On a Summer stroll on Clement street I landed inside Fleetwood. Inside you will find hats and jewelry along with shirts and seaters with prints that represent San Francisco from the Richmond District to the Golden Gate Bridge to the Sunset Dunes. You will find posters with San Francisco related prints along with tote bags. Fleetwood is also an art gallery and also has screen printing workshops. This is a good place to shop for clothing that is artistic which has a connection to San Francisco. They hold custom printing classes and workshops and really give back to the city and neighborhood--a local gem! They support and carry local artists and cool designs that are like inside jokes for locals, like a love letter to SF (and the Richmond.) I picked up my Friends of Sunset Dunes beanies here and it was very easy, convenient, and friendly. I'll be back to buy some gifts here.

You can see that the staff are sorting in the back and many of the items here are high quality. There are some decent brands in the mix. Prices are overall reasonable, and they had some discounts going on. They seem to discount by color tags, and they actually take those items out and put them in a specific section so you're not hunting for those sales like many other thrift shops. There are three fitting rooms in the back that are covered with curtains. You can sign up for their membership with your contact to earn points on purchases and get notified for their sales, as well. Staff were also very friendly. Parking lot was decently sized, but if you come later, it may be a bit more challenging to find parking (some spots are designated for a nearby business and some are 15 minute only spots).

The materials are usually satin , organza or layers of tulle to maintain a grand , floating shape . This place is popular. A appointment is a must . They charged $55 for one hour of trying on 10 gowns with a stylist . It may run over time a little bit but they did not charge us more . Each bride to be and friends got their own changing room and full body mirror , sofa to sit and wait . They serve you ice water with no charge and a menu to order latter and other drinks for a fee . Our personal stylist is Tiffany . She is great . Very patient and helpful to help the bride to come to the conclusion of what type of wedding gowns she actually likes the most . It was an elimination process . We started with 10 gowns and went down to the top two at the end . The prices vary depending on the materials. It ranges about $2000 to $6000 . Veil And alternation fee are extra . It takes 6 months to order a wedding gown if your choice. Then two months before your wedding day they would made smaller adjustments and alterations to fit you perfectly. After recommendations from friends, I purchased my wedding dress from Janene's Bridal San Francisco…read morein September 2025 for my wedding in May 2026, and my family and I had a fun and memorable experience trying on dresses. The following months, however, were filled with uncertainty and confusion about when my dress would arrive. With an estimated delivery timeline of 4-6 months, I initially tried not to worry. In December, I was informed that my gown was in the final stages of production, and I paid the remaining balance. As March approached, my family and friends began to grow concerned alongside me. While the responses to my calls and emails were reassuring, it became increasingly difficult not to feel anxious as the wedding date drew closer and our energy and attention needed to be focused on other aspects of wedding planning. We were told that the delays originated with the designer. This is understandably not in their control, but more proactive communication and transparency about the situation earlier in the process would have been appreciated. Ultimately, the dress shipped at the end of April and arrived in early May. Despite this experience, I am still giving Janene's Bridal Alameda 4 stars because of the kind and responsive staff. The alterations team did an excellent job with only about 2 weeks to work with, and every staff member was pleasant. I especially appreciated Jessica, Tiffany, and Mary Ann for being so accommodating, patient, and supportive throughout the process. At one point, I left an item there and the team were very communicative about searching for and locating the item until my return. Most importantly, the business went above and beyond to compensate me for the inconvenience and stress of receiving my dress so close to my wedding date. After everything that happened, I was hesitant to have my alterations done at Janene's, but the team ultimately turned the experience around and made it a positive one. Their excellent customer service and dedication helped make up for the stressful situation. Thank you for making things right and for taking such great care of my wedding dress.

The prices are beyond great if you love vintage clothing and know fabrics. I may have found my favorite dress of all time here for a whopping $14 (because it's a two piece set of decorative vintage fabric) it was in the premium section and the volunteers were adorable making sure I knew why it was priced this way. (I couldn't afford a yard of this fabric retail I'm giddy about a vintage two piece set that I can customize). To then discover that the proceeds go to support women's scholarships was the ultimate bonus! My grand total for everything was $54 and I happily gave my change to the donation bucket by the register. If you are in the area and love unique vintage items this is a must explore. I had to resist the urge to buy several of the tea cup collections. I'm a sucker for vintage tea sets and they have several that are stunning! Within a minute, he was already taking notes of improvements and alternations to be made, even many I didn't consider. In and out within 20 minutes with a plan to pick up in a month. Only $330 for bodice adjustments, hemming, adding slip adjustments, and a wrist strap. When I picked it up about 4 weeks later, it was absolutely perfect. My wedding isn't until October but I can update afterwards to show the alterations. Great price and great quality
