Update: Reached someone on the phone will update on experience! VR was super fun. Person was attentive and made the experience an amazing time! Definitely will come again!! Came in on a Tuesday 6/4 at 3:10 PM; was planning to book online for a 3:20 session but decided to walk in. Good thing I didnt pre purchase because the doors were closed! Attempted calling but no one answered. Sad i didnt get to experience it! :(

their hours as of 5/31/2023, clearly closes at 8pm

My boyfriend took me out for my birthday to celebrate and try something new. We paid for two online and his cousin tagged along and had paid when we arrived. We chose the $45pp, 1hr free roam zombie VR @6pm which consisted in 3 rounds, 10min/25min/20min. Quick process to start, but after we finished the first round, the headset had glitched out or something on one of ours. The kid working had to reboot which took up about 10-15 minutes. By 6:30 we started the second round, and at the end of that second round it was 6:59. We were confused and expecting for the 3rd round to start but as I take off the gear, the kid was packing up and he had walked away. So I asked from afar if there was supposed to be a 3rd game and his words exactly, "it's 7 o'clock." We're all looking at him like wtf that supposed to mean lol online it says 8pm is their closing time and he responded with them having "technical difficulties". ((I can see that!)). Hit us with some more BS excuses, and even said "some things just happen." Long story short, we ended up taking the L. For $140 we were taken aback since we weren't given the time to play the full hour. Instead we played for 40 and got to watch him reboot and reset the headset for 20! Experience was fun, but for $45 a person for an hour, or should i say 40 min? Nah, wouldn't recommend if this situation was the case. + Kid working needs some customer service skills. Otherwise, we would have given this place at least 4.

We hadn't planned on a VR birthday party, but after a quick Google search and some price comparisons with other birthday options for a 10-year-old, we found it to be very reasonably priced for what was offered. Since we weren't sure what to expect, I called and spoke with a woman who provided clear, detailed, and knowledgeable information about the party options and how the timeline would work. We ended up booking a 4-8 person party starting at 10:15 a.m. without food (though we later ordered two pizzas through them because I got lazy). On the day of the party, we arrived at 10:00 a.m. and were greeted by two friendly staff members who walked us through the plan. The kids were split into groups of four and had two 30-minute VR sessions, followed by a pizza break, and then two more 30-minute sessions. Everything ran smoothly and exactly as described. Since it wasn't busy, they even let the birthday boy have a little extra time so he could play with all seven of his friends at least once. During downtime, the kids could also play on a Nintendo Switch they had available. At the end, the birthday boy got to do a special "walk the plank" experience while his friends watched, and the staff was flexible and accommodating when it came time for cupcakes. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience for both the kids and the parents. The staff made everything easy and stress-free. We'll definitely be back to try it again as a family.

And is on the same floor as the Casino. It's really close to the parking garage. The temperature is warmer than the Casino and make it more pleasant. I don't belive you can smoke in the apex. I didn't even see anyone vaping either. Soon as we walked in the Apex we spotted the food court. They have really good deals on food and drink. There is no need to go to the steakhouse or Buffett if you are just looking for a quick meal of burgers or pizza or the like. In Addition this is a quick alternative if you don't want to waste time eating as you are more into playing games or gambling or watching a sporting event. $6 for a beer, $3 for a soda and $9 for a personal pizza. They have tacos, wings, burgers, salads and much more. All reasonably priced. See photo for pricing details. They have a nice looking sports bar with a full bar in the center and lots of tv screens and a giant ticker wraps around the room. They have DJ trivia Wednesday nights at 7pm. They offer hurricane slushy drinks and Kings drink specials. Behind the Sports bar they have virtual golf that looked fun. We saw 2 people playing. They even had the whole set of gloves in a bag. Next time we have to play golf. In the arcade we saw some people having fun in a virtual reality ride. The ride was swinging them all over as they looked thought there virtual reality googles. The arcade has lots of arcade games (like Mario and Harlow, motorcycle and car driving games.), pinball machines, and a giant claw machine. We didn't try any games on his trip. They have indoor Go-cart races that require you to wear a helmet. The track is all lit up with neon lights. It's a pretty big course from what I can see. Six people were exiting the course when we walked by. They were all excited, filled with adrenaline and chattering about the good time they had. Lastly they have a bowling alley, it was pretty big, but not big enough to hold a private event there and have free bowling at the same time. When we were there it was being used by a private event. They have 18 interactive lanes. SUN - FRI UNTIL 5PM | $40/HR PER LANE and FRI 5PM - SAT | $45/HR PER LANE. Pricy, but I think that's still around the price of our bowling alley is back home. Shoe rental is $5 and if they have socks on hand it's $3. This looks like a really fun place to hang out and store your kids for a few hours while you gamble. It is expensive though and all of the machines take their cash card, like the casino rewards card they have a card system so there is no spontaneity when it comes to wanting to play a single game or two. This is how our BlVD is back home in Sacramento and probably how Dave and Busters is so it's not uncommon, but I prefer putting cash in a machine. When you pay cash you aren't committed to using a certain amount or making sure you have the right amount on your card. I really avoid these places do to this. Back in SF you can go to the Musee and it's a cash business. That's more my style. Next time my husband said we're skipping the Buffett and eating here or the steak house. Though once he sees the prices of the steak house, we'll be coming here for a burger.

Our game was the pirate themed Depths of Osiris (check out the preview vids on YouTube), and it was perfect for a team of an adult and two ten year olds. My boys had no trouble getting used to the VR gear they had to wear for the experience (a headset and two hand controllers - it was their first time). We had to cooperate to solve each room's puzzle to unlock a new room. Eventually, we got to the final scenario which was exciting and really required us to collaborate. The puzzles were well constructed and mostly understandable from a logic perspective. The graphics and sound were pretty decent (it's not super-high res like Cyberpunk) and matched the gameplay perfectly. We got some timely tips from the game master too, and cleared the puzzle with about a minute left on our 45 minute timer. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. They also have snacks and drinks which are nice to make the visit special for younger kids. My sons want to come back, and I do too. I also heard they are adding a physical escape room, so definitely something to look forward to.

I've been to Diablo Escapes twice now and have always been impressed by the customer service. Make sure you get there 15-20 minutes early so you have time to finish any waivers and get your packs set up for the room. There is an adjacent parking lot so you shouldn't have any issue finding any spot. You can easily book online and see what difficulty level each game is. If you've done VR or escape rooms before, you can probably start with intermediate. Each game will require some communication and teamwork to solve challenges or other puzzles. It can get a little hectic, so make sure you mesh well with your group (truly). The VR component really makes you feel like you've been transported to another place - be warned that it can make you feel a little queasy if you're not used to it, but the staff are great in making sure you are comfortable. They're quick to help troubleshoot if you get stuck or anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun group outing. We went over to philz coffee after and then went to Bare Bottle Brewing for some lunch and drinks.
