My mom (a nurse) recommended going to the ER, but I have terrible health insurance and knew I'd end up paying thousands. I texted Element, and Krista showed up at my door an hour later. I'd never received an IV in my life, let alone at my own house, so I was clueless--but desperate. Krista was incredibly kind and patient with me as she worked to find a vein that would take the IV. She never once made me feel gross, even though she was witnessing me at an incredibly humbling moment. I felt comfortable and safe around her and when the bag was empty, I owed roughly $400-far less than I would have paid at the ER. The anti-nausea meds in the bag helped a ton, too.
