I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and needed a quick coffee fix. When a spot popped up…read moreon Yelp with some great photos, I figured I'd give it a try. Parking ended up being a bit of a walk, which had me second-guessing the decision at first--but I'm glad I stuck with it. The moment I walked in, the space felt thoughtfully designed. The flow of the café is one of the best I've experienced--open, comfortable, and easy to navigate. As soon as the door opened, the barista greeted me right away. The counter is positioned close enough that you don't feel awkward hovering like in some cafés where the bar feels miles away. It immediately felt welcoming. I visited on a weekend during a slower period, but since the café sits right next to a college, I can imagine the line spilling out the door during peak hours. At quieter times though, the layout works well--there's enough space for a couple people to wait without crowding the entrance. I ordered a cortado and an almond croissant. The croissant came warmed, and the texture was spot on: fluffy, layered, and not overly greasy. The almond filling had a really nice balance--nutty with just enough sweetness and a hint of salt to round it out. I was told the pastries are made in-house, and it definitely shows. It tasted like something made with care. The cortado itself was solid--pretty classic, nothing overly fancy. One thoughtful touch I appreciated was that it came with sparkling water, which was great for cleansing the palate. The space itself is fairly spacious and works well if you want a quiet moment to sip your coffee. That said, most of the seating is high stools, so it doesn't really feel like the type of place to settle in and study for hours. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and quality of the food. The one thing that caught me off guard was the price of the croissant at $6.50. It tasted great and I understand prices in this area tend to run higher, especially for house-made pastries--but it's a bit outside what I'd usually spend. So while I definitely think it's good, it might not become a regular stop for me simply due to location and budget. Still, a great find and a pleasant surprise during a routine coffee run. Hong Kong style desserts and drinks. Great limited variety of drinks and desserts, not too overwhelming. I look forward to trying more items next time, crepes, and shaved ice. They have soft serve ice cream- earl Grey and royal tea, though machine is not in function until the summer (per person working there). The drinks are not too sweet, Asian style, just right for me. ** soy milk- just like childhood, would we even better if they had Chinese donuts to eat with it. ** M1 royal milk tea with black sugar boba- neat presentation. Tea, not sweet + boba, slightly sweeter than usual = great balance. Service- nice, straight forward. No line, got drinks within minutes. They have a loyalty card- 10th visit you get 20% off. Ambiance- clean style area, casual location to chill. Value - Fair. Example- crepe cakes are $7.99/thick slice and mango sago $6.50, milk tea with boba $4.99 are fair market prices. Location- next to dim sum factory, across from old location of Kid's museum. Plenty of parking. Recommend- most absolutely if you're in Factoria marketplace, and in the area!

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #100…read more One hundred Seattle-Area boba shop reviews, in less than a year since moving to Washington. Yeah, I drink way too much boba... This is certainly the most unique Don't Yell At Me location, consisting of a little standalone building fully enclosed with floor to ceiling windows. The bobarista station is situated right in the center, and there are full walkways with seating surrounding the center in a circular pathway all around. While they don't have dedicated parking, there's limited street parking in front and free 30 minute retail parking in the Bellevue Tower Garage down the street. Traditional Milk Tea, Less Ice, 50% Sweet, Lactose Free Milk w/ Golden Honey Pearls ($6.85) -This drink has a pleasantly strong tea flavor. It's very nicely sweet (not from the sweetener) and has a robust earthy and herbal flavor that kind of tastes like liquid grass jelly. Quite pleasant, and stronger than what I remember receiving from other DYAM locations. Too bad the boba is mediocre. The pearls, small transparent golden balls, are sweetened well in honey, but are far too firm to give a great chew or bounce. Definitely undercooked, albeit not rock hard. Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 Given the undercook on the golden honey pearls and the typically softer brown sugar pearls, I might have to opt for the latter in any future visit. Bathrooms - None

Turns out it's a boba spot. Since we were already there, we decided to grab a snack and hang out for a bit. They've got Hong Kong-style egg waffles for about $5, plus an assortment of desserts like Japanese dessert sandwiches, egg tarts (a few looked a little on the "extra toasted" side), and boba tea in more variations than I could keep track of. If we'd been hungrier, we probably would've ordered more, but we settled on the egg waffle. The space itself feels almost like a bonus add-on to the building kind of a big kiosk and I saw the running supplies over from the building next door. There's a small seating area by the pickup window, but most people seemed to take their orders to go. Our waffle took a long while to come out, but when it did, it was perfectly baked warm, crisp on the outside and that perfect chewiness on the inside, ideal for snacking as we continued exploring the fair. If you're driving, parking nearby might be a bit of a mystery, but if you're already on foot around the Bellevue Galleria, it's worth stopping in for a boba or a quick treat.

There's also no seating inside the shop, but they do have some outdoor seating available. I ordered the Thai green tea with less sweet, added ube + Thai tea soft serve, and a waffle on top. The Thai green tea itself was actually really good -- super floral, creamy, and milky. The sweetness reminded me of sweetened condensed milk, which worked really well with the tea flavor. The part I didn't really enjoy was the ube soft serve. Something about the flavor tasted a little off to me, and once it melted into the drink, everything became much sweeter than I wanted. The waffle was also VERY sweet with a strong coconut flavor. Overall, I did enjoy the actual Thai green tea drink a lot, so I'd probably come back for that alone. Next time I'd skip the soft serve and waffle and just keep it simple.
