I was driving around and looking for a place to have dinner around 7pm, but was not able to find the location. The Yelp said that they would be open at the given location, but they were not. No food truck in sight :( but might be permanently closed and should be updated to avoid any confusion. read more

Due to Food Truck Friday's being cancelled for 2020, finding food trucks these days is like looking at a Where's Waldo hardback. I recently spotted the red Espinoza food truck at City Plaza next to the space whale. I slammed on the brakes, exited my vehicle and ran over to the truck to order. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla, with just meat cheese. I've had multiple quesadillas from Espinoza's!!! The staff is friendly and aims to please. The food here is extremely fresh and I highly recommend placing an order if you see them around town. Espinoza's food truck hits the spot and I think they serve some of the best Mexican food around town. When you see the red truck...put your life on hold and order some! read more

Without a doubt my favorite place to get tacos EVER! I always get an order of chicken tacos and glass bottle coke. The tacos are so tender and flavorful. They even put some type of salsa on top and provide you with additional salsas and limes. If you ever see the Espinonza's truck in town and are in the mood for tacos, try them!! read more

Wow! Great carne asada street tacos at a very reasonable price. $1.50 each. Very tasty and their homemade hot sauce is da bomb! Had a few tacos after the Wookie Run with an IPA beer from the Brewers Cabinet. What a great day-- Run, delicious fresh street tacos and beer. Espinoza's food truck isn't in one central location, but he did say they do a lot of events and catering. Never would imagine that such superb Mexican food could come from this small little truck. read more

I've never heard of this food truck before until it came to our complex for dinner this evening! Husband and I ordered two asada tortas and two pastor tacos, no onions! Oh my goodness, everything was so wonderfully delicious! The meat was cooked to perfection and the sauces were so creamy! My husband devoured his entire meal by the time I was half way done haha. The two people running the truck were both super friendly! The guy taking our order told us we can order up to 3 different meats on the tortas. Definitely something I want to try next time. I will now be on the look out for this food truck! read more

Espinoza's is one of the best food trucks in town! From the simple menu to the friendly, fast service to the delicious Mexican food, this taco truck will meet and exceed all of your greasy, food needs! They offer the typical array of meats such as asada, pastor, pollo, birria, chorizo, lengua, and even suadero, but they do food better than many of Mexican restaurants in town. I decided to get the suadero burrito, and for $7.00 you will definitely get your money's worth. This burrito was hefty. Filled with lots of meat, rice, and beans, this burrito will definitely fill you up. The suadero was cooked to perfection and was extremely flavorful throughout. I especially loved the texture of the meat. Some parts were crispy, while others were fatty and melted in my mouth. I also tried a bit of the quesadilla, and let me tell you, this is no ordinary quesadilla. It was greasy from the fresh cheese and on top of that, you can get the meat of your choice. The service and people inside the food truck were great! Although English did not seem like their first language, they understood my order and were quick to making the food. My only comment about the service is that the people inside need to speak up a little bit when calling out numbers/orders. I was there when there were only a few people left, so it wasn't much of a problem, but I could see it becoming a concern when people cannot hear their orders. Other than that, the service was top notch! The atmosphere of the food and the food truck can be a little hard to describe, but I think the best way to describe it would be family-oriented/home-y. The employees have a sense of family and it really shows in the food. They seem to love what they're doing and they want others to experience that and their food. Overall, I would highly recommend Espinoza's! To find out where they'll be in town, check their Facebook page! read more

Another week...another food truck near the office. With a very limited menu I found myself pleasantly surprised with a lunch that made me wish I had additional room in my stomach to try more. I went with a carne asada burrito and two pollo tacos. It was more than I should've eaten but I wanted to try more than one item before passing judgement. The burrito was thick and the length of my paper plate. The tacos were only a $1.50 each and came with radish, grilled onion, and lime. The hot sauce was truly "hot" and not the mild to medium most places use to play it safe. The good...The food was very favorable at a great price. They have many different meats available to customize your order without the hassle of going to a brick and mortar tacqueria. The food was perfectly cooked. My order was ready in less than ten minutes even with a coworker lunch crowd which meets one of my big criteria for any lunch place. The bad...I have nothing bad to say about this operation. Good food. Great price. Friendly. If I have to nitpick, they do all the ingredients so well it's a shame they don't do some kind of taco salad. I'm sure it would be delicious. A friend recently asked why I would review a food truck. Truth be told I just want to be consistent. However Reno hosts the "Food Truck Friday" event during the summer months in Idlewild Park. I hope to see this truck there this year. read more

