Turkey Gobbler
Adam S.

So, I woke up this morning craving a chicken salad sandwich. So, of course the first place I go is Yelp to find the place to satisfy my craving. Omg this place not only satisfied my craving, this truly has to be one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I've had. It's finely chopped chicken with the perfect amount of spice and mayo. My husband had the Turkey Gobbler which he says was the best sandwich ever. The atmosphere inside is small and quaint with some outdoor seating as well. So, when you wake up like me craving an amazing chicken salad sandwich or any type of sandwich you may crave, this is the place to go!

Atmosphere is great. - small town cafe vibe. Nostalgic:) Everything I ordered was freshly made. Tasted good. Price is reasonable! Please don't change that! Busy place-- Service is fine.

Fircrest club!!

My favourite thing to get is the Fircrest club absolutely BOMB! Amazing service! I got my food so quick and they make delicious coffee !! This is a family owned café and I love supporting small businesses come and check it out!(:

I absolutely love this coffee stand. I have been going here for a few years now. Missy is always so welcoming, the girls do a great job with the drinks/food. If you're in the neighborhood and want a delicious drink...Head to this place!!! Highly recommend. Missy really did a great job with this shop. Will, most definitely be returning.

I've only been here once and usually wait to check out a place at least a few times before reviewing if possible. But this place blew my socks off. I have been driving by it for YEARS and have never been inside. How adorable. How welcoming. My sandwich on sourdough was absolutely delicious and I keep thinking about it and can't wait to go back. Would love to try some of their baked goods and one of their coffees. So glad we stopped in for an afternoon lunch while on a walk one sunny afternoon. Loved the decor, plenty to look at.. Service was excellent also.

I'm always looking for new coffee shops to try and since I moved here I always pass by and decided to give it a shot. Definitely worth it igot the iced white chocolate mocha! The holiday decorations outside are beautiful. Service is great also!

My fiancé ordered the Tuna Melt and loved it. I ordered the Fircrest Club and had no regrets, freakin' delicious! We also ordered coffees prior to the food and the coffees came out super quick, great service all around. The ambiance was comfy and cute. We love this spot

Half turkey garden with side pasta salad to go, no pickle included

I was looking for a quick place to grab food while I was in the area when this little place popped up. Decided to try it out, will definitely be back. The drive thru line only holds about 4 cars and was backed up to the street when I arrived. There are just a few parking spots but mostly grab and go customers so parking was not an issue this day. There are a few seats outside for dining and a small lobby inside to dine in. Service was ok. Cashier was nice enough but they are a busy little spot. She had to answer the phone as I was checking out, she took their good order while I just stood there. When she was fine with the call she was going to move on to the next customer but I had a question do had to interrupt, also was not given a receipt. Now the food. Ordered the have turkey garden, to go. Was a bit disappointed I guess to go ordered so jot get a pickle, or maybe you have to ask for one, either way no pickle was included. Also I did not notice any pesto on this sandwhich. But....it is delicious! Large and tasty. Sandwhiches come with a side. I chose pasta salad. Yum Also ordered a muffin and coffee cake. Total was a little over $17. Everything was tasty. Already planning a return trip to bring my kid who loves sandwiches.

Nice place for coffee and lunch. Went at 1200pm. Was like 10mins or less for lunch to be ready. Not bad, busy place.

Excellent coffee, sandwiches and baked goodies. Too bad it's not closer to me, but then again maybe that's a good thing!

It's not exactly cheap but was SO satisfying with that FRESH egg. It hasn't looked right lately and I didn't get one. Finally I straight asked the clerk if they were using processed liquid eggs now and she said yes. You have got to be kidding me? The whole attraction was the REAL EGG. Tastes like ass when you use liquid commercially processed eggs. It is NOT the same. That's why McDs sells so many Egg McMuffins cuz it has a real eggs. Marlenes is really beginning to suck on a lot of fronts. I did get a grab-and-go of garlic salmon and beef meatloaf which were good. I come for the house made food. If I want crap in a can I can get it at Whole Foods and at least they still have real eggs.

I was excited about the deli, but 90% of it was cold items that needed to be heated up. They looked good, but didn't make for a good car snack. The only real grab and go thing is the sandwiches, which took about 20 min to make. I also felt like the reviews overhyped the gluten free baked goods. I only saw gluten free chocolate cupcakes, but had hoped for more. A good, clean stop for anyone who needs some quality food without the stress of a full grocery store, but didn't meet my needs as well as I had hoped. If I needed a fabulous dish to bring home and heat up, this would have been perfect.

We saw this little sandwich shop we hadn't seen before and decided to check it out. The atmosphere is very nice, casual, and comfortable. It looks like it would be good to sit and do homework, have lunch with some friends, or go to a casual brunch with family. There are lots of seating choices: a couch and comfy chairs, high tables and stools, and regular tables. One table had a puzzle started you could work on and there were lots of games and books you could use. You order at the counter, they deliver food to your table and there is a place to bus your own table. The beverage menu included coffee and alcoholic beverages. They offered sandwiches, crepes, pastries and soup. We ordered coffee, a pastry, soup, and order of crepes to be eaten there. The coffee was fine served in a nice mug. The cookie was large but packaged in a plastic bag that would have been ok if we had been a to go order. But we were eating there so we either had to put it directly on the table or on the plastic bag. The tomato soup was very tasty, creamy with a little kick of spice. It had occasional chunks of tomato and visible pieces of basil. All of this goodness was overshadowed because it was served in a small ramekin, the type cooks use to portion food when they are preparing a recipe. It appeared we were getting a large taste of soup instead of a cup of soup. For some reason I assumed the savory crepes would be fresh and warm, but instead my order was made with premade cold crepes loosely wrapped around the mostly cheese filling. Taken as a whole we left disappointed. The atmosphere was nice enough that I will try this place again and try something else. I hope for better because it looks like it could be a great place to eat and hang with friends.

A…read morelot of places don't hang around too long and that spot in particular has seemed hard to keep in business. But then we looked cross the street on 1st, where there used to be an Anthem, and even though it was already 6pm, this sandwich shop was still open and...there was a BINGO game happening. Whaddya know? So we took a peak in and they were not only serving sandwiches but they also had a cooler full of microbrews and kombuchas, beer on tap, wine, and a whole list of cocktails made from prosecco and other non-hard liquors like Amaro. Truly something for everyone. So we gave our order to the sweet human at the counter and took our seats I'm not kidding, my Amaro sour was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while in Tacoma and so were the pretzel sticks. I want my cocktails cold, tart, and refreshing with a little kick of funk or herbs and I want my pretzels salty. You wouldn't think that's such a high bar to clear but you'd be surprised. Sandwich Starr nailed it. Our Zatan sandwich was tasty but even though the bread felt a little stale. Otherwise the decor is kinda '90s coffee house and they've got bingo! Overall, this is an odd spot but the drinks are really good and it's got heart and it's the heart that makes it Tacoma.
