Great escape rooms! Clever puzzles and great decor. We did both the Da Vinci's and the Dragon's Lair rooms and loved them both.

Super fun with a variety of cool rooms. I haven't checked out all of them, but I look forward to going back.

Friends and I were looking for an escape room and EscapeOut came in clutch and had some last minute same day availability! There are lockers available, and we all enjoyed the mini warmup games/puzzles while waiting. We did the Da Vinci's workshop as a group of 3 and we were worried we wouldn't be able to escape the room since the difficulty is rated 8/10, but the clues made sense and the hints provided were helpful - managed to escape with 3 minutes left! Room was pretty cool and we had a lot of fun - would recommend! read more

Really a lot of fun doing any escape room but this one has particularly good set-up in their rooms. Even the lobby is well set-up (I've been to one where it looked like pre-schoolers decorated the place ). The staff also goes into character depending on the room you get, as they brief you on what you need to do to escape the room: A little pricey than the rest, tho. read more

Place is very well thought out and very fun. We had 6 of us running around the da Vinci room solving riddles and putting archaic puzzles together. The culmination was time travel, Lexi in front put us in the room without a reservation, which was top tier hostessing. We're coming back for the Dragons Lair room soon. Took my daughter there for her birthday. The lady that greeted us was professional and very helpful. My daughter chose one of the hardest rooms and she and her friends did not solve it in time, but the experience was great. There is a long list of rules about what you can and can't do in the escape room. By the look of the rules most of them were born out of someone else doing something stupid in the past (rules like "don't swing from the chandelier"....I'm not kidding). The puzzles are challenging but solvable and the rooms are clean and well functioning as far as hidden compartments and clues etc. I would say pricing is reasonable but I really don't know because this was my first experience with an escape room. I would highly recommend it, especially for a birthday party for middle school to high school age kids. read more

As someone who has done over a dozen escape rooms, this one definitely met my expectations in terms of the quality of puzzles and exceeded them in terms of customer service! Came in to try out and have some fun since it was raining outside. The front worker was awesome and came out in character and costume to explain the game and give the directions which was awesome. The room was big and had a lot of different clues so with the group of six it didn't feel like we were on top of each other. It was a fun game room. We had to use the phone to get clues which was a little disappointing since only that person could hear the help instead of everyone being able to hear the helpful hints. Luckily we had people that were able to reiterate the clues. read more

Can't recommend this place enough! All the rooms are challenging within reason, and the puzzles are fun with creative solutions that don't leave me thinking "How was I supposed to know that?" like I have with other places. Our daughter has been wanting to do an escape room for awhile, so we decided this would be a great way to spend her 12th birthday. Upon entering, we were impressed with the waiting area, the decor of the place and overall cleanliness. We did the alien zoo room and loved how the game masters dress in character and remain in character throughout the experience. You are also allowed as many clues as you need to solve the puzzles. There were six of us an although we did not escape, we did come close. We would definitely come back and try another room next time. read more

Okay guys. I'm a novice escape room puzzle solver. I've done about 5 total. So far I have done two at Escape out and let me just tell you, it is the most immersive place I've been to for a couple reasons. 1. The host that brings you into the room dresses up in character which is so fun. They usually have an accent and stay in character even when you are calling for hints. 2. The puzzles are with the theme of the room. I found them very fitting. We did the Di Vinci room and the puzzles had to do with paintings and art, etc. 3. There are a lot of fun surprises, like hidden little rooms and finding clues in places you wouldn't think to look. Parking is easy, it's in a shopping center. We are planning on doing all of them because we had so much fun. We even got a little stamp card! Ask about it, do 4 escape rooms and get 1 free. My wife and I did the Alien room and had a great time! They have a person who plays several alien characters through the game, and its really fun. The only thing I regret is asking for too many clues. We were worried about not finishing on time, but I think we could have figured it out in time without the clues. My family of 4 booked the Alien Zoo Escape Room. We had a blast. We have been to a few other escape rooms in the area. This is the first escape room where our host dressed the part to match with our escape room. Our host stayed in character the ENTIRE time. AMAZING. I feel like he went above and beyond for us. I have 2 elementary age kids and they were super excited to participate in the room. My kids were able to solve a few of the puzzles in our room. So happy we gave this place a chance. You will know who your true problem solver enthusiasts are once you go to Escape Out!!! My friends and I (10 of us to be exact) wanted to try an escape room one time! I was a little cocky, thinking ten brains are better than one and booked one of the harder rooms, The Sorcerer's Shack! Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately and there was a locker for our things if we wanted to use it (NO PHONES!!). Once check in was complete, our host quickly went into character to walk us into our room. We had an hour to solve the puzzles and had unlimited access to the phone to ask any questions we had. (Of course the questions were "vaguely" answered, but none the less, most of the time helpful.) The room was fun! You really have to look into EVERYTHING to solve the puzzles and let me tell you, we were NOT even close! (I'd say maybe only 6 of us were actually trying though.) Once the time is up, since we did not complete the puzzle, the host comes in and walks us through the whole thing and how to solve it. (To be perfectly honest, even if you are guided through the answers, chances are, if you were to do it again, you wouldn't remember.) Would love to come back here with people who are more eager to solve the puzzle and try a little less difficult one, none the less, highly recommend this place! We came here for my cousin-in-law's birthday. There were four of us, including me, doing the Alien Zoo room. You can have up to 8 people for the room, but I feel like 6 people is a good number before it starts feeling too crowded. The host/game master did a wonderful job of setting the mood for the room! The room was well themed as well. The puzzles flowed and connected well with each other. We've done plenty of escape rooms (probably 50+ rooms) and it's always frustrating when a room's puzzles doesn't flow or connect with each other at all. We finished the room in ~35 mins. This room is perfect for any beginners who want to get into escape rooms or want more experience! They also have a loyalty program where if you do 4 rooms, you can play a room for free! read more

We were a family of 8 that included 3 kids. We went to the davinci workshop. It was an event to remember. We didn't quite solve it but we came close. Everyone found clues. Even the younger kids. first time doing this. we were split into two groups. the kids went to the magician's room and the adults were escorted to the sorcerer's lair. this two rooms being the challenging chambers for Escape Out. that being said... we never made it out this experience was fresh. our host explained the deets very well, it's just that this group of grown people were too busy eploring the room once we got in. this experience isn't cheap though $28 per person. i would recommend this activity read more

Highly recommend this escape out in Folsom. If this is your first time or inquisitive to find out what occurs in the escape room. Oh, it feels like you are on the survivor show but in reality you are locked in the room instead of the woods. Here's my personal experience: First you choose the room for example, the lab, ritual or sorceress. We decided to explore the Ritual room. Before you set your feet in the room, they ask you to surrender your belonging or put them in the locker. It's a personal choice as well but you are not allowed to use phone or devices inside. Then they will set your mood by giving you the history of the room, what to expect in terms of rules, safety precautions. They are super funny and for the ritual room, they make it sound you are going to perform actual ritual. In addition, they make you sign a waiver, you will be responsible for damages to props or anything in the room. So you are locked in a room with family, friends or coworkers and perhaps strangers. It's a great place for team building or challenging your mind. You will need to work as a team to figure out how to solve the problem under one-hour time-frame. You need to be quick in thinking and move fast to solve the puzzles. As you walk into the room, you will notice a desk, furnace and a few cabinets. These rooms are mind challenging, so don't go drunk. Escaping the room requires team effort. I'd highly recommend this for all ages. read more
