Apparently Native Coffee is a fairly new company and they've opened a couple of stands in less than a year so they seem to be off to a good start. I visited about 10 days after they opened this location so I'm not sure if they usually have drink specials or not; it didn't seem like they had any today. Luckily it doesn't tend to matter to me since I don't drink coffee; I'm a chai or lemonade gal. Their chai was really good, and though I don't know for a fact it's not Oregon Chai brand, I'd be really surprised. The chai they have here is really subtle in flavor, whereas Oregon Chai is very very sweet. I was really pleased with this drink. The guy who took my order was super friendly and thanked me for stopping by. I usually don't buy pastries when stopping at a coffee trailer, but I'm glad I asked because they were really great. I hadn't heard of a lemon roll before but yummmmm. Definitely pick one up if they still have them when you stop by, and since they keep them in the fridge for freshness I'd definitely microwave them for 30 seconds or so (actually, warm them up even if you live it at room temp for a bit). Native Coffee is a great addition to the coffee options in Eugene, and worth a stop if you're in west Eugene.

As far as the last few months it seems their hours vary & workers may or may not be there during "business hours" or open late etc. it seems to be more consistent lately. Hopefully that continues. Their menu for food changes a lot. We got biscuits and gravy and it's definitely just a can of gravy poured over some frozen biscuits- understandable but not top notch. Other owners used to make their food from scratch and have more options. The last 3 visits I've gone in the last month have all been lacking. From extremely slow service, to wrong drinks made, to using the wrong account, drinks being bitter, and being asked 4x what my drink is once another car rolls up on other side. Might help to write them down if it is too hard to remember. Then given wrong drink. I feel like it was really delicious and consistent tasting, but I have not been impressed lately. I'm not sure what's going on. We like this place since it's a small business and we always try to support the ever changing small business folk, but I'm hoping things are better next visit.

We decided to stop by and check it out on a particularly cold and rainy Eugene day. The menu had a ton of interesting choices. I decided to try the brownie batter drink which was a delicious rich drink that tasted like a combination of hot chocolate and a latte. I was happy to see they had nonfat milk as many places in Eugene have gotten rid of that in favor of milk alternatives. My partner got the cinnabomb, a combination of cinnamon and white chocolate, in tasted just like a cinnamon roll. He got his with oat milk (they also offer coconut, almond, soy, and cashew). He also got his half sweet, which was plenty sweet for his preference. We also got a pup cup for our dog, it was one of the cutest ones I've seen. A little 2 oz cup of whip cream with a tiny little dog treat on top, he could barely contain his excitement. A great new addition to West Eugene!

Best People Watching and good Coffee…read more Sometimes you have to wait for a table to open up, but if you are by yourself most of the time people don't mind if you share their table with them. As long as you don't mind sitting with someone old, young, professional or homeless because there is a very diverse crowd of people here. This makes it a great place for people watching. Being right next to the bus station and part of the library there are always people coming and going, so you should never be bored. The service is good, the coffee is great (most of the time) and the atmosphere is fun.

While I understand this, it was the breaking point for tolerating the service. I've tried a few other stands, and its all been ok- ok service, ok coffee. I'm glad I stopped in to this stand though. Swung by for my second time in 4 months while in Eugene for a quick visit to see my UO duckling…read more Ordered lox toast (so goooood!) and a Miel Maid (think graham crackers, cinnamon and espresso). It was insanely delicious and worthy of another trip soon! "Duckling" ordered a Mediterranean toast which was also excellent. Seating is plentiful if you arrive early enough. Parking is plentiful; lot parking in back of establishment or on the street.