Got to try this Food Truck on a Friday! It was absolutely delicious and on Cinco de Mayo no less! The food isn't too expensive and you get what you pay for! Food: The menu was very impressive including some meats, you don't usually see like lengua (tongue) and suadero (skirt steak)! I got the lengua quesadilla which was delicious, a bit greasy but filled with flavor! I saw a few others get the burrito which was massive, so I'd suggest giving that a try! Overall: A The food was delicious and extremely flavorful, I hope I can catch this truck again! read more

This was our first time eating from this truck, but it won't be our last. We ordered a pastor torta and an asada torta. They food came out in under 10 minutes despite three people ahead of us. The sandwiches were huge, not the small one in the picture. We brought home almost an entire sandwich. The rolls were soft and pillowy. The queso was perfectly melted. The modest amount of lettuce and cilantro was crisp. Both had a lot of meat that was juicy and well seasoned. I also got some of their "hot" sauce. It was great and made my nose run! Both employees we interacted with were polite. We loved that they had a shade shelter up to wait for food out of the sun. Each sandwich was $7.00 which was cheap based on the amount meat. We will definitely visit this food truck again! read more

Tacos were $1.75, too expensive for the size. Had carnitas and El pastor. Wow! Talk about bland. Came with some sort of sauce that had no flavor at all. Worst tacos I've had in Reno. read more

Decided to try Espinoza's at the most recent Food Truck Friday at Idlewild Park. I was craving al pastor tacos and these were perfect. I ordered 13 to share and one of the cashiers was extremely surprised. I actually only ate 5 hahaha. The tacos themselves came with double tortillas, radishes on the side, and lime wedges. They were only $1.50 which is exactly what I wanted especially on a college student's budget. I'll be coming back! read more

They need to figure out how to handle food truck Friday's. Don't take more orders and make people wait. Waited over an hour for 4 tacos. Not even in Mexico I'd wait for an hour for tacos. read more

I love Espinoza's! Espinoza's is a food truck that typically parks (to my knowledge) on the corner of West and 2nd (downtown), Wednesday-Saturday around 6ish to about 10pm. Occasionally, they don't arrive until about 7:30pm, but it is worth the wait! After about 10 on these days, one may find the truck parked at St. James Infirmary. I usually get a few carne asada or birria (stewed beef) tacos, along with a carne asada or birria quesadilla. The tacos are only $1.50 each. The quesadilla is $6, and comes with a hefty portion of meat and cheese. Every order comes with homemade hot salsa, which has the perfect kick. They also have a cilantro-avocado salsa that is delicious on the quesadilla. Espinoza's also serves tortas and burritos. My friends and I are regulars at this truck - we go at least 1-2 times per week. Whenever we have a hankering to go out for some grub, Espinoza's is our go-to spot, because the food is so satisfying and affordable. The owners of the truck, Maria and Raphael, are friendly and kind people as well. I will continue to bring myself and friends to eat at Espinoza's. :) read more

We went to this truck on Food Truck Friday in Reno. After an hour wait for some tacos they forgot our order...twice! After the entire debacle they did not apologize, offer our money back, or anything additional in order to keep customers. They just continued to serve other costumers tacos. The food is okay, but their service is terrible. Go to another truck for tacos if you are at that venue. They clearly can't handle it. read more

This has been the best carne Assad tacos I have had since we moved to Northern NV. Definite return visit for us.

Normally, we are skeptical about food trucks, but this one visited our apartment complex and we decided to try it. We had the steak tacos, the marinated pork tacos, and the chicken tacos. Each one came with cilantro and grilled onion. All of them were excellent. The hot sauce is very hot, so be careful, but do try it as it has a wonderful flavor. The people running the food truck were friendly and professional. We liked everything about it and look forward to next time! read more

I was on my way to cal neva sports book and noticed all the catering trucks in city plaza downtown reno. Espinoza"s Mexican food truck stood out. After living 25 years in Los Angeles I am a Mexican food truck expert. I made a great choice. I ordered 2 pork carnita tacos and 1 al pastor taco. All 3 were very flavorful and succulent. I will have my eyes peeled looking for that truck from now on. "Muy me gusta mucho". Craig Pointes Reno, Nv. read more

Went to a Galena High girls' lacrosse game with my daughters and wife and Espinoza's was parked in the lot. We were going to head to dinner after the game but thought we'd try the truck since it was already there. Super glad we did because the food was fantastic! We paid $42.xx for three chicken quesadillas, two chicken tacos, an asada torta, three bags of Cheetos and five sodas. Seems fair to me, especially since everything we ate was substantial in proportion. My kids didn't finish their quesadillas, which meant I got a torta and some quesadilla. Win win. Wife loved her tacos and the five bites of my torta. And glass bottle Coke to top it off. Food was delicious and I hope to be hitting this truck up again in the future. Five stars easy. Cute little girl working the counter was kind and helpful and the cook knows what she's doing. If you see the truck in your area, hit it up. You won't regret it. read more
