From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere immediately set the tone for a fun and immersive challenge. The lobby was clean, well-organized, and had a cool puzzle-themed vibe that got everyone in the right mindset before we even started the game. One of the highlights of the entire experience was our host, Jamie. She was incredibly welcoming and did a great job explaining the rules and the story behind the room without giving anything away. Sometimes escape room briefings can feel rushed or confusing, but Jamie made everything clear and engaging. She had a really friendly personality and made our group feel comfortable right away. It felt like she genuinely wanted us to have a great time, which made a big difference. The room itself was very well designed. The puzzles were creative and challenging without feeling impossible. I really appreciated that the clues flowed logically from one to the next, so when you solved something it felt rewarding rather than random. There was a good mix of different puzzle types too--some that required careful observation, others that needed teamwork, and a few that really made us stop and think. It kept everyone in our group involved instead of just one person solving everything. Another thing I liked was the level of immersion. The set design and props were high quality and made the whole experience feel like you were actually part of the story. Nothing felt cheap or out of place. You could tell a lot of thought went into creating the environment and making sure the puzzles fit naturally into the theme. Jamie also did a great job monitoring the game and giving hints when we needed them. The hints were helpful but not overly obvious, which is exactly what you want in an escape room. They helped keep the game moving without ruining the challenge. After the game ended, she took the time to talk with us about the puzzles we solved and the ones we struggled with, which was a really nice touch. Overall, Riddlebox delivered a fantastic experience. Between the creative puzzles, immersive room design, and Jamie's excellent hosting, it was a memorable and really fun activity for our group. Whether you're new to escape rooms or someone who has done a lot of them, I would definitely recommend giving Riddlebox a try. The staff clearly care about making sure guests have a great time, and that effort really shows. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying another room

I think you can comfortably seat 12, maybe more. We didn't wait long. We decided to do the hacker/code themed room where you have to prevent a hacker from draining major bank accounts. I won't give away any clues, but a couple were kind of silly. "How would anyone decipher that, let alone come up with the idea?" Anyways, 2nd time here. Good experience.

We rearranged the puzzles every which way with no luck. We asked for a hint, and it was what we had already done. We asked for another hint. A few minutes later the game master came on and asked us what our answer was and said it was right and moved us on. We then had trouble with our second puzzle. After several minutes again trying the answer different ways the game master chimes in, and asked what our answer was. We were correct again and she moved us on. Now we've wasted 20-30 minutes on 2 puzzles we had solved pretty quickly. We encountered another issue in the last room. We had unlocked a cabinet but it didn't pop open. It unlocked but we practically had to force it open. When we finished I mentioned to the game master it was pretty disappointing that we wasted time on puzzles we solved. She just said, "yeah that one can be difficult". It's not that it was difficult it just didn't operate the way it should have. Escape Rooms are not a cheap experience and we felt a little cheated. Even with all the problems, we were happy to escape and had fun.

We found MishMash and thought it seemed interested, figured we would give it a shot. It was a random Tuesday afternoon, so it was literally just us and one other small group. We had a blast! There was way more variation to the puzzle rooms than we expected, with a good mix of mental and physical challenges. Some of the mental ones took us a few tries to figure out, some of them we did multiple times even after figuring them out to try harder difficulties or shorter time limits. The physical rooms ranged from less strenuous puzzles that required more precision and planning, to some that were actually a workout and kinda kicked our asses a little. The guy running the place (who's name I wish I had asked) was great! He was friendly and laid-back, he checked in on us regularly without hovering or feeling intrusive. Genuinely good guy rather than the forced, sale-sy customer service vibe you might expect going in. Highly recommend Mish Mash if you are looking to just get out and do something different for a few hours. We will definitely check it out again next time we're in town to see what new ideas they've done (and revisit some we did before.)
