We took my MIL out for her first Escape Room experience- she enjoyed watching how we figured out the clues!

Our first time at Escape Out (Alien one). We didn't quite complete it, but look forward to trying the others anyway!

My daughter had her 14th birthday celebration with eight friends. They all had a great time. Bonus that it's great for brain development!

We had my daughter's birthday party here and the staff was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. Parties We reserved the back private room which can fit up to 15painters, and 20 guest total which means, parents can drop off or some can choose to stay. It was $150 to rent the back plus any other ceramic add ons that the kids want to paint. Ceramics range from $20 and up depending on the size. You can even limit what you want your guest to choose from (as far as price range) and the staff will bring it in the room and place it on the shelf for guest to pick. The back room rental allows you to bring any outside food and drinks (except alcohol). You are given a 2 hour block starting at either 1230-230 or 3:30-5:30. They do however allow you to set up prior to your booked time. The only tricky thing is finding parking to unload your party stuff so I would recommend bringing a folding wagon with you for set up/ clean up. Wish they had one designated reserved parking just for that. But if you get lucky, you can snag a 15min one right in front. Painting For those not familiar with the ceramic process, after your guest have completed painting, it will take about 7-10days after to receive your painted ceramic. They said it will be placed in a kilm at 1000 degrees! With that, you would have to come back to pick up your creation. I would definitely recommend this spot! Super friendly attentive staff, and such a fun and different activity that the kids or adults will enjoy!!

Meissner Sewing in Folsom, CA…read more There aren't a lot of shops like these left. Sewing shops that sell sewing machines, notions, and fabric; and provide lessons.. I was in need of a new measuring tape, bobby pins, and scissors. So instead of ordering off the internet from the rain forest I drove to Meissner. A real brick n mortar shop staffed with real people (not a Bot) within the community. It was my first time at this location. The shop was clean and organized. It had a ton of sewing machines ranging from $200 beginner models to several thousand dollar versions that self embroidery, run automatically by preprogramming. Fancy! They also had a wall of notions and a section selling fabric. The staff working were awesome. Helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. Farah even told me about their classes that they offer onsite. They have classes on how to use certain models of sewing machines besides their sewing, quilting. and embroidery classes. So many classes offered; ranging not only on topic but skill levels. They even have a class that will introduce you to the basics on using your sewing machine. No judgements. The sewing machine doesn't have to be bought from them, if it is then the class is free. They aren't open on Sundays. And I recall the shop doesn't stay open particularly late.

They do a very good job of organizing the day, with a lunch spread that is surprisingly edible. I loved being able to swim a bit in the river, and wish there was more time to do that. The rafting itself was fun, the class 3 rapids were exciting and our group managed to not fall out of the raft due to the expert navigation of our guide. I am looking forward to going back and experiencing some class 4 rapids.

He had lots of knowledge about the California gold rush and it was nice to learn about it as an adult who didn't grow up in CA (I'm sure my 12yo loved learning about it too). While we camped at Earthtrek, it was super helpful that our trip included breakfast, 2 lunches (one lunch mid-rafting trip), and dinner. All meals were delicious and it was nice that there were gluten free options. The OARS site is spacious, with clean facilities, and a small shop for items. Now on to the rafting experience! For some background, my husband was the only one who had ever done it so my kiddo and I were newbies. Along with another kiddo and adult, we rafted through class 1-3 rapids and I never felt that we were not safe (despite me being the weakest swimmer in the family). Alec was truly a guide in every sense of the word. He prepped us before taking on the rapids - gave us the route we would take, what to expect in terms of how we were to paddle and what we had to do. We played some fun boat games and spent some time floating in the river which my husband and son loved. Also included were the always fun brain teaser riddles that had all of us entertained during the floating portions of our trip. After completing the class 3 rapids and all staying in the raft, we felt on top of the world and wanted to do more! If you have ever thought about trying white water rafting, do it - you won't regret it! It's truly an experience and a great time in nature with the family. OARS is a professional and inclusive company, with great guides!

Their rooms are always incredibly immersive, with puzzles that actually make sense, flow well, and deliver those amazing "wow" moments Red Door is known for. I've completed all the rooms at the Concord location, so I had to venture out to try a different one. My siblings and I chose the Taken room, and it was both challenging and a ton of fun. The difficulty level kept us engaged the entire time, and the experience felt exciting from start to finish.

Not saying it was awful but:…read more1) For a group of 4, they should provide more than one light source in the dark room we were in. 2) This was my first escape room experience, we were in a 9/10 difficulty room, and there were many combination locks involved. Probably more than 25 locks across the different scenes. One of the combination locks had letters so worn away it was very hard to read, so we spent 10 minutes with what we thought were the correct letters, only for a staff to point out that we had it on B when we all thought (4 of us looked at it) that it was on R. The paint on the B was worn off so it looked like an R. I told two staff about the letters being worn away, and neither of them seemed to care. Had they just said "Thanks for letting us know, we'll look at getting a new lock" that would have been good customer service. There is another review here mentioning "apathetic staff" and I think that's exactly what I experienced. Staff should inspect those items, in the dark as customers experience it, to see when things are worn out so as not to be readable. Not being able to see or read the objects should not be the challenging part of an escape room. Replacing a $5 padlock is better than a customer having a bad experience (with the room and with the staff) and never wanting to come back again. Overall, again this was my first escape room experience, but when the puzzles almost entirely rely on combination locks, that to me doesn't seem very imaginative. Granted it's not easy to find all the combinations, but it gets kind of boring keep figuring out letters and numbers for the sake of opening locks. If I ever do another escape room, I'll probably try it at a different business.
